John Woodcock and Son is one of the very few remaining independent Estate agencies in existence. This unique agency is long established, and over time, it has amassed highly detailed knowledge of all the property types in the region of Ipswich and beyond. Because of this, the two partners, John and Richard, are particularly good at finding excellent matches between the parties, their specific requirements, and the type of property and in the appropriate price range. They also are often aware of properties that are quite possibly coming onto the market informally though conversations with their considerable number of past clients who, having had excellent experiences with past dealings, still keep in touch with them. Finally, should unforeseen factors arise, both John and Richard are particularly adept at finding solutions which in my particular case, proved to be a more suitable resolution than even I had envisioned. To summarise, John and Richard offer the best property marketing equivalent to the finest of bespoke tailoring in matters concerning finding the choices available and be a perfect fit for all parties.... My wife and I viewed a property several months ago, which was lovely but in all honesty overpriced. We put in a more reasonable offer below the asking price, to which the agent seemed to imply it was not a sensible offer at all - despite us being first time buyers, no chain, etc. Another offer at asking price was received and seller opted for that - fair enough. A few months later the agent rang asking to see what our situation was as the other offer had fallen through - by which point we had found somewhere else with an agent who made us feel respected and valued as opposed to judged for seeing that the asking price was above market levels. I appreciate the agent will push for whatever price they can get, however their behaviour here arguably cost them our business.... Read more
