I’m absolutely devastated at the poor service I have received from the Caerphilly Peter Alan branch.
I was accepted for a lovely home in Caerphilly and paid my holding deposit. Since I had sent the payment I tried contacting Peter Alan for documents and to collect the keys but had real difficulty getting any kind of response to move the process on.
At this point I had given my notice in to my current landlord.
They had called me today which is a week later to tell me that my offer had fallen through and that I will no longer be moving into the property.
This Is an absolute disgrace as it’s left me without a place to live.
I would strongly advise you not to use their terrible unprofessional services.
I also imagine I’ll have difficulty in retrieving my deposit back.

Extremely Unprofessional - Do Not Recommend Peter Alan Agency
My experience with Peter Alan Agency has been nothing short of a nightmare. The level of unprofessionalism and delays throughout the entire process was staggering. I attempted to buy a house through them, and despite dealing with them for over two years, the transaction was never completed successfully.
To make matters worse, even after the deal fell through, we are still waiting for our money, two years after the fact! Their communication has been terrible, leaving us in the dark for most of the process. I would never recommend this agency to anyone looking for a smooth and professional experience. Stay away unless you want to deal with endless frustration and stress.

My neighbour is selling her house with Peter Alan and as I’m looking to sell mine I contacted Peter Alan on the website. When they called I was driving which you could clearly hear. I asked if they could drop me an email so I could contact back with dates for a valuation. This is when the man I was speaking to got pushy and rude. Asking when will you contact, what days can you do, again I said I’m driving I can’t check my work calendar until I stop, again rudely the man started saying well we get booked up quick so when, again had to say I’m driving drop me an email and I will book in, I will sort when not driving but again pushing for appointment and very rudely said but we get booked up, in the end had to end the call as wasn’t listening and the attitude was ridiculous. Have no interest in dealing with them now.

Jordan and Abigale have been brilliant! Peter Alan have been the only agents who have consistently made efforts to communicate and offer alternatives for us. Most other agents have left us in the dark most likely because there's alot of business out there at the moment and they don't give a hoot about their applicants. Peter Alan have offered great support over multiple branches during our search, their staff are helpful and friendly. If you're struggling to find somewhere to live, I strongly recommend to give them a call provide your details and what you're looking for and they can help by letting you know what's coming to the market. The earlier you can get in the better.

We are in the early stages of purchasing our first home through Peter Alan. From the moment I sent a request for a viewing the response was prompt, professional and friendly and has been ever since. The agent who showed us round the house was very welcoming and knowledgeable, she answered every question we had. Peter Alan have just finalised the sale of my property. Not the easiest of tasks in a period with lockdown and restrictions.
Lydia in the Caerphilly branch game me confidence that they would be able to successfully market the property. She was efficient and the property was on the main web sites very quickly. I was notified in good time of each prospective buyer’s visits and with purchase offers and advice.
Once a sale was agreed Claire stepped in regularly checking on progress and stepping in to overcome delays and was tenacious in her efforts to drive completion. Without her help I am sure the transaction would have been unnecessarily delayed.

I phoned Peter Alan for an appointment with the Mortgage Advisor and came through to Jocelyn who promptly helped me book in a general appointment after fearing I wouldn’t get one for weeks along with my work commitments, she was very polite and put my mind at ease and offered me multiple dates and times available to find the one the best suited me and my availability. I have never know such incompetence from such a company.
I moved out of my property which was managed by Peter Alan 7 weeks ago, i have not heard a word from them even though i phoned twice and even went into the office. They promised to escalate my problem to the regional manager and i have heard from him either.
After i put my letter of intent to vacate i had a reply from head office with the correct date. During the next month the lettings team headed by Dane Jones kept on phoning me at really short notice asking if they could show people around. This i agreed to. What i didn't agree to was members of staff just letting themselves in without my permission and leaving my lights on. It was still my house and i was still paying the bills. Their excuse was they thought i had vacated, my furniture was still in there and i told them 3 times my leaving date
Up until this minute i have not heard from them with reference to my out muster and my bond has still not been returned to me. I wonder if this complaint will get me some action.

The staff that take you to view the properties are polite and professional however once you are past that stage and dealing with their sales “negotiator” it’s a different story.
I found particular staff very rude & pushy. Twice I was accused of holding up the sales process. If she had actually bothered to find out her facts first before passing comment she would have known that I was actually ahead of them and waiting on their side to sort things out.
The second member would not listen to basic things so I had to repeat myself numerous times on the same call about the same issue. She also made me feel like I was a liar at certain points when I was willing, and offered, to back up what I was saying but she refused to accept stating no one was available to deal with it further and she was the only person left in the office yet minuets before someone from that office transferred me to her?!
If they had the same approach and professionalism as the gentleman and two ladies that helped with the viewings I would have provided a higher rating because they were genuinely helpful however certain members of the team have a bad attitude and it really lets them down. I’ve spoken to many people who think the same. I really think particular staff would benefit from a customer service course or something similar to improve on how the treat their customers. If the branch manager Kevin wishes to discuss this further he has my details. It was briefly mentioned in a call but it seemed to fall on deaf ears.

What an absolutely brilliant branch in Caerphilly. We had a leak in our mortgaged property and had to find a rental while work takes place in our home. We have been looking for somewhere for 2 months to meet criteria we had to have. Rhys went above and beyond any duties he had to do. After 1 property fell through, Rhys took it upon himself to help us find another. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, he did it! Between phone calls and emails from the insurance and a housing relocation firm Rhys did everything he could to help us secure a property. He listened to how stressful our situation was and how many dead ends I had met and he solved it all.

Rhys@peteralan top man. I don’t usually leave a review but will like to share my experience I had with peter Alan. I purchased a flat from auction in Caerphilly without viewing. Property was in serous disrepair needs new electric rewire , new boiler new doors and full refurbish. Me living in Luton that would be a big struggle however Rhys at peter Alan managed to organise all this for me at very reasonable price from his contacts without me being there so I have not lost any income from my job, and he managed to secure a tenant paying £500 a month that’s a yeld over 15%
I have done business up and down the country no agents will go out of your way to do this. I will definitely do business with them again and recommend others too specially landlords you must try them before others and see the difference for yourself. Thank you Rhys@peteralan

A really fabulous, positive experience, great communication, the wonderful Leanne (Caerphilly ) office was a total angel, she very kindly squeezed another property in to view for me that I really wanted to see, which has now turned out to be my new home, Yippeeeee, I am so thankful to her. We are currently coming to the end of our purchase with Peter Alan and they have been absolutely brilliant. We popped in one Saturday to get put on the system of interest in houses and Lauren not only done that even though she was busy, she also booked us for a house viewing that afternoon! Since then she has been brilliant with keeping us in the loop and then found us our perfect home, always asking us how we were getting on and if we need anything. Claire has also been fantastic answering any questions or giving advice when needed. Cant recommend them enough!

Reasons are that we found them extremely thorough at sending us e-mails and also telephoning to let us know properties that they thought would be suitable for us
We had quite a few things on our "this is what we want"list
Fair play to Lauren and Sandra we got three out of the four on our list
We are very happy with our property
The staff we dealt with, especially Lauren and Sandra were extremely helpful and very, very pleasant

These are the worst estate agents I've ever encountered. We offered the full price for a property, after several months and having spent a lot of money on fees etc, we were told different stories from this agent. One staff member told us everything was going through fine and we were given a possible date we could move in, the next day we were told that the vendors were not selling to us after all! When we queried why they were very rude and unhelpful offering no explaination. The staff member was helpful when making the sale, but the same staff member was rude and aggressive when their vendor had cancelled it.

Be very careful about Peter Alan I had a bad experience with them over a property that I was buying.
They seem to favour the seller more then the buyer and seem to push push even when things need to be done after a valuation has been done and need to be rectifed.
I had to stop the sale with my solicitor untill they where done by the builder.
Then the office manager call was rude I said would you buy it.
