Absolutely the worst letting agency i have ever rented from, and I have rented consistently and frequently. They only care about the comfort of their landlords and the profits. They seem all nice and wholesome at first and they portray themselves to be a “family run business” until you actually need them. Have advised all my friends and family to avoid them at all costs.

I cannot recommend Walton & Hipkiss highly enough. The team in Hagley were fantastic from valuation through to completion. The valuation was exactly the same as the chartered surveyor which was a good start. However the support given by Janis and the team at Hagley was remarkable. We were selling my Aunts family home. As we didn't live in the property, WH liaised with all the trades and services people - house clearance, electricians, surveyors etc. Plus they kept an eye on the house. Going in regularly, putting on the heating and generally it was like having a member of the family supporting us through a very difficult time. Additionally, Janis is remarkably good at keeping solicitors on track! Thank you to Alice, Janis and the team at Hagley. You were a godsend!

Disappointed communication with this estate agents, lettings dept, when a property comes up great location for me for lots of reasons but that don’t matter not taken into account that question is never asked! as its not important anyway as you advertised a house to let a month before tenants vacate I never received a call back after numerous calls from me for an update as I couldn’t believe how long a potential tenant had to wait to book a viewing which you could not view Until it was empty & whilst I Understand that part, but been told same story that “we will give you a call back” everytime I rang for a update and given a time it will be empty to book a viewing i Still never got a call back no surprise there, after only given a name and contact number and being one of the first to enquire about the property as soon as it was listed to let! i thought I’d be in with a chance?
I trusted id get a a call back-after waiting patiently 6weeks!! to view it Still waiting only to discover the property is now let agreed! by doing the online search Obviously had other intentions regards to letting property unfair! don’t waste people’s time and be honest or change the way you deal with it ..on that note why advertise a property a month in advance and then get people like me having to call you back because I couldn’t understand why you never called back when you told me clearly that I will get a call ASAP!

If you are looking for a rental property then I could not recommend Walton and Hipkiss any higher! So often as a tenant you can feel marginalised and like a second class citizen. All of the staff at W&H go out of their way to make sure this is not the case. They actively listen and make sure you are looked after as a tenant to the very best of their ability. Such lovely to people to do business with.

Issues from the start. Property was not ready to be leased due to the heating system not working, this was not checked by agency before my move in date. 6 days to fix, no apology. Other issues but because the landlord said they were not working before I moved in he does not need to repair them and letting agent sides with landlord 100% of the time. No customer satisfaction at all. Suggest not using them or go around the property and check absolutely everything before signing anything. Insist on inventory before you move in, people can't keep using Covid as an excuse for not carrying out their role and responsibility.

What can I say from the first phone call I made with Walton and Hipkiss... They were so professional.
I was relocated from York to Brierley Hill due to my job. I was looking for an apartment near to my work place.
Aimee Taylor and her team were fantastic...everything fell into place just perfectly. It didn’t matter what questions I had they answered them and went above and beyond, by preparing the flat in a record time! Thank you for making my move so easy and relaxed.

Eleanor managed to find tenants for all 3 apartments within a matter of days. Moreover, they are communicative and friendly, more so than the vast majority of their counterparts in the industry, and we would definitely recommend their services to others.

My boyfriend and I were very disappointed with our viewing and the subsequent lack of response from the estate agent. Firstly, the agent was late to the viewing, (she told us she was at Wetherspoons the night before) and struggled to get the key into the door, or find the right key. After leaving us to our own devices (no fault of her own, due to Covid) she asked us to leave a review for her if we liked the property. We loved the property, applied, and heard nothing back for over a week. We emailed to check if we were successful or not, and received no reply. We rang to ask and were told the agent had gone on holiday and hadn't passed the case on to anyone else. Really disappointed as it was a wonderful property, but the poor service and communication really let it down.

We rented a property for 18months through Walton & Hipkiss Hagley branch, everyone knows when you rent a property it is all smiles from the estate agents until you are ready to leave the property and then the battle begins with them trying to take as much money as possible from you. As we began the process of ending our contract there was a few mishaps and bad communication with the estate agents and hostile moods from the staff, until a girl called Aimee Taylor contacted us on the behalf of the lettings team from her first email to the end of the contract she has been fantastic, she has fully restored our faith in the company and has been very reasonable, polite and helpful. Out of all the estate agent companies we have dealt with, thanks to Aimee, this one has been the most pleasant and smooth running! There were no problems at all from the beginning or during the rental period. Overall I would recommend Walton & Hipkiss over other estate agent companies in the stourbridge area.

We usually have an agent called Aimee who responds to us if and when we have an issue, and she is always very responsive, polite and helpful. I would certainly recommend W&H if you are looking to rent a property.

Have received a first class service from both the residential sales department and residential lettings department over the last year. Having sold my home very quickly I decided to rent for a short period prior to retiring and then buy a property this Spring. When I accidentally locked myself out recently at 7.30pm mid week, Eleanor from the lettings dept thankfully came to my rescue knowing I live on my own. In no time at all and without any hesitation she kindly drove to my property with the spare key despite it being well “out of business hours”. Where else would you receive five star service like that !!

Had to sell my mother-in-laws house as she went into a care home. I live at the other end of the country, so needed an estate agent to manage everything without me being around. Janis at W&H managed everthing very smoothly and it was a very easy sale. She kept to her word about checking on the property, having cash buyers on her books and was endlesly patient and super efficient. Jeremy also sorted out a very stressful (for me) last minute hitch with a calm approach and knowledgable solution to sort it out. Can't recommend them enough.
