I have been working in the property sector for over 2o years, and have worked with many estate agents during this time. Since working with Durham Venture for the last 3 - 4 years I would not consider using anyone else at this time. They are extremely professional not just with myself, but also with my tenants which is very important to my business. I find them very trustworthy, and I usually ask their advice on relevant decisions my business needs to make. I am grateful I can depend on their experience and consider them part of my team!

BE WEARY!
We had to chase these agents to communicate with us about a property. We then finally went through the application process late on a Saturday and got the approval from the landlord. It was too late to put the holding deposit down so they asked for us to ring back Monday. We did so 'too late' as in the meantime they gave the property to someone else. When asked for an explanation, the 'mansplaining', constant interruption, and rudeness was shocking. Horrible agents to deal with, stay away. So many better options in Durham area!

The comments regarding the viewing that was set up are correct.

Unfortunately when told to call back on Monday, I was in no way told the urgency of doing so first thing. It was not explained that if someone else applied and was approved, as I was, they would give the property to whomever paid the holding deposit first. If I had known this, I would have acted much sooner. Unfortunately, I was in hospital from the Sunday supporting family after an accident and therefore was not able to communicate until Friday afternoon.

The call that was made to let me know someone else had applied came at 2 in the afternoon. If the urgency was so clear, why was I not called in the morning straight after the other applicants had been successful?

The response to all this when I did get through in the afternoon was that Venture Properties works for the landlord and therefore Connor acted in their best interests. This can only mean this this agency sees tenants as secondary. Why would any tenant want to work with an agency who doesn't value them as much as their other clientele?

Connor at Venture Properties neither acted professionally nor respectfully towards me when I asked for an explanation. I spoke to his manager Todd this morning who did not even apologize for his employees bad behavior. Clearly from the response below they do not feel responsible for the situation or for their obvious and extreme lack of customer care. My review stands: LOOK ELSEWHERE, do not be treated as second-class because you're the prospective tenant instead of the landlord.

Fantastic, first class service! All staff were very friendly and helpful. It only took 3 weeks from start to finish for a tenant to be moved into my house. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

How do you make an appointment to view a house Venture are selling. Do owners of these property's not answer there phones. Iv tried twice to get a viewing and all I get is we will ring the owner,, then nothing, no phone calls back with a viewing day. Are these property's really up for sale.

We recently sold a property through the Durham office and bought the new one through the Crook office. Throughout, all the staff worked hard to make the process as smooth and stress free for us as it can be. Venture sold our house in one week!
