Rang to enquire about a property for rent and a woman answered. She was like a computerised human who wouldn’t/couldn’t answer a simple question eg. furnishing level that most estate agents should be able to. They should have an inventory if she’d bothered to look but instead she kept insisting that I travel all the way up from London to find out for myself! Would have been funny had it not been so ludicrous. Suffice to say, I’d rather not deal with this estate agent. Not recommended.
Response to owner; So you’d expect people to travel 500 miles over a 9 hour return trip to see something that’s not even confirmed yet?? That’s one appalling policy. Respect is earned (by sensible people) not demanded.

The Lettings Agents are ridiculously bad at communication, will tell you they'll call you back or return your call yet you'll never hear from them again. Really frustrating particularly when you have been strung along for several weeks regarding a property. Do not recommend.

I have not been in Robinsons. Just walked past the premises. I am always getting asked for reviews of premises after simply walking past them. I'm sure Robinsons is a great business, but I have not even been in the shop. I have given you 5 stars. 1 star was in error. In typing my original reply, one of my fingers has obviously made connection with the first star. My apologies.

Lettings Manager is a disgrace. I’ve rented a property out for a year and was lucky to have an amazing landlord. My contract has ended and due to a death in the family I couldn’t renew the contract due to leaving work and relocating down south where all my family are, and becoming many thousands in debt. I have struggled to hire a van to drive from Cambridge to Durham to remove all my bigger goods in the house ready for the new tenants to move in a few days after the contract ends. I don’t drive so this made it a lot harder. I packed all my main things in a car which belongs to my brother in law and set off at 3am in order to return the keys to the agency on time. I phoned the estate agents to let them know I haven’t managed to remove the bigger goods such as a sofa. I was met with the rude ‘manager’ on the phone who was shouting at me and threatening me with court. I couldn’t even speak to explain anything as he was shouting non stop. I understand his frustration but there’s absolutely no need to shout at me on the phone, it’s disgusting. You never know what people are going through and he knew the circumstances with my family death which he clearly didn’t take into consideration before shouting at me and giving verbal abuse and saying that I only came up with a ‘suitcase’ in which I obviously didn’t, he was being sarcastic. I came to the office to hand the keys in, the ladies were lovely and when I confronted the so called manager about his behaviour on the phone, he remained calm and didn’t do anything. Funny how he couldn’t care less on the phone but different story in person. Robinsons do not care about their clients, no matter the circumstances. The only support I’ve had is from my landlord who rightfully should be the one frustrated, but my landlord has been nothing but understanding, reasonable and patient. I am disgusted with how I was treat by this ‘manager’.

I am searching for an apartment from abroad, and when I inquired about a rental the agency was listing, they essentially told me that an in-person viewing was mandatory to apply for the unit. This is of course impracticable for someone in my situation, so I suggested a virtual viewing, as several other agencies in the area offer. They responded that this would be impossible because a tenant is currently occupying the unit. But surely an in-person viewing would run up against the same practicality, no? The agent would have to arrange a mutually convenient time with the current tenant for a viewing whether it was happening in person or virtually. This policy, if it really exists, is both unreasonable and, so far as I can tell, nonstandard in the area; but truthfully, part of me suspects that the agents may just be lazy and looking for a way to avoid showing a property, or that the agency would prefer not to deal with foreigners. None of these possibilities is at all flattering.

the landlord (DH6 1EN) showed me around the house. both of us were very happy and I told the landlord I would contact Robinson to proceed with my application. the landlord said that if the agency was happy with the reference check, he had no obligation, he also told me he had a bad experience before and this was why he looked for the agency now. Robinson approached me after the viewing and asked for my detail and sent me the Homelet application online after we agreed that I pay at least 6 months' rent in front. after the agency told me the landlord changed his mind, I asked Homelet and was told that Homelet did not do my reference check at all.
Robinsons replied to my 2 star feedback this morning (trustpilot) and claimed that I upset the landlord and therefore the landlord changed his mind. total less than 5 minutes of house viewing, I did not speak much and only praised the landlord for their well-tidied garden. they seemed very happy about my viewing.
you ask for the viewer's feedback, and now I, being the viewer, also ask for the landlord's feedback. please provide me the landlord's feedback as to how I upset him and her, thank you.

Not a good experience at all, data not kept correctly and not logged so phonecalls get missed this resulted in a false statement given by a employee regarding the sale of my house. The interim marketing and valuation had nothing about how to increase sale or advice on market, what to improve, simply reduce the price by £15,000 Which is a hell of a lot when they don't offer any justification for a reduction that bug just it hasn't sold yet so it must be the price......

Agents nigh on impossible to speak to. Adverts are for houses that landlords have removed from market. Emails work but take ages. Just not helpful. Everyone sounds very stressed or not interested when you do find a human.

All of the girls I spoke to in the office were really lovely and made sure I had everything I needed and answered any questions I had!
