We purchased our first home with Abbots and it went very smoothly. Big thank you to Chelsa as she was proffesional and always kept in contact with us throughout the move. Although Abbotts has their own mortgage brokers, they weren't pushy in us using their brokers and happily accepted ours without any issue. We got a nice welcome pack when we picked up the keys which was a nice surprise. I would certainly reccomend using them again.

I contacted Abbots last year to inquire about their services though chose not to pursue them. Since then I have been repeatedly contacted month-to-month asking if I am interested in selling with them, or arranging a mortgage. Each time I have informed them that I am no longer selling my property and requested that they cease contacting me. The calls have continued ceaselessly.

Selling my house with another agency. Today get a call from Abbotts, asking me "how it's going." I enquire if I'm with them, and they admit that they know that I am not.
They give the name of the agency I am with. I then ask them not to call again. The salesman ignores this and is still talking as I end the call. Yuk.

I am writing to confirm the withdrawal of our offer for the purchase of the above premises.
From the outset your service has been nothing short of appalling, firstly you neglected to mention in any of your sale advertisements that this property is a 'listed building', you also didn’t mention that this premises is in a conservation area, the first we knew of these very important details was when our own solicitor informed us some weeks into negotiations!
Your customer service is nonexistent, even today (like on so many previous occasions - for example last Thursday - no return call) (today is Tuesday) you haven’t returned my call.
You have left me no alternative other than to seek a purchase elsewhere with a reputable agent.
In order that others may be deterred, and not subjected to such a horrendous experience - which has resulted in a significant cost to me, I am sending a copy of this email to your head office to advise them how you run your branch!!

I’ve contacted the agents I bought my property from but wasn’t very pleased with the approach and valuation. I contacted Abbotts Ipswich and booked for Damian to visit the property to value and discuss their services and how they could help. Damian is very professional, respectful and trustworthy. Straight away I knew I have the right person to manage my property. He provided me with the list of requirements and regularly kept in touch to see how things are progressing, listened to what our needs and requirements are as landlords and gave suggestions and recommendations on people and products which I found really helpful with the stress of moving houses on top of work + Christmas. Damian had a few people already interested in the property even before we even placed it in the market. Ryan came to show the property to potential tenants and he has been brilliant. Very professional and respectful and regularly kept in touch via email and phone with updates and making our lives easier with reminders (something I needed with our busy schedules!) Abbotts Ipswich has found a tenant for our property days after placing it on RightMove and we are so delighted! I highly recommend Damian & Ryan to all landlords in Suffolk. My trust are definitely with these 2 professional agents as I can feel and I know my property is in the right hands!

Unprofessional, rude, arrogant. Dale was involved with listing my parents property, made false promises and wasted their time. During a meeting he slagged off other estate agents and made rude comments about other people. My mother felt they were being bullied into paying for extra services that she didn't think they were supposed to pay for. Needless to say we withdrew and won't be going back! Horrid experience!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR RENTAL SERVICES. I have tried over 25 times to call through to the lettings department. They are under staffed, they do not answer the phones. If you are lucky enough to get a call back from anyone you get a poor attitude 0% customer service and the manager Damian as about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. No replies to countless emails and answer phone messages. Do yourself a favour and go with another estate agent as you will be paying for a service that you will never recieve.

I did put an offer for a property with Abbotts, I've asked to provide decision in principle which I did and again I was asked to see their mortgage advisor with all the documents if this is correct. My mortgage broker is from a renowned company, I've provided my mortgage advisor phone number email etc. Still sales negotiator wanted me to go with all the documents. I found they are too pushy and they do not believe the paperwork I've provided. They think they are better then other estate agents in Ipswich. If you have to buy or sell via them, I would advise to avoid them.

I relocated to ipswich 6 months ago with my family for a new job and a fresh start and Abbotts helped to make this daunting process a lot easier. Time wasters, as long you want to rent they will be nice and polite. My problems starts end of my tenancy, I've tried to contact agent multiple times, he ignored all my messages, emails, phone calls. I had to find out myself that he has moved to Ipswich branch. All problems I had with the house has been ignored and forgotten. He didn't turn up for appointment, didn't pick up the phone again, I've tried to contact branch, they didn't get back to me. I'm moving out, I wanted to do inventory check and hand over.

Abbotts have been managing the letting of my property for a few years now and mostly things have been run very smoothly. Abbotts approached me a couple of weeks ago regarding two minor issues the tenant had. After I told them that I would like them just to go ahead and sort small jobs without the need to run it by me first, Olivia effeciently organised the two minor repairs without needing to come back to me through every step of the process. Damian is the main reason why I will always remain with Abbotts in Ipswich , as Damian has been a huge support and I rely completely on him for the management of my house. Damian has not only always introduced excellent tenants, but has supported me through resolving a lot of difficult situations with previous tenants, prior to his management. Damian always represents and conveys my interests and has helped with negotiations in various situations. He thinks outside of the box and has always suggests constructive options. Even when there has been difficult situations, once involved Damian has a special skill of resolving problems. Damian is also a good listener, is very reassuring and accountable. He keeps to his word and I have always felt comfortable talking to him about whatever difficulties I may have. Absolutely shocking, I have never ever in my life been made to feel the way I did. The estate agent Dale was so rude, he was offensive and unhelpful. His attitude was one of the worst I've ever experienced, he was not interested in my property, undervalued it by at least 10,000 and made derogatory comments about the previous occupants. He was both patronising and obnoxious and incredibly rude even making comments about my personal situation.

Unprofessional and rude! Had a viewing with the woman called Jessica who first of all totally forgot about our scheduled appointment! So after calling many times managed to rescheduled for later in the day. This is after we has driven 20 miles to come and view the property. When we did arrive for the viewing with. We were told to wait outside while the property was being viewed by someone else, so with her running late was running, that meant we were running late into our own plans too! There was no apology or anything, very unprofessional in my opinion.
Apon finally viewing this house and asking questions about the property - she didn’t have a clue and didn’t know anything about the house! Her favourite line and only answer was ‘Errmmm I don’t know’.This is not what is expected when you are viewing any property.
We really liked the house, but this whole experience put us off completely and we decided not to go any further. Very disappointed! Abbot's might be wise to consider sending her on any future vewings!
