She helped guide & advise us until we had a buyer. She is an absolute asset to Sarah Mains & goes over and beyond. Kelly was brilliant also once we had a buyer, she kept on top of everything, verifying/acknowledging/negotiationing on my behalf, simply great. Thank you Jane our progresser what can I say, simply remarkable, a very similar person to myself, I can not give Jane enough credit for her outstanding tenacity, patience & sheer determination to getting to the bottom of things & finally helping us get over the line. Donna once again thank you for helping me too. All the team have been remarkable a huge credit to Sarah Mains, Well done ???? Todays our moving in day and we are both grateful, elated & relieved ???? 30th Oct 2024 (11 weeks ago)My experience with Rise has been nothing short of dreadful. From the very beginning of our tenancy, dealing with Rise was a constant struggle. They were difficult to reach, rarely picked up the phone, and often seemed completely uninformed about the status of issues we raised. It became increasingly unclear what anyone at Rise actually did, as they consistently failed to communicate or provide any support. Maureen, who was supposedly responsible for property issues, often seemed completely out of the loop. During our tenancy, it was common to be redirected to different people, none of whom had any real information about our concerns or seemed able to offer solutions. This disorganization was particularly evident when we tried to resolve discrepancies with our deposit. Other team members continually told us to contact Paddy, yet none of them could provide any assistance themselves. Paddy, in turn, was often condescending and dismissive, making the entire process feel unnecessarily antagonistic. I found myself sending more than double the emails we received in return, just to get basic responses on matters that should have been straightforward. Overall, I would strongly recommend that students look elsewhere for housing options. In the year prior we had a great experience with Loc8me. Although they may charge slightly more for some properties, the responsiveness, professionalism, and care their staff provide is worlds apart from what we experienced with Rise. Our time with Rise felt like a lesson in poor property management, and I would advise others to avoid them if they’re looking for a smooth rental experience.

All of the viewing have been done, the offers collated and we have received email and telephone communication throughout the process. We are pleased we chose Reeds Rains, Durham.

Nothing was a bother and offered regular updates throughout the journey! If we had any queries they would get back to us ASAP . We put our house up for sale with Reeds Rains and within 3 days it had sold. Emily was so helpful from start to finish. Keeping us up to date throughout and made the process a lot easier for us. Couldn’t recommend a better estate agent!

They were always polite, friendly and helpful and did everything they could to complete the sale successfully. If you need a dependable estate agent look no further.

I received feedback on viewings and I was kept up to date throughout the whole process of letting the property. The team are excellent and I would have no hesitation in using Ben Charles again in the future.

29th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)Struggled to get anywhere with maintenance issues. Moved in July 2024 (around 5 months ago) and we still have outstanding maintenance issues to be fixed despite raising these issues through Hive’s maintenance system the first week we moved in. We have contacted multiple members of staff regarding these issues and half of them have been resolved after chasing them but the rest seems to be forgotten about. I have now gave up chasing for them to be fixed.
18th Mar 2024 (9 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
