They prepared and marketed the property materials efficiently, and proactively coordinated communications between the seller and buyer throughout the whole sale. We are very satisfied with their service and would highly recommend them.

14th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)Tried selling a flat with them and it was a drawn out and painful process. It lasted more than a year before it fell through. Going with their contractors and solicitors was the biggest mistakes I made in the sale. I thought if I went with their recommendations, they will facilitate the process, but no. One was dishonest and the other one completely incompetent. Stuart Edward was initially responsive, but then when run into problems months down the line, Lindsey stopped answering calls and the boss Stuart did not call back when messages left. I was left on my own to deal with all the technicality and mess. It was so horrible and stressful, I do not wish it on anyone. Two stars was being very generous as they were ok initially. I went with them because I wanted to support family business. Never again.
2nd Mar 2019 (7 years ago)We are student at Durham University and we decided to rent a house. I called the estate agent and they agreed to send us the agreement and everything to rent this one house that we really liked. We were supposed to arrive a week later to submit the forms and pay deposit. When I got the papers, they confirmed with us that the house would be definitely be reserved for us. However, the morning we were supposed to hand in the papers, I got a short, badly articulated email saying that the property was no longer available and that we should look somewhere else. No explanation, nothing. We were angry because student accommodation is competitive and we lost so much time waiting for this house. Upon emailing them multiple times, they finally said that the previous tenants decided to stay for another year. Didn’t they confirm with the current tenants that they would be moving out? Why would they even list the house if that was an option? .Why send us the agreements and everything? They didn’t even bother trying to find us other options that we could stay at instead. All and all, I would never use this agent again because their service is absolutely terrible
15th Sep 2026 (30 days ago)No matter which member of staff you contact the service is consistently good. Communication is clear and follow-up on point. Staff maintain a friendly and relaxed manner and are professional at the same time as being well informed and on the ball.

This was the first letting experience and I was impressed by the helpful and comprehensive information received at every stage of the process. What essentially could have been a stressful and difficult procedure to navigate ran smoothly and efficiently thanks to your professionalism, care and of course the personal touch, which was so important.

Right from the very courteous and professional first contact, through to the final stages, I could not fault them in the slightest. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and gave excellent advice. Given all the work they did, I regard their fee as very reasonable. Going with them as my agent was the best decision I could possibly have made.
24th Sep 2026 (21 days ago)Chosen because on the doorstep. So easy access. Based in area so yes, expectation was that they would have good knowledge and others probably chose for the same reason. On line quotes were half the price but not accessible. They informed us know everytime there was a viewing and who it was, (they did all viewings).
2nd Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Got in touch regarding a rental property.<br>The moment i mentioned i was on benefits i felt totally discriminated against.<br>She said that benefits can stop at any time. I said i didnt think so. She replied oh so your going to stay on benefits for the rest of your life then!<br>Wouldnt even listen that i could get good references from my current landlord.<br>Many people are on benefits for lots of different reasons and do not need to be discrimiated against like this.<br>I suggest people skills and compassionate courses for this woman!
18th Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)It has only taken 7 weeks for Venture to sell my property, how wonderful is that. The staff there have been so helpful, keeping us up to date every step of the way. We have used this estate agent in the past and their help and professionalism is excellent.
14th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)We lived in a 3 bedroom house in Durham for over 3 years and Evenmore is one of the most incompetent and unprofessional companies I have ever encountered. I would recommend avoiding them as a letting company at all costs. We had multiple times things break and not only did they fail to communicate timeframes or expectations but left us in limbo without a washer or an oven for multiple weeks. They never told us the exact expectations for property inspections, but we thought we were doing fine when for two years our reviews never flagged any issues. Midway through our tenancy they changed who inspected the property and said we were failing to comply with the terms of the lease. They attempted to blame us even though these expectations were never communicated to us and our past inspections were fine. They even made passive aggressive comments to my wife about the house looking “disgusting” and “smelly.” We have two toddlers so that was the tommie tippie. This was a part of a pattern of making insensitive and unprofessional comments about us and lacked any care for us as the tenant. We got locked out of our kitchen and no one picked up their emergency line and so we had to wait for a day to get in our kitchen. Moreover, when we were leaving they scheduled appointments without our knowing and entered the home with prospective tenants while my wife was in the shower and our son was sleeping in his room. They blamed it on a technical error. They again, took no accountability for their own mistakes and unprofessionalism. When we exited the property we payed 400 in expert cleaners to come and clean the whole property. They took all of our deposit back saying they had to spend hundreds in house cleaning. They are only concerned to cover up their own failures to communicate and care for the tenant. If I was a landlord and knew how poorly they communicated with their tenants I would have serious reservations about using them to manage my property. Expats beware.
