Della has been very helpful from the minute I first enquired about the property and always replies promptly and efficiently to any queries or requests.

Merry Halls was an excellent accomodation, and I have no complaints. I had impeccable communication with Della, who was always very prompt with their responses. In general, the shared kitchen was clean, Sheila the building manager cleaned the common areas and the rest was done by us. Although my room was the smallest one there, I was very pleased with everything. If you’re studying at Abertay, I definitely recommend Merry Halls as its a 5 minute walk from the University.

I rented with Westport for almost a year and found them to be purposely difficult. Many promises about the properties improvement before our lease was not met. Members of staff entered the flat with no prior warning or legitimate reason to do so on a regular basis. I would not recommend students letting with Westport as they did not see your safety or flats maintenance as a concern.

We have been renting from Westport Property Ltd for the last 18 months and they have been fantastic in every way. Any issues or questions are always promptly answered and on the rare occasion a repair was needed within the house it was always dealt with promptly and professionally by the Westport team. I would happily say after 6 years of renting in Dundee, they are by far the best letting agency I have come across!

From viewing the flat to getting minor issues sorted Westport Properties are very professional and have been so easy to deal with and always been so prompt getting back to me and getting any issue Ive had resolved quickly. I had a great time living in one of Westports flats! Being an international student I was a bit nervous about the moving process, but the folks at Westport were always really responsive whenever I had a querie. The flat was really well taken care of and newly renovated, which was an absolute joy compared to some of the other flats I`ve seen around Dundee. I would definitely rent one of their flats again.

I have rented a flat with westport for over 2 years now. The staff, especially Shona and Jane are very attentive and respond to any queries within a matter of hours. The flat itself was in a good state of repair and the team have always fixed any issues immediately. I would highly recommend Westport Property Ltd if you are looking to rent out your commercial premises. Fergus was very pro-active and managed to secure tenants with no hassle. Adam then took over the on-going management of the property, taking away the stress and hassle for me and allow me to carry on with my own life. I can't thank them enough for their work so far.

I rented with Westport as a Student for 3 and a half years in two different properties. As a student renter we can often be taken advantage of but with Westport they were simply amazing. Anything that needed fixed/replaced was done quickly and with no accusatory statements. Shona was great to have as a property manager and I never had any hassle. The flats rented were always up to a high standard with good appliances. I cannot recommend them enough to any student looking to rent in Dundee. I was really sad to have to leave one of their properties when I moved, because they, especially Shona, were a pleasure to have as a landlord. Thank you for putting up with me for so long. <3

Always fully contactable, any questions/ queries dealt with swiftly and effectively. Adam in particular has provided an excellent service and we couldn't recommend him, along with his team, enough. In addition the receptionist in our building, who is an employee of Westport, is an asset to the company. Very high level of service all round.

I find some of the rebuttals from Westport Property quite comical. They must be taking some advice from the Trump administration where they think that doubling down on their denials makes them appear more credible. I for one am using a pseudonym - for obvious reasons - and so can only assume that the same applies to others.
Ultimately I had a mixed bag of service when it came to renting residential property through the agency. Some of the staff were helpful, others not so much. I didn't feel particularly secure in the property as it wasn't uncommon for the maintenance team (and whoever else for that matter) to enter without prior warning. This was an ongoing issue, one that I can see has been highlighted by someone else - it is also illegal. We also had a problem with damp that wasn't addressed properly throughout our tenure, despite guarantees it would be. The real issues came when we were vacating, with additional charges that weren't justified and an extremely poor level of service. There was no compromise, despite the best efforts of some members of staff. My understanding is that it was largely down to the stubborn nature of the director.
Unfortunately there is a lack of top quality leasing/estate agents in Dundee and whilst Westport might not be the worst, they certainly aren't the best. I don't intend to take up any issues with them directly because I had already tried that and got nowhere. The agency had the opportunity to address my concerns at the time and chose not to. As the saying goes, doing so now would be too little too late.

WORST LETTING AGENT I HAVE EVER USED
Please ignore the fake reviews below - clearly designed to try to make this agent look reputable, they're anything but. No doubt I will get reply saying "we have no record of you" like they have done on some of the other negative comments. For the record, I can assure you I have been a Westport tenant and it wasn't pleasant. No procedure was followed, they were unorganised and threatening. Made far worse by just how obnoxious the male member of staff is in the office - staffing may have changed since I was a tenant (hopefully). I have to say that this is not reflective of the female staff members I dealt with at the time who were polite and responsive.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - I have previously rented with Westport and the experience was horrendous. There was consistently property management men walking into the flat with no notice given by the agency. One of the men even left a set of keys to other properties in our block on the sofa after he left... The staff are rude and inefficient, in particular the gentleman that works in the office, I haven't come across someone as obnoxious as him in a long time. There were no perks or benefits to renting with them so if you would like to avoid the hassle, choose someone else.
