Disgusting customer service, unprofessional way of dealing with customer. Got a very short notice of a viewing, literally a half day before, despite I've emailed them about property 4 days beforehand... I would wholeheartedly recommend Urban Lettings. Coincidentally, I have been a tenant as well as a Landlord with this company! Tenant in 2013, while searching for a property to buy nearby, and loved the way they handled the tenancy from the beginning to the disagreement I had with the Landlord (I did have to pay a bit, but it seemed fair). The whole transaction appeared logical and professional. So, three year later, I employed Urban Lettings as my Letting agency for the property I bought, when leaving the tenancy. They brought me tenants within a week of contract signing. It’s only later as a Landlord I realised that Christian and his team take a lot of efforts to look into the background of the tenants and have a fantastic screening strategy, and not to forget that they have a very competitive fees. So as a Landlord you have a bigger peace of mind. They handled the dispute with my first tenant very well. The second tenants took real care of property, and were absolutely fantastic, with no disputes and a 100% return of the deposit. Christian and his team is very polite and professional to talk to. He will advise and provide honest opinion. I just sold the property as the Mortgage was too high and seemed unfair to pass on such high cost to tenants, so that marks an end of my journey with Urban Lettings. They look out for the interest of both the Landlords as well as the Tenants. I wish them the best for future!... Read more

As a disclaimer, this isn't directed at all the staff but at the management. Unprofessional, incompetent and with a despicable attitude sums up the management, who believe that going back on their word (in writing or otherwise) is an acceptable way to run a business. I would not recommend the agency to anyone who wants to be treated with respect as a tenant for the following reasons: - The agency forced us to agree to major works in the last five days of our tenancy by deliberately downplaying how major the works would be. - Their contractor blocked our fire exit for a whole day, which was only addressed when we repeatedly called them about it. - Their contractor left a mess which they expected us to clean up. - Their actions left us without use of our kitchen for four days. - They at first refused any compensation for not being able to use our kitchen, then decided that it was reasonable to offer £15 per day to cover the cost of eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner in London. - They have repeatedly refused to address our concerns, including but not limited to choosing to ignore their promises to us in writing, referring to unsigned documents and treating them as if they have legal significance and the astounding lack of communication throughout the entire situation. All in all, their attitude is despicable because they caused us a major issue, especially in our last week at the rented property, and not only failed to adequately address it themselves but also saw it fit to go back on their word to us. Overall, untrustworthy and unprofessional, would not recommend them to anyone who values themselves as a customer or as a human being.... Read more

We have been using Urban Lettings to deal with the letting for our property in Clapham for around 10 years now. In total we have 3 rentals around the UK and have gone through a wide variety of lettings agents and Urban Lettings are far the best. They’re 100% client focused and ensure that both tenants and landlords are happy. We live overseas and find that Urban Lettings make things super easy for us. If there’s any maintenance issues they provide reliable, fairly priced tradesman and manage the entire process with little intervention from me. Their level of service and quality of work far exceeds any other agents that we have used and they are exceptional value for money. I can’t recommend these guys enough. I only wish that we could use them for our other properties too.... Read more

Stay away from this company because they ripping people money. I am heating and gas engineer I attended on of them site it was on boxing day I managed to sorted out. boiler pressure was zero refill the system and fired up boiler lady was very happy.Now they owed me £125 they won't pay but I am gonna take action against them.... We were recommended Urban Lettings by a colleague. We've been letting our property through Urban Letting for the second year now. Very happy with the service right from the start. Christian is not one of those pushy agents; he was calm, transparent and honest about his company and I didn't feel pressured at all. He was one of the deciding factors to go with this agency. Their fees are very reasonable and I like the fact that they drop their letting fees after the first year if the tenants renew the contract (so this year we only pay the management fee). Our property is fully managed by them and Bob is great in keeping me updated on any issues. A couple of times a year we receive an inspection report incl photos. Gemma sends through a statement of account every month. Never have had to chase her for these. They are an easy way to keep track of what's happening at your property and are extremely helpful when filling in your tax return! Would highly recommend this agency!... Read more
