Last year Tasif Mahmood at Chase Evans helped myself and my partner find a rental property in the Islington area. I found him to be highly professional and knowledgeable without being at all pushy, and he also went above and beyond to arrange parking for us in the building once we had agreed a let. I would highly recommend both Tasif and Chase Evans to somebody else as part of their search.

Completely misunderstanding company. They set me up with a property that was shown to me on video. On the video was great place. When I paid my rent and sorted references I tried to move in. Well there was mould and dump around the whole place. No central heating, oven/cooker not working, fridge all shelfs broken and left like this everywhere. It felt like a cave I was supposed to live in, which costs a fortune. Complete scammers!!! Please avoid at all costs!!!

I had one of worst experience from chase Evans agency. as my letting agency for a period of 18 months.
I received a termination of contract notice from them midway through my outstanding contract. In the middle of negotiation new contract.
I was dismayed as I had always paid one years rent in advance.
When I left, I accidently left my phone charger in the property, they informed me that they would consider charging me for this action.
In my dealings with them I felt bullied, undermind and prejudiced against. Their behaviour was unacceptable. I hope that this review will act as a warning to other potential customers and may even prompt Chase Evans to treat tenants with a modicum of common decency and professionalism.

I had rented flat 311 of baquba building, the owner or the agency didn't bother at all. They only want to keep your hard earned money deposit by hook or by crook. Worst experience ever. Please save yourself. No maintenance, no response, no responsibilities. They put unnecessary charges even after the professional cleaning and you end up with raising dispute. Pathetic agency.

By far, the worst agency I dealt with.
No maintenance of broken beds, mould on wall, leak on internal pipes. When we left, they tried to claim the full deposit on the issues we reported AND made up issues... The definition of fraud ...
Lots of 5 star reviews from accounts with fake names and single review history (Most probably fake) or landlords (of course, they're saving them money at tenant's cost).

The worst agency. They groom you at the start with nice and good comms and smiley face. Once you're in, no repairs, very limited responses and no help whatsoever. After leaving, they withheld the deposit for 6 months and tried to claim all of it for some unrealistic and sometimes fake reasons. The definition of fraud.
Don't even get close. You will be ripped off at the end of your tenancy.

I’ve had such a terrible experience with Chase Evans: particularly with the Manager and Assistant Manager. They lack the professionalism of dealing with clients and are incredibly unresponsive to their emails. Prior to the start of the tenancy, the staff are usually responsive because they are trying to find a tenant but after that they become incredibly unresponsive. I moved into my new flat and was unable to figure heating, cooking appliances etc and was left to figure everything out alone. All my emails asking for help have not resulted in anything either. I would advise students especially to rethink their decision of wanting to use these estate agents to rent, particularly Shahid and Grant. They will not be helpful at all. Wouldn’t recommend using them at all. Especially if your rent is on the high end: rather use a more professional agency that will give you value for your money.

Taking over 6 months to return deposit. Not professional, not responsive.
I dont suggest anyone use this agency as they are unprofessional and they dont take their costumers seriously.
They have violated my contract entered the property 2 days before the check out day and collected the keys without my permission or notice. They made it impossible for the cleaning team I arranged to enter the property and later on charged me £300 for the cleaning not taking place which they had caused. I was kept responsible for their violation of the contract and their lack of communication and professionalism.
I have lost £570 on cleaning of a 1 bed flat. And I have refered this deposit to TDS as well as making a money claim at small claims court.
They will take 5 weeks to respond to an email. Saying “you will get your deposit shortly” every single week. For HALF A YEAR.
Another additional info you should keep in mind is that they wont check their properties. When i moved in the closet, chairs, shower head, balcony door main emterence door was all broken and damaged. The balcony door fully dismantled and fell on me. So if you are making the mistake of renting from this agency make sure you check everything because later on you will be charged.
you had no right to enter the property and collect my keys BEFORE THE END OF THE TENANCY.
Honestly there are better estate agencies out there, that won’t treat you like this. When you have a late payment they absolutely lose their minds but it’s absolutely ok for them to steal from you and to take months to return deposit.
I really hope they eventually reply to my lawyer at least. Because this is just unacceptable!

The agent we worked with (Tasif) made himself readily available for us, answering many of the annoying questions I had for him. He was always willing to help out over WhatsApp and showed us around the place at separate times since we weren't able to both see it first time. I am really thankful for his effort. Only annoying thing is that things have slowed down with getting answers once we moved in from the other agents in Chase Evans, but I expect covid is having an impact on getting things fixed

We had been served by Peter Burgon who found us a new tenant after the existing tenant, AMZ Estates Ltd (also found by Peter) defaulted on their rent and we had to evict them from the apartment by way of a Deed of Surrender.
Since then we had been unable to get clarity on the outstanding rent owed to us by the previous tenant.
We had written unsuccessfully on multiple occasions to Harvey Asahi, Daniel Gregory and Peter Burgon who did not even have the decency to acknowledge our email.
So far, only Keely Wesley is responding diligently to our email requests on the new tenant but as the Property Manager, she is unable to help.
We had been letting our apartments through Chase Evans since 2015 and this episode is really a big disappointment reflecting the lack of accountability on the representatives of the firm.
It really created a doubt on whether we should continue this relationship with Chase Evans on the expiry of the current tenancy agreements of both our apartments in Trafalgar Place and Paddington Exchange.

Also, she did not ensure that all damages by previous tenant was accounted for resulting in repairs of more than GBP600 that landlord has to bear.

We relocated from Germany to London in the middle of the Corona pandemic. This could have ended in a disaster but thanks to Tasif and his team it all worked out great!
Tasif helped us find a nice apartment according to our preferences and budget, and he patiently lead us through the entire process from making an offer to getting the keys. He reached out to us with suggestions for apartments we may like, he provided video viewings (since in-person viewings were not an option at the time) and he immediately answered to all our messages - sometimes within seconds.
We're very grateful to have had such a friendly, professional, responsive and reliable agent to help us find and move into our new apartment.

- A quarter into the tenancy agreement a leak appear and the walls started to get mouldy. We reported immediately and 5 MONTHS later nothing has been done to fix it. This was causing us health problem and flooding the apartment with a massive stink. We were forced to contact the council regarding this issue since the flat was not in proper living condition.
This is what you get for £1900 a month with these people.

Having read negative reviews online, I was initially skeptical on engaging with the negotiator and Chase Evans. However Shahid has proven to be very professional, responsive, patient when I enquired on a handful of properties, and manages expectations well by being transparent on offer updates from the Landlord. It is challenging in this COVID-19 situation as viewings are restricted but Shahid has been very helpful in providing the necessary information as requested in order for me to make my decision on renting the property, and has given me much assurance.
Shahid negotiates deal in the tenant’s best interest and is someone who keeps in mind on what tenants’ preferences are (e.g. I needed a big dining table and he found me a unit with a good sizeable table and has negotiated a good rate). I have just moved into the property and Shahid is not a negotiator who cuts off communication once the deal has been done, and has been helpful in resolving issues. His customer-centric approach is an asset for Chase Evans.
Leigh who facilitated the paperwork process was very prompt in email replies, which helped expedite the process.

Worst agency ever. Never have I dealt with a more unreasonable agency, especially during a time like this when we are going through a pandemic. First of all, once we made an offer for the place which they have accepted, they have been very unfriendly and demanding. They required us to go to the office to show original copies of passport and even required my guarantor to show original copies of his passport or get it certified. I have never had another agency ask this of me before and they will not make any exceptions seeing as the guarantor is part of a vulnerable group. They have threatened to pull the contract/offer and put the house back on the market which is them just trying to use fear tactics. Its a shame because the flat was really nice, but it is not worth it, they have cause us so much unnecessary stress. After reading all the bad reviews, I regret choosing this agency and will never use them again. There are much better agencies with simpler processes and friendlier agents. Please do not use Chase Evans, they don’t deserve your money, take it to a better agency.

To start, I have gone through the trouble of creating a google account just to warn others about this estate agent.
Despite all the reviews, Chase Evans is a negligent estate agent. The staff have been unprofessional, dating back to the day our offer was accepted. You are required to pay a deposit to make an offer on a flat, at which point you are locked in and they will lie / not undertake proper due diligence to close the sale. Notably, both our specific terms of offer were accepted and then not put in place.
In our case, the agents are located on the other side of London and are too lazy to come to the property when they are needed to.
I have rented for a number of years and have never had an experience like this. I would strongly advise any tenant considering taking on a property with Chase Evans to reconsider. Having a sub-par managing agent just adds aggregation to your life. As tenants, we have had to incur expenses and an enormous amount of time away from the workplace in order to rectify issues with the flat.
Avoid as entirely our view on the service is unprofessional, negligent and unhelpful.

Low efficiency of dealing with any problems when we move in.
Not helpful at all after we pay the rent.
When we move in, no cleaning done! lots of things damaged! I have sent emails to let them know the problems, they ignored my emails at all and even let us to pay those damage after check out.
During the living, We have to contact the facility companies to fix the problems. They always delayed every problems we face within our house. I have called them more than 10 times every day to let them come to check the washing machine.
But high efficiency on making contracts to get money!
In addition to these, they delayed the deposit return process and they deducted our deposit for no reasons at all.
I have tried many ways to claim for unfairness, but they just ignored them every time!
I feel hopeless to this company.
DO NOT COME HERE! Trust me!

NEVER EVER RENT FOR THIS INCOMPETENT LETTING AGENCY. The entire experience from collecting my keys, move in readiness of the apartment and the maintenance department has been abysmal.
There is just too much to write about how many things have gone wrong with them.
But one of the major ones has been that for over 2 months and we still don't have proper running water. When I email Chase to get it fixed, they responded within a few days and coordinate a plumber at their leisure.
Even if you find your dream apartment and Chase Evans are the letting agenct, avoid avoid avoid!

Currently asking for a mail box key that they never give me because before I move in they lost the key. Has been 3 weeks they still "working on it" even after me sending them email daily reminding them. (hasn't been solve)
Broken things before I arrive has not been fix after 3 months of requesting " Investing in that matter" (still haven't been solve)
etc etc...
rip I've wrote too many .. use it if you must, Avoid it if you can guys

Currently asking for a mail box key that they never give me because before I move in they lost the key. Has been 3 weeks they still "working on it" even after me sending them email daily reminding them. (hasn't been solve)
Broken things before I arrive has not been fix after 3 months of requesting " Investing in that matter" (still haven't been solve)

I went through an extremely lengthy and frustrating process buying a flat that made me lose the will to live. It made it all the more difficult for me because I didn't understand why it took so long and what the trouble was. Tony at Chase Evans however was extremely good in informing me and helping me understand the situation and gave me peace of mind. At one point he called me daily to keep me in the loop and also helped chased all parties involved to speed things up. I am now happily in the property but can say that without Tony's assistance I very likely am still sitting here waiting and wondering..

Most awful agency I collaborated with. I made the mistake of renting through them twice. The handover of the apartment is awful, they lie about items being removed from the property and by the time you go in the storage spaces are packed. To be mentioned that every time I rented a new place they didn't bothered to handover 2 RF door tags but just one and we had to pursue them for weeks. I would never ever recommend this agency, they don't really care about tenants and it's painful to pursue them to solve the issues exiting in the property.

The collective team take extremely long to take care of tenant’s issues and are rude. I was left without heating for weeks during the winter as they took forever to deal with my issues. I experienced this on a number of occasions when things broke in the flat.
From A-Z my personal experience has been very unpleasant and I would never want to work with them again.

I been renting properties last 7 years. And my summary after one year renting in this agency:
- It was one year of hell, property managers changed 3 times. Nobodies care about issues with flat.
- Deposit return - last cyrcle of the hell, I hired the lawyer, because after 10 weeks I didn't get money, I didn't get any estimation, etc.
If you have a good lawyer in your freinds, if you have a good will and a lot of money - chase evans your choise.

Absolute shambles...been renting for years and this is by far the worse experience I have had. Property management team does not really seem to care, unable to reach anyone who can take ownership of the situation. Found some items that belonged to the previous tenant, was advised to just chuck them in the bin (including a medical device) would avoid at all cost if you could as I don't really know what the agency fees are paid for..

The staffs are friendly, and awesome on the work. Also, they provide lots of convenience, the most satisfying thing is that they use wechat for Chinese customers.

Most estate agents are pretty much the same, id say my experience of Chase Evans has been fairly smooth. had a few little hiccups with my apartment, which were sorted after chasing. Much better than other Agents I have used as I managed to actually get my problems sorted this time.

We can tell from the way Chase Evans and our assigned property manager Omar handled this matter that he is responsive and a responsible property manager. It is good that our property is in his hands.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They use photos of flats that are not on the market to get call backs and entice you in to looking at other places they have. EXTREMELY misleading advertising - DO NOT TRUST THE PHOTOS. After the letting agent failed to gain access to the first viewing because he had not arranged it properly with the tenants, I then viewed a second flat that according to the photos and description, was a large 1-bed apartment. It was in fact a very small studio flat that I would have never considered viewing had they been honest. Time wasting, inconsiderate liars that will do anything to boost their 'call' numbers.

Agent Shahid scheduled a viewing with me and when I called him later that day because he hadn’t sent me any confirmation he claimed he doesn’t remember me nor my booking and when I tried to remind him of our conversation he got very rude “do you want to see the flat or not?” He then made another appointment which he cancelled because the flat went off the market. Really horrible people don’t work with them.

Shamefully dishonest company. Have spent 45k£ in rent with them and they do a completely inaccurate end of tenancy report, charging me 1200£ for items that were clearly marked as damaged in the check in report. Highly unprofessional people with zero work ethics.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - I bought a flat through them last year dealing with Christian Austin. They upset the vendor to the point where he nearly dropped out and switched agent. I had to step in and somehow the deal went through. This year I purchased the adjacent flat from the vendor directly which Chase Evans were also instructed to sell. On completion Christian was so upset to miss out on commission that he refuse to release the keys to me for 10 days despite having confirmation from my solicitors that I am the legal owner. I had to take it up with his manager Tony who supported Christian in this matter. I then spoke to Holly from HQ who was horrified and assured me the matter would be dealt with immediately. Didn't hear from her again and spoke to Omar having been told he was the manager of the Head Office. He confirmed by emails that keys would be dropped at my offices the same day which never happened. I did seek legal advice and was told not to waste my time on this case but their behaviour was unprofessional and disgusting so neither myself, nor the vendor will be dealing with any Chase Evans branch going forward. When they finally did hand over the keys I later noticed it included the keys for another flat in my building which doesn't belong to me ... how unprofessional!

The same day after our cleaners left, the inventory company declared the placed not clean at all and charged us around 300GBP for a new cleaning that never even took place. They are just common crooks. AVOID DEALING WITH THEM AT ALL COSTS.

They charge high fees for inventory check-out and more than a month's of rent as deposit. We spent 42k GBP in rent plus 300 GBP on their recommended provider of a comprehensive end of tenancy cleaning service and they still screw us for a paltry 300 GBP in alleged damage to the property, which was either fair wear and tear or already existent when we moved in - which we recorded via email with attached pictures at the move in date - yet to no avail, case now going through the dispute resolution process. A dishonest, far too busy and superficial company - strongly discourage anyone from using them.

In general they will robustly and aggressively defend the landlord's rights and extract as much value from the tenant as they can. Great for the landlord - unfortunate for the tenant, so be aware of that if you are the latter.

Worst letting agency out there. Staff is rubbish, unfriendly and unprofessional. When you are in need of any service, you are obliged to take care of 99% of the work yourself and when they try to do something, they do a bad job at it. Save yourself (and your time and frustration) and find someplace else.

Worst renting experience I have ever had. Completely useless during the period of our tenancy, and upon leaving the property they attempted to charge us for faulty items that they had previously agreed (but failed dismally) to replace.
