Purchased a house through Howlands. Very pleased with the service from start to finish; professional, good communication throughout and happy to answer all my queries. Their local knowledge is invaluable.
Holly and her team at Chancellors have made a the whole experience of selling a pleasure! So happy that we chose Chancellors after our friends recommended them to us. They do "exactly what the promise on the tin"!
Do not use this estate agents, my company leased a property through Chancellors and the landlady unlawfully held our deposit and I had to take her to court to get our money back. This action took several months and was at great expense. Chancellors disclosed confidential emails to the landlady without my permission. I'm now having to report Chancellors to ICO. In my opinion you should seek a more ethical estate agents, please avoid Chancellors to avoid potential upset and distress.
Outstanding service. Shona Rogers was particularly helpful and viewing properties became less stressful. Was always happy to help and always phoned when properties come on the market. Calls always returned in good time. I would Highly recommend Romans Camberley.
Very terrible and disappointing service.
Sarah was agent I had agreed to meet and spoke with on the phone. I found her attitude quite snobbish and unnecessarily rude.
I had two text messages confirming my appointment. When I arrived at the property, I waited a few minutes before calling the agency. When I spoke to Sarah, she told me she had waited at the property 15 mins before the agreed time, but then she decided to leave. I travelled from the Midlands to view a selection of properties, and this unneeded error on a her part really wasn't required. She never once apologised, her tone of voice very much indicated she couldn't have cared less.
The agency did NOT contact me to inform me the viewing was cancelled. They also do NOT follow the governments guidelines regarding the reasonable charges to a tenant. This is how they can afford not to care about missing the appointments.
Shambles as a letting/ property management company. We moved in November to a fully managed property. We had no hot water for 2-3 weeks after moving in after botched repairs and useless contractors. Then waited in for handymen to come and compete work who turn up and advise they're there to quote and not actually do the job (when we relayed everything that required repair).
On 21st December our oven broke and we advised them early morning of the 22nd, we heard nothing from waterfords until we chased on the 27th and 29th Dec and then after promised phone backs from contractors and being advised that the job was actually logged on the 23rd (but no communication from them) we gave up and got our own contractor and paid for the repairs ourself. The property management team have since advised that we will have to foot the bill because we haven't used their approved (incompetent) contractors and have been completely unsympathetic.
If you're letting from them- I'd be very wary- their fees are at least double other agents and we've encountered some of the most appalling 'service' - I myself work in the service industry and understand things do go wrong but to not rectify or attempt to resolve issues in a timely manner isn't acceptable.
If you are thinking to let your property through them think again, I'm sure if we contacted our landlords they'd have no idea at the misery we've been put through since moving in.
