A truly awful company operated by sheer incompetence to the point of malice. Over a period of 4 years of letting our property through them, we were paid incorrectly, late or not at all on 14 separate occasions and spent a lot of time chasing up those payments. In 2017 a rental increase was applied to the tenancy but for 13 months, this increase was not passed on to us. Again it was only by chance that we picked this up. We paid Warnfield Hewitt to take care of rent collection and payment and despite chance after chance they continued to screw up. In the end we had enough of this completely unacceptable level of service and they had the temerity to charge us £132 for leaving their service! Following a complaint which outlined the above as our reasons for leaving, this charge was refunded, but with no apology and no acknowledgement of wrong doing on their part, citing only that they wanted to avoid a lengthy administration process. 3 months on from moving our lettings management to another company, we are still beholden to their incompetence which is frankly becoming malicious. They have refused to hand over the contact details for the tenant, citing "GDPR" and "consent from the tenant". They are not responding to communication and I am left to assume that they are still collecting and holding rent from the tenant. The new letting agent is taking legal responsibility for this letting, therefore they are legally obliged to provide all necessary details for this handover to take place, not to use GDPR as an excuse to be as obstructive as possible. A truly disgusting and shambolic company. If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid at all costs.... Read more

Minus any stars. 4 months of stringing my daughter along and still no keys to flat. Over £200 fee to do nothing with the exception of causing her so much stress and upset it put her in hospital. This company should be ashamed of themselves for treating anybody in the way they have treated my daughter, looks like she will remain homeless for Christmas too. Do not even consider asking me to delete this review, until she has a refund for the upset you have caused AND the keys to the flat. You are a disgrace. edit - After reading honest reviews of their appauling lack of service, their reply to this is to say they are being 'bullied' and leave my daughter and granddaughter homeless for Christmas. Its a shame that you cant leave a negative score on this site. this has to be the single worst letting agency in existence. My step daughter has been attempting to secure a property that they manage for 4 months now. The number of hoops that have had to be jumped through are beyond belief, only to be held up by either a lack of will to provide a contract, or a totally astounding level of incompetence. After many promises of a handover date, each one is met with a feeble excuse as to why this date can not be met. Of course they have been over £200 in fees for this none service. The latest excuse is the flat has damp. We are now into our THIRD week of waiting for this to be resolved before they hand over the keys. This is causing a huge amount of stress to my step daughter who is trying to find a home for her and her almost 2 year old daughter after finding themselves in a homeless situation. If this company is so unwilling to resolve problems BEFORE they start making money from a contract, how remarkabley bad and incompetent are they going to be when their tenants are trapped into a contract. I would strongly advise that no-one who reads this review EVER deals with this company. They are so incredibly unprofessional, and you will likely lose a considerable amount of money in the process. I am writing this review because I am appalled by the treatment of a very good friend of mine. This company has systematically let her down at every given opportunity and I feel helpless that I cannot do more for her. Warnfield Hewitt are aware that she is currently living in a refuge with her soon to be two year old daughter, after leaving an abusive marriage in July of this year after. She viewed the property in early August and applied for it. Her problems started due to references, which proved problematic and given her financial situation, she was required to provide a guarantor. I helped her financially by providing the guarantor fee. Due to the longevity of the said process she lost her job and is unable to claim universal credit, since she does not have a permanent address within the council’s location. Therefore she is living off a minimal income. Throughout this process there appears to be communication barrier, on the company’s part, since my friend seemed to be the only one communicating with them and they never seemed to ring her with updates. Eventually the application process was successfully completed and three months after first viewing the property, my friend was looking forward to moving into her new home. My friend then received the devastating new the property she had applied for had an issue with damp and she would have to wait till this was resolved. This damp problem was only mentioned, when she was about to move into the property and was not picked up on three months prior. This has caused my friend to be ill with stress and anxiety and she is now facing spending Christmas alone and homeless, as she feels it is only fair her ex-partner has her daughter during the holiday period; allowing her daughter to experience Christmas with more stability. Warnfield Hewitt has caused my friend nothing but stress and have made her wait long periods of time, and she continues to wait to be allowed to move into her new flat. This is probably the worst property estate agency that I ever come in to contact with, this place does nothing to get people from the place they are to the place that they want to go. My girlfriend has been homeless now for nearly five months, she applied for the flat 4 months ago and still waiting for the check in date. It would be better if she build her own house by that time, at least she would be able to have a roof under her head. This company is that bad it has made my girlfriend stress out and had a panic attack and end up in hospital, which is the worst feeling in the world knowing that you still have nowhere to live. Don't even know what they are doing in the office that they have in Warrington, if any one reads this and I thinking of finding a property with this company DON'T!!!... Read more

My health has really suffered due to the delays. I spent most of the night in hospital after a panic attack brought on by news that I'd have to wait longer for a check in date because I won't be able to provide for my little girl properly for her second birthday due to not having our own home, where family can all come and visit her. As a parent its the worst feeling. How do I explain to a two year old no balloons etc? What do I tell her in the future? Its forcing me to make a choice between a good birthday and me not being part of it as she would have to go with her father as at least she would get the kind of birthday two year olds should get. The same for Christmas also. Imagine making that choice. That is what you are forcing me to do. I took my first review down after being promised on the 18th we could have the flat. Your HR department won't pressure me again until this matter is resolved and I am actually in the building.... Read more

I've never been so disappointed in my life. Months I've been trying to secure a flat and it has been one excuse after another. I have told them I'm pulling out of the whole thing, but since then I've been unable to reach them by phone. I feel like I've been conned and that I was never going to get it in the first place. This company manage a property at 42 Sand Street Stalybridge SK15 1UJ, the tenant they rented it to smashed all the downstairs windows back in November 2016, the house has been boarded up ever since. They have made no attempt to repair the damage or secure the property and the tenant has since forced entry to the premises and is still squatting there. I'm sure the property owner will be suitably annoyed when he is informed.... Read more
