Potential first time buyers we started looking at houses in our local area via Zoopla. Made an enquiry on Zoopla for Dawson's to call me back to arrange a viewing. Did this several times before giving up and calling Dawson's directly as know one had bothered to call us regarding our enquiries. Once the viewing was completed we had a call on the following Monday to ask how it all went. Issues started when we put didn't proceed to put a offer in on the first home we saw and was met with a barrage of questions about our budget and if we seriously were looking to buy. This went on for a few days. a week or so later on a different property which just so happened to be advertised by Dawson's we were met with the same questions and being made to feel as though we were time wasters for not putting in offers on every property. Finally we did manage to find a house worth putting in an offer and I was met with a very bad attitude and the staff member even mentioned that there's no point in putting my offer to the vendors as they wont accept it.
If I ever need to buy a house or even sell I personally wouldn't think about using Dawson's from the experiences we have had.
So first time buyers put off by bad attitude (which I found out that this member of staff was infract the branch manager) and very defensive saying they have sold properties valued more than this recently so don't bother unless we offer near asking.
Went into gorseinon branch this week ,i was greeted by a new manager called sharon who was very happy polite and professional and couldnt do enough to help me ,i would advise anyone buying or selling a house to give sharon a call first ,as i have bought properties around the gorseinon area and rented them out .
We went with Dawsons (the highest fee) as we felt they had that local knowledge and expertise. They valued our house too high- evident when we had over 20 viewings and no sniff of any reasonable offer. The reasons for no offers were bizarre (e.g. no outright 'its too high' so felt like our house wasn't being marketed to the right audience). We made the decision to reduce our price and that seemed to work but we still had a few weeks to get a half-decent offer which we could accept (£25K lower than the original valuation given). Once the offer was in and accepted, the post-sales team were good but it took us a lot of time and stress to get to that point.
Easy To Purchase online, really nice site layout easy to find everything.
Also Happy & Friendly Customer Service definitely a 10/10
The communication we have received from Dawson's has been outstanding, they contacted us to arrange every viewing and again following the viewing with feedback. They have supported us in obtaining a good mortgage deal through the Mortgage Advice Bureau who are based in their offices and they recommendation for a conveyancer offers excellent value for money.
Friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff, offer clear advice on properties that were for sale. Overall excellent service
I rented a flat from them during a year.
They've been helpful since the day that I visit the house until I've got the bond back.
They've always been happy to rearrange visits as I work night shifts to avoid any discomfort.
I totally recommend to visit them if your looking for a new house.
Used Dawson's Swansea to sell my parent's home after they passed away. Dawson's understood this was difficult for us to do and was very patient throughout the process. They completed all the viewings and communicated feedback promptly. Had one issue where they left the blinds wide open at the property but when discussed were very apologetic for their mistake.
I would not recommend anyone to deal with this estate agents . Very poor service and unprofessional team .
Absolute pleasure to deal with until they've taken your money and you're stuck in a contract. Never informed us the flat was for sale, never informed us the flat had a history of mould. Chased them up for mould issues for months only for them to wait for me to move out and swoop in for my deposit. My partner suffered immensely with his asthma. They've also claimed there was no history of mould despite paint literally peeling off the walls to reveal mould underneath. The paint job was clearly a quick fix because the brush strokes didn't reach the top. Absolute cowboys who cover up issues that are detrimental to health rather than admitting there is an issue and sorting it out. Do not trust them
