Agent never showed up to viewing. Drove 60 miles in treacherous, rainy conditions for the viewing, and got soaked through waiting for 30 minutes. Subsequently went to the office, to be greeted by the rude and nonchalant Lee (who apparently is some sort of sales manager). He claimed that there were no viewings in that block today (despite my email from him 2 days ago confirming the same), and was not even remotely apologetic. Have multiple emails confirming appointment times, so find the lack of organization (or perhaps just a reluctance to get wet?) really disappointing. Long story short, would not recommend Chappell & Matthews (I certainly won't be using them), and would suggest one of the many reputable estate agents in Bristol instead (or indeed use Purple Bricks)

We were really struggling to find a place in Bristol and Hollie was absolutely determined to help us!! From the first viewing she was the most helpful, personable and friendly estate agent we'd come across. She proved herself to be incredibly efficient and a true problem solver when we came up against all sorts of problems with our finances (mainly as I hadn't yet started my job.) Recently rented a property through Chappell and Matthews in Chippenham.
Moving in could of been better as we were told it would be cleaned and this never happened and eventually had to clean it ourselves before unpacking. Not ideal. Within a few days we realised that the shower leaked very badly and the oven tripped the fuses for the whole property every time we used it.
Unfortunately this is where Chappell and Matthews don't shine because the time taken to address these issues was far too long. Eventually they were sorted and from then on had no real further issues.
I think the whole process from tenants raising an issue to actually getting a professional round to the property to address the problem needs big improvement.
However, it must be said that later on in the tenancy we had a big problem with an very undesirable neighbour and upon contacting Chappell and Matthews we managed to end our tenancy contract early so we could move on to a more suitable property. They were under no contractual agreement to do this but went the extra mile to arrange a early release from the contract between us and the landlord. Big thanks to Ignas for this.
On the whole we would use Chappell and Matthews again, if the facilities were clean and safe within days rather than weeks I would of give 5 stars.

I have been trying to get in contact with Chappell and Mathews (thornbury office) for weeks. Even drove to the office and it was closed. I have left various emails as we wanted to veiw a property for sale.

It is very strange that it is so difficult to speak to anyone and i feel sorry for the people who are relying on these people to rent/sale their houses.

this has raised red flags for us.
