I’ve had the pleasure of being a tenant with United Welsh, and it’s been an experience worth sharing. From the beginning, they offered more than just a home – they gave me and my family a foundation to build our lives, surrounded by a supportive community. Maintenance was always handled promptly, thanks to Celtic Horizons, who kept everything running smoothly and the shared spaces clean and well-kept. The neighborhood itself, Beech Tree View, is a welcoming place with everything you need close by, from shops to local schools. United Welsh is dedicated to tenant well-being and always went above and beyond in communication. If an issue was raised, it was handled with care and attention, showing they genuinely care about the communities they support. It’s rare to find such dedication in housing today, and I’m grateful to United Welsh for creating a place where families can truly feel at home... Read more

Fuming , waited in for workmen one day last week , no show , waited inthe next day , nothing so phoned they told me they’d come but got no answer, so rebooked for this morning no show. Received a letter this afternoon that it’s now this afternoon , so why did the letter take so long to come by post so I waisted a morning ? The nasty letter also said if they can’t gain access theyl get a Court injunction and a fine of £300 so they better show up today ! What a group of liars as I know for sure they didn’t turn up last week there’s three of us in this house ! Now after paying out for drain bath unblocker they told me it’ll cost £34 .50 for the men to come to do it and to buy a plunger ,yes I’ve been plunging it ,yes I’ve paid for unblocker ,we’re pensioners and il have to try to get under the bath to take the pipe off but if not put on tight , I’ve arthritis in my hands they’ll charge you! When I see others getting things done on their houses getting furniture taken away for free when they wouldn’t help us I had to pay, it infuriates me!... Read more

Hassle you every week about rent arrears even though you are not in rent arrears!
Their rent system is ridiculous when I first moved in I was told to pay a week upfront, suddenly you have to be a month upfront.
The homes are thrown up so fast the cracks start to show within months, the latches on the fire doors break therefore you can not close the doors, so much for fire doors ????
You have no choice but to pay for communal maintenance yet they do no maintenance!
Put my tap on backwards and been waiting around a year for bathroom light to be fixed ????
The only time u hear of United Welsh is when they believe u owe money... Read more

Disgusting haviour of the staff and brs who are supposed to support mental health patients when suffering mentally and I got ignored and no response from staff. Honestly the worst housing association out there and have the worst support staff. If anyone mentions United Welsh or brs when leaving mental health hospitals run as far as you can they are nice the first few weeks then there true colours shine through. Absolute waste of time and space. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.... Read more

After 3 years of hell I finally moved out of my United welsh property , I never knew what a good and true landlord was until I went with another housing association.
My united welsh property was riddled with mould all over every single piece of furniture had to be thrown out I sent photos and complained so much but nothing got done all I was told is to open the windows. It was a structural issue.
Anti social behaviour was relentless and nothing ever got done about it I understand there is protocols but my god there's gotta be something that can be done. Especially when other tenants are at risk of physical harm !
And if you are disabled don't even bother, hoping they will cater for you or support you because they won't. They'll leave you to struggle.
The only good thing about united welsh is the kind understanding staff on the telephone who truly cares about you and tries there best to get you support. And when you cry in distress or overwhelment they listen to you and comfort you the best they can they go above and beyond they try their best.
When I signed for my keys with my new housing i told them/ showed them everything ive been through and cried my heart out and they understood they comforted me and ensured I will not struggle like that again. And my needs will be taking seriously and with care and understanding. And from day 1 they have proven that.
Another thing. Don't ask tenants to send keys back through the post ! It's not safe! And they may not arrive on time or get lost! And In some cases it's not the tenants fault.
As much as its the tenants responsibility its also your responsibility too as its your property you are the landlord and if a tenant isn't able to get the keys to you for medical reasons or disabled reasons you should at least be able to pick them up from them or help them out another way.
Landlords come around the property for inspection and more whats the difference ? Why is it so hard to quickly pick up keys from a former tenant who needs a little more help?
And why do you find it Acceptable to offer a tenant a new property that fits their disabled needs After they ask to end their tenancy! It's a slap in the face.
After I tried for years ! For you to help me get a new place suitable !... Read more

Buyer beware if you buy a property sharing a party wall or border with a United Welsh property. United Welsh have been carrying out works on two properties that sandwich ours in a terrace. Since then the contractors they have used have removed tiles off our roof (and put them back poorly, including using silicone in wet weather to wedge them down), stepped onto our extended roof to access their property and scaffolding they had erected, caused damage to fresh paintwork on our property and have constantly gaslit us with excuses about the conduct of the companies they are using to carry out the work. They have no respect for other people or other people's property. They also seem to have no control and management over the work, as we have regularly been told by the site manager for United Welsh that they 'didn't realise XYZ was happening' when it comes to work. When we complained about the conduct of contractors in regards to the damage or disrespect to our property, the site manager appeared to take the contractors word for it that they hadn't moved tiles/stepped onto our roof etc. We were also told no party wall agreement was needed for their work, which we now believe was a lie as they would have to delay work to obtain one.
I can only feel for residents in properties managed by United Welsh, if they treat tenants with as much contempt as they do people sharing a property boundary with theirs.... Read more

I had been a tenant of this housing association for a number of years. In my opinion. Unfortunately I don't have ANYTHING good to say about this housing association. Avoid these people never believe anything they say. (These people only got a star so I can post this). Very rude and insensitive
People working on behalf of a housing association that claims they will do all they can to make your place a happy and affordable when in my opinion it was the complete opposite. I'm so happy where I am now. Complete opposite to these people who treated me so poorly. A happy ending to years of battling with United Welsh.... Read more

I have read the mostly negative reviews. I guess you people don't live near me. I have had no real problems in 25 years of being a tenant with UWH. As a matter of fact it was tenant support worker Lesley Bevan who was instrumental in getting me help with my PIP payments. The PIP people failed to turn up twice. They, of course, said they had called and that I wasn't at home. Ms Bevan was at my home with a device that proved her location to refute this. Do you think that the PIP people would have believed me on my own? No I didn't think so.
Like I said, positive experiences so far.
Now because of changes in circumstances I'm in arrears with my rent. It will be interesting to see how this new relationship develops.... Read more
