Private Landlords – Pay attention. I have recently been unfortunate to have been a customer of Varosi Lettings as a landlord. I wish I read the reviews beforehand. I took a 2-year contract out with them to look after my property and pay rent for doing so. I had a few issues to say the least with regards to the clients they decided to house in my property. Regardless of any of these issues I was within my rights to request my keys back at the end of the 2-year contract. Within their contract it is stated they need 3 months, to the date, of the end of contract worth of notice. Not only did I email and receive confirmation by the owner Vasilis Mavrou, I also sent a Royal Mail tracked and signed letter which I also have the proof of receipt. Regardless of this information they were adamant that they did not accept the letter or email (to which they were not clear why it was not accepted). 2 days before the hand back date I spoke with Vasilis and he indicated there was absolutely no way I was getting my keys back within the contracted date agreed. I feel his ego was bruised as I wanted my keys back (again within contracted rights). As you can imagine I was very upset and confused. I spoke to my solicitor who proceeded to handle this for us. He also received vague emails from Vasilis himself regarding the contract that they may, or may not have with the local authorities and/or the client. 6 weeks later and a lot of stress and upset later, I finally received my keys back. The property was left in a state, filthy and still needed furniture to be removed. I accept wear and tear, but damage and uncleanliness is not acceptable. After speaking with Mario Neocleous, I also got confirmation a professional cleaning company had been in before the hand back. As you can see from the pictures taken, this is not the case. I am not sure why, as an agent they could not uphold the contract on their end and therefore have cost me as their customer not only a financial loss for solicitors and other expenses but also stress and a disregard for my rights as a landlord. Absolutely unprofessional and a rude organisation. Vasilis is not only rude and patronizing, but he feels a sense of authority as a high member of the Greek Cypriot community. A big shame, we call ourselves a hospitable and kind race. I feel this is lost with Varosi Lettings. I wonder how they would feel if they were treated with this manor. Mario, Petros, Hassan, Sandra and of course the main man Vasilis is who I dealt with over the 2 plus year period.... Read more

BEWARE OF THIS AGENT. They had promised to hand me my property back in January 2020, when I had clearly specified in January 2019 (1 year ago!!) that i would need the property vacant at that time. However, today June 2020, I still have sitting tenants in my property due to Varosi's negligence, the agent had failed to deliver their promise of handing property back on time. Staffs are very rude and hang the phone when you call them and explain the situation. They avoid you on the telephone and emails. I have had to attend their office to ensure they had started court procedure, and when I arrived at their office I found out staffs were chilling and had not started the legal procedures despite giving notice 1 year ago. Very unprofessional agent. I am leaving this review and hopefully landlords will read and decide before giving Varosi their properties to manage. I have family who have also given properties to this agent and are currently facing similar issues of getting property back. Please be careful.... Read more

Cant even call them an agent. They are just crooks. Not to be used. They pay rent late and deduct lots of unnecessary costs so you come out with pennies and then they dont even pay the last rent. They kept our flat well over our agreement date had ended. Then they hand our flat back and stole everything inside and told us to claim off insurance. Google should offer a 0 star rating for this kind as a 1 star is too generous. Polite to get you in and then they behave like sharks... Read more

TRULY SAD STORY - I have given my property in good faith to Varosi the agent, who had confirmed 2 days notice is given to tenant before property is handed back given "temporary housing scheme/ nightly let scheme". But when the time came to give me my property back I have had to wait over 1 year before they had started Court procedure to evict the tenants. They threatened to pay my rent in arrears, and do not answer the telephone when I call them. I am now staying in a temporary hotel as I have sold my home just before lockdown of COVID-19 & was planning to move into the property I had requested back from Varosi. But sadly, the tenants are still sitting in my property while I stay in a temporary hotel with my 1 year old son and husband. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST Varosi and DO NOT give your properties. All reviews online seem to be fake. I also have another friend who is having similar issues with their property with the same agent. These people need to be sued for Negligence and misleading honest & hardworking landlords.... Read more

Rented out from Varosi for 3.5 years, a flat managed by the agency. Aware in London market estate agents are quite inefficient/not willing to help tenants. However I sticked with them since George and Ahmet have been extremely efficient: if I ever had a problem they would come and fix the flat within next 1 or 2 days, never felt more secure renting!
