I have been letting a property from Bernard’s Southsea for 18 months. The whole team have been fantastic and service excellent. Any issues sorted quickly and efficiently. Moving out of the area and buying but if I wasn’t I’d be looking to Bernard’s again. Thank you for everything. X

Very unprofessional, inconsiderate and disrespectful agents. I’ve rented with Bernard’s for 6 months, and I can hardly recall anything they’ve done well. Flat condition wasn’t great upon moving in, yet they claim new carpets will be ordered from my deposit upon moving out, without providing any proof or receipts.
I’ve specifically found Gemma and Lauren to be very unpleasant in their approach. I simply just couldn’t trust them to have my interest at heart.
My advise would be to walk to Palmerston road, and rent from any other letting agent.

I have to say what a great lettings team, they helped my son find a property which was totally right for him, close to Uni and fully shelf contained. When a maintenace issue was raised it was dealt with quickly and fully resolved by the next day. Brilliant team all round.

I have had dealings with the Southsea lettings and Portsmouth sales. Both have been exceptional I am fully updated with the processes of when I rented with Southsea and then when I brought my house with Portsmouth. All services are offered in house and they recommended a local solicitor who help progress the purchase of my first home quickly and efficiently. I have recommended to friends who would all agree.

I used Bernards southsea to purchase my first house and then the lettings team to rent it out. The whole team was amazing and made the whole process as simple as possible for me. They assisted to every need i had and where very professional! Would recommend to everyone!

I couldnt be more happier with the service I receive as a landlord from the staff at Bernards Southsea. I have always felt the staff have been responsive and dealt with any issues promptly and at the same time offered excellent advice. Also our tenants are very happy with the service from Bernards. Happy Tenants mean stress free Landlords. I highly recommend their services. Well done to all the team, keep up the hard work!

Outstanding service from both Southsea & North End offices.
I have bought through these guys & used them to let properties & have only ever had a first class & thorough service.
In addition to this I have also sold two properties through them & they did a great job from start to finish, including managing the entire chain, solicitors & individuals through to completion.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They charge a renewal fee of amazing proportions and then are incapable of sending us a contract to sign, utterly useless. 4 weeks of chasing up and giving them chances and still nothing, if I could give no stars I would.
Additionally I would be happy to change this review as soon as they send a contract but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Just wanted to say wow, what a service. I had an issue with my property and the miantenace team were brilliant got it resolved within 24 hours. The tradesmen were good, polite, clean and tidy I was really impressed.

Bad experience, awful for students.
Disorganised staff constantly phoning us for no reason. Very difficult to get help when something goes wrong in the flat/house.
Took almost 50 days to get our deposits back with unnecessary deductions for 'cleaning charges', not the 10 days they said it would.
This estate agents took over our property when our original landlord sold the house so we had no choice in the matter.
Definitely a no go for students for sure.
