Do not use for houseshares if you value your belongings. Apparently Northwood find it acceptable to allow other housemates to smoke cannabis and steal others belongings/food. Countless reports made by someone I know and there only response is an email to all residents asking them to please not smoke and be respectful. Months later, theft still happening, house is ruined by smell of weed to the point it makes you feel sick. A shame because initially house was beautiful.

I arranged a property viewing with them, arrived before the scheduled time, and no one was there. To make matters worse, they tried to claim that I was late, even though I was early. This company is completely unprofessional and disorganized. I will never use their services again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Total waste of time.

I was in a real pickle with my previous letting agent who just wasn't providing a reasonable service managing my house of multiple occupation(HMO). I had been with various letting agents previously so was looking for someone reliable and trustworthy to take over the management of the property. I contacted Sadia at Northwood and arranged to meet at the property. I was very impressed with Sadia and opted for a full management service. Some people say that all high street letting agents are the same but I can assure you they are not. Sadia and her professional team did a very impressive job in taking on my business. The transfer of business was a very difficult and long winded affair but Northwoods professional and pragmatic approach was absolutely brilliant. I am extremely happy with the management of my HMO property now and I am truly thankful to Sadia, Lauren, Beth, Layla and Mia for their excellent work in getting my property properly managed. I can't recommend Northwood Warrington enough for their excellent, professional and friendly service. Thank you to all of the Northwood Warrington Team.

TIME WASTERS !! We booked viewing of one of their properties. Everything was confirmed by email. We came especially from London to see this property and at place we noticed the sign "let agreed". Agent didn't came, they didn't pick up the phones as well. We went to the local office based in the same city, which was closed even if it was during their working hours. At the address of viewing, 3 other families were waiting as well. I understand things happen, but they should inform people before they come to viewing. No any information about cancelled viewing or anything..

Be very wary of this company. We began the purchase of one of their properties where the previous sale had fallen through. We were told this was due to mortgage issues. We then had a surveyors report which highlighted a multitude of problems, including structural issues and damp. We now believe the previous sale also fell through because of this but these estate agents failed to make us aware and in turn we have not only lost out on money but also months worth of time. We have asked several times for confirmation if the previous sale fell through because of this reason but we are yet to have a response. Unfortunately, they are only interested in a sale even if it means selling first time buyers a rotting house.

I lived in a rental with Northwood Warrington for nearly a year and the estate agents as a whole were great. Very responsive to requests and always got stuff done. Unfortunately, due to the house prices in Warrington, I found accommodation outside of the area so I could not continue to rent with Northwood Warrington anymore. As a first time UK renter, especially while being abroad, I was faced with many difficulties trying to secure a rental apartment in Warrington. I contacted dozens of letting agencies and none were as polite, professional and helpful as the staff at Northwood. They were kind enough to let me rent the place without an on ground physical viewing, which can prove to be a pain in the neck, if you dont have anybody to come down to check out the apartment. They responded to every query I had at the earliest and tried to accomodate me as much as possible. My moving was made a lot easier and peaceful by the help of this agency. One of the agents who I was dealing with, Ms Jodie Wane, went out of her way to purchase groceries and other small household items to facilitate me during my 10 day quarantine period, right after I landed. All in all, I have had a wonderful experience with this agency and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I rented from Northwood. At the start of the tenancy they were great. Amanda being the person I dealt with and she was very friendly and professional. The issues which were there before the tenancy had begun were supposed to be corrected before I moved in. These were not fixed. The house was falling apart. No insulation in the walls,windows not secured, no heating inthw extention which lead to mould in the winter. During the cold weather the house wouldn't heat above 4 degrees and Northwood didn't care to get it sorted quickly. Heating was finally installed but only after the extreme cold weather. Leaks flooding in near electrics and not treated as an emergency. Un even floors and on the top floor the ceiling lifted with the wind. Holes in the wall before the start of the tenancy which I was ordered to cover up before handing the keys back. Now that the tenancy has ended and keys are handed back and the property in better condition than it was given in , Northwood are taking £100 from my deposit. They say there is a strong smell of urine on the stairs which is an absolute lie and the holes they ordered me to cover that were not mine they are charging me £40 to fix these. This tenancy has been an absolute nightmare for me. Once the landlord decided he was selling as he didn't realise there was as much wrong with the house as there was Northwood staff quickly became aggressive in their tone . They made everything difficult and now with my deposit they are deducting money for the above. If you want some advice, I would stay as far away from Northwood as you can. The only way you will have no issues is if you are 1 selling a house with them or if as a tenant you don't report repairs and make them have to do more work that they want to do and accept that your house isn't up to standard. Other than that stay well clear. That's my advice. Worst experience of my lifee

She made sure she chased both solicitors all the time and always kept us informed even better than our solicitor. At some point it felt like nothing was moving forward but she kept chasing and made the process easier for us. Terrible company. Had over £20,000 off me in rent without default then greedily took my deposit for things that had been made up. I had a rat problem too, coming from next door and was told many, many times it had nothing to do with them, despite the previous tennants warning me. So Northwood allowed me and my 83 year old mother who has since died at that property without any warning of vermin. My day will come in court!!!

Extremely happy with Northwood Warrington.
Jodie has been extremely helpful from start to finish. Within 2 weeks of viewing the property we had the keys. Really professional and approachable staff, the little moving in gift was a really lovely extra with all the little things in you forget about when you move into a new place! Thorough inventory conducted by Northwood and a few extra things I noticed once I had been in the property a few days were added to this when I emailed pictures over.

I bought a house which was marketed by Northwood and can highly recommend them. Very friendly, professional and helpful throughout the whole process. My conveyancer solicitor was a nightmare and wouldn't respond to my enquiries for weeks. It got to a point that I was thinking about dropping out as I got tired having to follow up with them every step of the way. It was only thanks to Catherine's efforts who called them countless of times to get things moving again that this purchase was actually completed. The whole process took almost five months (even though it was no chain!) so I'm very grateful to Catherine for having spent so much time and energy to deal with my solicitor. The whole team has been fantastic so couldn't recommend them enough.

I have had properties with Northwood Warrington acting as agents for about 8 years and have found them very easy and professional to deal with. I know if ever there is a problem I'll get a call and an email and they are quick to engage contractors and put things right. Property inspections are comprehensive and documented well. Having used other letting agents in the past, I would say Northwood may not be the cheapest but I've certainly had the least aggravation by a mile.

Terrible letting agency, avoid at all costs!
Enquired about dual occupancy in a double en-suite bedroom within a 5 bedroom detached house-share. This was forwarded to management for approval, and was accepted by Catherine Connor. I offered more money for dual occupancy before signing the contract to cover increased bills which they declined. Shortly after moving into the property, and after enquiring about a maintenance issue, Northwood forwarded our email onto the landlord who then discovered that 2 people were sharing 1 room. Northwood had not even bothered to ask the landlord if he would be fine with this (their view is that 2 people sharing 1 room is not against the law, but that is not the point, they should be seeking approval from the person that owns the house before presuming that the landlord would be fine with this, especially when the rent includes all bills).
After being informed about this, again, we offered more money to cover bills which was again declined and we were told that the reason was because the landlord’s insurance did not cover more than 5 people in the house.
Because of this, Northwood tried to get us to leave the property and offered us our £350 admin fee back. We informed them that we would consider this, providing we could find a suitable property which was fully furnished, within budget and inclusive of bills. Sadia (the director) would not and will not accept any liability on behalf of Northwood or any of her staff for any wrongdoing on their part, and was pushing us to leave the property. When she did, I explained that we are in a legally binding contract, approved by them, and that we would not be going anywhere.
Sadia and Catherine claimed to try and “help” us find properties, but whenever any links were sent, they were for unfurnished properties and none of them ever fit our criteria (waste of time).
Northwood then informed us by text that our current landlord had recently purchased a house down the road, and arranged a date and time for us to view the property with the landlord. After viewing the property, we informed them that it would be suitable and that we would be happy to move there. We were told that the house would be ready by December 2018 and that we would still receive our £350 admin fee back.
Northwood gave us a deadline of 30th November to inform them if we were moving or not – we informed them and confirmed that we would be moving on 27th October, 2 days after viewing the property.
However, December came and went and the property still wasn’t ready. We enquired at the end of December and were told 4-6 weeks and then in January we discovered that Northwood had put a “to let sign” up outside the house. After going on their website to view the property, we discovered that they had listed the entire property to be rented instead of a house share, and this is how we found out – extremely unprofessional.
So from October 2018 – January 2019 we have been extremely unsettled, not knowing if we are coming or going and Northwood have not helped one bit.
The landlord came to the property to speak to us in person, and agreed that we could stay if we paid a bit extra to cover bills – if this was communicated properly back in October, then none of this stress would have been caused in the first place.
Northwood have now decided that we are not even allowed our admin fee to be returned, despite them arranging for us to view the property with the landlord, and us agreeing that we would move into that property before the deadline that was set. All communication regarding this property had gone through Northwood.
