One Thursday morning in December '21 we formally commissioned Saviills to sell our house; that afternoon we received a request for two viewings; by the following Thursday we had had 21 viewings and by the next Tuesday seven good offers and had accepted one. We were amazed and delighted by the efficiency and consideration of Savills' staff. We happily and confiidently surrendered the whole process to them, saving ourselves much effort and anxiety. Savills are not the cheapest on the block but there is a saying that 'you get what you pay for' and this is certainly the case with the service provided by Peter Ogilvie and Katy Stephenson. Whilst Peter's skill and experience mean that he is able to explain things clearly, and carefully steer you through the decision making process, it would be hard to surpass Katy's unstinting commitment when it comes to getting the job done. We were part of a long complicated chain and we firmly believe that it is only through Katy's persistence, tenacity and unwillingness to leave any stone unturned or let things slide, that we were finally able to exchange contracts. Despite a very traumatic legal process and complications with the developer on the day of moving in ( moved in end of November 18 but only legally owned house mid February 19) Sarah Walsh was excellent . She kept me informed throughout the whole process and kept my spirits up when the whole thing looked like it was falling through.
