I recently sold a property with Dawsons, Gorseinon Branch. Sarah came to value my house, a lovely lady, very professional and a Welsh speaker. Sarah worked with me, and is very knowledgeable and friendly. There is normally someone at the end of the phone if you have any doubts or concerns, they do call back if you leave a message. I have also dealt with Owen who is very kind and helpful and all the staff give you time and that personal touch.
The For Sale board was up within a week, Dawsons widely advertised the property, they advised me of every viewing before they took place and an offer was received within 10 days of the property being launched on their website. This has been a very smooth sale and I can’t thank them enough.
I used Dawsons recommended solicitors and I have never known solicitors move at such a fast pace.
So, if you are you serious about selling your property, I can and do recommend

Went into the branch not knowing what property i was after with my partner for a first time purchase for our family.
Sarah sat there and went through properties with us that they had available even ones that have not even been advised yet.
Went to view the property a couple days later when it was available to and was greated by Owen who seemed to have all key details and there was not a question on the property he was not able to answer there and then and even ones he was not certain of he found out and notified me! All staff in the office are professional and super helpful even their in branch mortage advisor David is super helpful explained the whole process which made the big daunting thought of getting a mortgage a breeze, everyone was always there to answer the phone or email whenever i had a silly question or would want an update and every time i entered the office i was always greated with a smile.
Would highly recommend using this bunch of lovely people to buy your home through as they help every step of the way!

The staff we dealt with were very friendly but felt the people who came to view our house hadn't really been screened / weren't realistic options. We also felt we were misled into making a deal to accept a lower offer quickly. When I queried this, communication went very quiet. They did manage to sell our home and only about 3% off what we were looking for/other agents had advised.
Not a terrible service, but my feedback is pretty similar to what others have told me about them - they will sell the house quickly but you may not always be given the full picture.
Response to the below:
My issue is that I was not given all the necessary information when making a decision. We felt we were given incorrect information and so could not make an informed decision. I raised this at the time and no action was taken or an apology given.
We were also given the advice that because multiple people had viewed our property and we had only one offer, we were unlikely to get better. I ignored this advice because the viewers were clearly not vetted for our property, but it illustrates the point that the advice was not in our best interest.
Also, on the post sales care, the response I received was the note that I left for the buyers of our home. It in no way assisted us.

To give one bit of constructive feedback, I felt at times that email responses were to brief - often skipping over questions I had asked. As a relatively inexperienced buyer, I would have appreciated a little more time taken to answer my questions in full, leaning toward informative vs. ruthlessly efficient. I guess this is due to the volume of enquiries - but from a customer perspective, it certainly felt that way at times.
Aside from that, no complaints, as I feel the buyer & seller got the result we wanted, facilitated well by Dawsons. :)

Potential first time buyers we started looking at houses in our local area via Zoopla. Made an enquiry on Zoopla for Dawson's to call me back to arrange a viewing. Did this several times before giving up and calling Dawson's directly as know one had bothered to call us regarding our enquiries. Once the viewing was completed we had a call on the following Monday to ask how it all went. Issues started when we put didn't proceed to put a offer in on the first home we saw and was met with a barrage of questions about our budget and if we seriously were looking to buy. This went on for a few days. a week or so later on a different property which just so happened to be advertised by Dawson's we were met with the same questions and being made to feel as though we were time wasters for not putting in offers on every property. Finally we did manage to find a house worth putting in an offer and I was met with a very bad attitude and the staff member even mentioned that there's no point in putting my offer to the vendors as they wont accept it.
If I ever need to buy a house or even sell I personally wouldn't think about using Dawson's from the experiences we have had.
So first time buyers put off by bad attitude (which I found out that this member of staff was infract the branch manager) and very defensive saying they have sold properties valued more than this recently so don't bother unless we offer near asking.

If you want your estate agent to never show up to show potential buyers around and instead ask you to do it everytime these are for you. I feel like I gave them £1500 to put my property on Zoopla and do nothing else. At one point I was even accused of being in cahoots with a potential buyer. Some of the worst customer service ever. I'll be using a discount company like purplebricks next time seeing as I had to do all the work.
