Rating a single star is generous. I am appalled at the incompetence, lack of communication and sheer disregard demonstrated at BV. I have known David Vaughan who started the company for more than a decade, sold several properties with the help of him and his team so thought it would be wise to keep using them. I was sadly mistaken as BV is certainly not the client focussed award winning agency it once was now that David Vaughan has moved on and established Aston Vaughan —- As I write this I am still waiting more than 5 weeks for BV to reply to emails regarding my property seemingly now held hostage. Do not use this agency as it does not value ones business and the sheer disregard for myself and my most valued asset, my home, is disgraceful. I,certainly, after my current ongoing experience would not sell nor have them rental manage anything ever as it’s an utter shambles.

We bought via Brand Vaughan Preston Park and the team were great throughout. From first viewing with Natasha through the offer phase with Kate to the progression and completion with Chloe. A smart and on-the-ball team who helped keep everything moving at pace, and with a sense of humour. Very happy customers - and in our new home!

This proved to be a very protracted sale as a result of issues relating to the freeholder and their solicitor holding up matters and various other factors beyond the control of our estate agents and ourselves. However throughout the process Brand Vaughn remained on top of the situation and eventually the sale was concluded to everyone's satisfaction and relief.

Buying a house is meant to be one of the life's most stressful events, but I can honestly say that my recent purchase through Brand Vaughan Preston Park was the total opposite. Their whole team were a delight, made time to understand my requirements, and found my dream home in just ONE day! Communication was excellent throughout and completion was delivered on schedule. I'm really let down! I'm sharing my story to help prevent others from having to deal with the same problem.
In February, I'll be moving to Brighton for work. We started looking for a property in January because we live in London and getting a property to view is really tough. As soon as we found a flat, we signed the pre-tenancy agreement, paid the holding deposit. The reference process also went well but because the move-in date is January 15, we became concerned when we did not hear back until January 10. The agency contacted us again on January 11th with shocking news.
The lender will sell the home after having a change of mind. Can you believe that this occurred just four days before the move-in date? I'm in complete disbelief and stunned!
The agency informed me that although there is nothing we can do about it, they will return the holding deposit to me. In this situation, what are the renters' rights?
