Very poor experience. Lack of communication, not returning calls, the estate agent handling our purchase had to update us as they didn’t call back. Within 10 days of marketing we were advised to drop the price. Total reliance on Rightmove- no additional marketing. Business model appears to be to capture the market, lock you in for three months and then get the next property onboard. A frustrating experience!... Read more

We sold through Bernard’s Waterlooville in December 2020 and they were such an attentive, efficient and supportive team, me and my husband were delighted to hear that a lot of the same people had moved to the Fareham branch so we could deal with them all over again with our new house move this year as I felt we built such a good rapport and have a good working relationship with them from the previous time. We started with contacting Chris again as he was just brilliant last time and oversaw our house sale last time. He swiftly got the process started and we had viewings galore soon booked. And not long after, potential buyers produced some offers.. The process was not without a bit of unluck though as we lost houses that we wanted due to troublesome sellers but whenever we lost our own buyer if the chain fell apart, Bernard’s were super quick to sort it out and get us another buyer. Chris really kindly offered to get our mortgage underway with Bernard’s too to speed up the process, waivering the brokerage fee for us (perhaps as a goodwill gesture as we used the company before) which was brilliant and so good of him. Vicky got our mortgage all sorted and passed for us all in a morning which was again just first class service. Once our chain was more established, the sale was dealt with by Toby. Right from the get go, Toby was really efficient, attentive to keeping us updated, professional and friendly and determined to get this sale through for us as quickly as possible. We had issues with our solicitors which Toby persevered to press them for timely responses right until the end. He was brilliant at contacting the entire chain to ensure contact was retained and all moving parts of the chain were resolved as quickly as possible. Although the sale of our house and subsequent purchase was not without its ups and downs, Bernard’s facilitated as smooth a process as possible for us with a first class service to match as always. The guys (and Vicky) are a credit to the company. And although we have previously recommended them to both my parents and my sister (who then used them), we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else looking to purchase a house if you want an exceptional service. We would only ever contact them alone if we ever needed to move house again (hopefully only if needed now to downsize when we retire!!!!).... Read more

We switched to Bernard's after a failed attempt to sell and everything went well from that point on. We had plenty of viewings at times that suited us and sold quickly. Chris worked hard for us and communication was just right. Would 100% recommend!... Read more
