Bought my property through Fussells 7 years ago - they were rude, abrupt and arrogant. Just about to sell my property and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole I'm afraid. Never under estimate the power of a bit of polite customer service in the long-term survival and reputation of your business.
I have just completed on a house purchase through the Caerphilly branch of Roberts & Co. The whole process was swift & I was kept up to speed with progress the whole way through. We are carrying out a lot of work at the property so needed to visit multiple times with builders etc & was never too much trouble for them.
Had a house viewing today at 10am booked with the Caerphilly branch for a house on Ilan Road... had to travel 25 miles from my current home for the viewing. Got there on time and nobody was there. Waited 10 mins ... still no sign of the agent. Called the office and the person who was supposed to be meeting me answered the phone!! When I said I had a viewing booked with him (which I booked through his colleague), he said he knew nothing about it and it wasn't in his diary. Said he had a viewing somewhere else within an hour so couldn't come down now to meet me. I know mistakes happen, but i'm not very impressed, I wasted my time and petrol to travel to look at the house, which by the way looked perfect for me and had everything I was looking for. I'd likely have made an offer if the inside was as expected. He did offer to book me in another day for a viewing - but if you can't even get your viewing appointments right it doesn't give a buyer much confidence in you as an agent and makes me believe you would be difficult to deal with later on down the line. I hope the seller of the property sees this and realises they have lost out on a sale because of Roberts.
A Fab and friendly estate agents who could never do enough to help. Aqual & the rest of the team were always extremely efficient & professional . I would highly recommend them.
Background info I am a teacher with a young daughter 6yra old, rented a property from these for 4 years. When moved out I hired a cleaner for 3 days to clean the whole property, had the house painted, and all carpets cleaned.
Very unprofessional service. Make you feel like worthless or less than they are. Miss out important information loose paper work, don't respond to urgent calls.
Rented a property for 4 years never missed a rental payment.
Not returning bond after check out and every house inspection said with everything is fine, looked after no problems etc....
no inventory was done because the property was damanged and in need of TLC painting, broken items when I moved in.
Left without heating with a young child for months. Nothing being done. Left with a broken boiler for over 2 years. Left with a faulty front door lock for over 3 years. Left with a leaking ceiling for 2 years had to eventually move out because of the damp. Faulty cooker from moment moved in never fixed. Didn't remove rubbish and furniture from garden when I moved in. Broken window locks never replaced or changed.
No help with maintenance throughout years of renting a property.
Leaks, ceilings fallen through, building work not completed.
Will not return bond because the landlord spent a week painting the property before renting the property again. I am now very upset about this as I never moaned, allways paid and now I am left being treated very badly, the way this estate agent has spoken to me over the past 6 months is very unprofessional. Would avoid at all costs. Now having to get legal advice because of the poor treatment.

A useless "Managment" Company. Our house has been bit by bit falling apart for years, we have raised so many issues and none of them get fully fixed, just patched up, the lastest was a showerscreen that again wasnt fixed just patched up, which then in turn fell onto my foot, when I called them to complain and get it fixed they were rude and uncaring and said they cannot force the landlord to actually fix things, this was 3 weeks ago, and gues what my shower screen is still on the landing! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
