Prior to signing the agreement l requested for blinds.
I was informed the day before l moved in, the blinds were installed.
When l moved in on the 30th April 2024 no blinds were installed.
I checked with the "then" property manager and the excuses were never ending.
I had no privacy l had to use bed sheets to cover the windows.
Fortunately there was a change in property manager.
Victoria came to do her 6 monthly inspection. I brought this to her attention. She was a "god sent"
She is very efficient ,caring and assured me she will address it at the next meeting.
Victoria is a very conscientious and gets on with the job. She cares about the tenants and ensures they are treated fairly. She communicates if l need to be informed of changes.
If it was not for Victoria l wouldn't have had my blinds installed.
I finally am enjoying my privacy .
My sincere thanks to Victoria current property manager. She is one of a kind.

Rented a room in a shared house with them for three years, never saw any of them in person. They were basically the laziest agency ever - every problem in the house (of which there were many) took a couple of weeks of repeated emails for them to call a contractor. We had a blocked sink for over 3 months until they reluctantly lifted a finger. (Of course, if someone was late on the rent, they would be in touch within a day).
The property managers were all the same: imagine the most annoying customer service rep who's ever emailed you - they were a rotating cast of that person. For all I know, they could all be a single AI chatbot, prompted to be as condescending and obtuse as possible.
I imagine they'll "have no record of me" like they've posted in response to so many other reviews. Two stars because they did eventually get most things fixed when we badgered them long enough, and they gave me my deposit back (because they were too lazy to ever do any inventory checks).

Renters: AVOID. Deplorable, avoid. Last issue I had three months ago, my shower was leaking/wasting 80% of its water output - which not only increased my water bill but also made bathing inconvenient and had a huge environmental impact. It took them ONE MONTH to have it fixed! ONE MONTH with an extra-damp, mould-inducing bathroom, and troublesome shower. Now the decades-old sun-cracked worn-down blinds fell down, exposing my home to anyone on the street - it's been several days, and not a single word from them. The Maintenance Request on their system is just ignored, my e-mail messages are never replied to, my phone call is cut short with "I'm checking that and get back to you" and they never do.
Renters, seek a rental agency that cares about your well-being. Properties in London, in general, are very old and maintenance demanding, if your agency doesn't do that for you you are in for a bad time. I'm reaching for my council for guidance, this is unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour.

Daniel Ford were helpful when trying to find a property but have been awful with exiting a property. They provided the incorrect information how to vacate. They do not reply to emails for weeks unless you call them to chase up. Staff have been very rude on the phone every time I have tried to contact.

Trying now to threaten me for eviction unless i agree for a rent increase of 29.4% after i had already agreed to a rent increase of 9.4% the previous day for renting a drafty, dilapidated 2 bed semi in custom house, one of the most socioeconomically deprived areas in the UK.

Had a great experience renting a flat managed by Daniel Ford. Dominik and Ola were prompt to respond to questions about the tenancy and the paperwork. Referencing was done quickly. An issue with an appliance that I discovered after moving in was resolved the next business day.
Updating after one year of tenancy:
- the flat developed several water leaks and a waste pipe leak, none of which were rectified during the tenancy despite multiple back-and-forth emails
- the agency won't return the deposit voluntarily referring to the paragraph about deductions for unpaid bills and asking for the proof that all bills are paid that two of the utility providers at the property don't provide

I was serviced by this company for my let for a flat in Canary Wharf and I was extremely disappointed. Very unprofessional, questionable ethics, and very insincere. This is my first experience renting in London as I was transferred from Canada for a work position in Canary Wharf last fall, and this company has left me with quite a shock of it’s lack of quality and fulfilling basic standards of practice. I’m extremely disappointment with this agency.

The company is an absolute joke. The staff are incredibly rude and impatient. Alot of hidden fees so please check your contract before signing anything. Take pictures before you start your tenancy for proof of the state of the flat at the end of the tenancy. Be warned and go to another estate agency!

Staff were very impatient to get my paperwork filed and even signed the agreement without processing my passport as ID which is very unprofessional and untrustworthy. After the agreement was singed there was lack of communication from their end on any issue I had with the flat. I would go several days without hot water in the building to which I would get either a vague or no response for several days. A few other issues with strangers parking in my spot also never got resolved which was disappointing. It got worse as I was coming to the end of the tenancy agreement, where one of the staff members reported back and tried to charge me an extra £80 for cleaning which was nonsense. When trying to clear the situation with their staff I was spoken to in a very rude and childish manner where Mr Sunil Kapadia was laughing and showed a "I don't care" attitude, being ignorant to not even know what the Tenancy Act of 2019 was. I find it shady how half of the reviews on this website are "test reviews" and fake, just goes to show how they need to improve. I tried to leave this exact review on their actual site, but apparently it has to be moderated and reviewed before published which is even more worrying. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I recently came crossed with Daniel ford estate and I have mainly been dealing with Shab. I must say the service is absolutely spot on and first class. Renting an apartment in London is not an easy task, especially in premier area in London. Shab has made the task easy and smooth. I really cannot say enough thank you to this estate agent! Specifically, I was dealt with by Shabnam and I have to say she’s an angel. She provides quick responses and always seeks to provide help. The company though can always seek to improve. I would recommend that the maintenance team respond faster to the requests made. Overall though, Daniel Ford and Co. has provided me with a great housing experience!

Unfortunately I am forced to write a review due to receiving such a poor service from Daniel Ford. Before signing the tenancy agreement for our flat the service seemed great, however once moved in we have been consistently ignored and spoken down to. We were left without hot water upstairs for over two months! As well as weeks without any blinds at the windows. I had to call almost everyday during this period as I was being consistently ignored via email. I had the displeasure of dealing with Beverly who was so incredibly rude over the phone I have never experienced customer service like it. As of right now we still have many unsolved issues in the flat. We have builders equipment left from before we moved in, and letters from the council stating the building is not compliant with planning. I feel we were lied to before handing over our money about the service that we would be provided. I do not recommend using Daniel Ford.

Was quite wary when dealing with this company. I was assured that the reviews on google were wrongly written, however after renting a flat from them everything went downhill. They left me with no heating for 3 weeks. The property manager Abbie told me 'we are busy stop calling us' this was in the middle of winter. I have taken them to the UK courts to try and get this sorted.
I think its true that they probably do fraud, its all over the internet when you write in google DANIEL FORD ESTATE AGENTS FRAUD. I am quite scared if they have done something with my bank details

This company tried to defraud me out of my deposit. I put a deposit in with this company for a property in Kinga Cross, they had taken 2 peopes deposit and told me i would have to wait 3 months for my money back. Luckily i won in court.

At first I was a little worried due to some bad reviews and the fact that the agency is rather small, but at least for me and up to this point (few months after moving into rented flat) that was an unnecessary concern. Shabnam was very kind and professional and was very approachable, and when I had issues with heating and other stuff the issue was always resolved within a few days at least. Shabnam even got us mattress covers for us to use. We did end up using our own since we already bought them but that was so kind of her. Cant be more satisfied, at least up to this point.

This agency is one big joke. I rented a flat for 3 years. On the day of checking the flat, the guy who was making the report said that the flat was in very good condition. After a few days I received an e-mail requesting £420 for painting a wall in two rooms. For three years, the agency did nothing and took £420. This amount is a joke. After my e-mail that the amount is ridiculous I got a reply that if I want I can go to court with the landlord.I am so glad and happy that I decided to NOT renew contract for another year. I do not recommend.

They don't show up to viewings!
If I could give them no stars I would. Made an appointment on a Wednesday to view Thursday evening after work.
They were a no show late at night. I checked the listing and it was let agreed but it wasn't when I booked the appointment or when i left work. They could have messaged me to avoid me getting home at 10pm for nothing!

Gave me false hope, they need to communicate with the Potential tenants properly left me very distressed for the whole day. Took my deposit, not explaining facts. Going to the housing Ombudsman. Still haven’t got my deposit back. Avoid!!!!

This particular agent:
Told me that I have 24 hours to prepare my rented flat for a viewing that I was not aware of until then.
- did not ask for my permission if I am free for the viewing
- did not ask for my permission to let the viewing happen without my presence (+ using management set of keys to let themselves in)
I don't own the flat, I am renting but it is still my living space after all. If this particular agent have asked me nicely instead of just informing and demanding everything, I wouldn't even post this review because this is really the last straw that I have endured for almost 2 years of such service from Daniel Ford.
I don't know much about the property culture in UK among agents but I do know it is basic courtesy to ask instead of demanding your current tenant. No one would want strangers in their living space without their presence or permission.
Please send all your agents to soft-skill courses such as improving communicating skills. Thanks

We have just spent 3 months to let them to rent our property through Daniel Ford & CO estate agents in London and it's been terrible.
They were friendly and helpful up to the day they rent the property. After this day, they have been awful, unhelpful, difficult to contact and tried to bully us into paying more money in some hide fees
They lied about the property's condition to some tenants.
Daniel Ford & CO estate agents are by far the worst letting agency I've dealt with.
Do not go with this company.

I just rent a flat from them few weeks ago. House hunting is never an easy thing to do. I am absolutely amazed by them and their service. I have to say I was a little bit concerned after reading the comments from google in the beginning. However, they are great and super organised as a small scale real estate agency. I would like to point out Ms. Shabnam, she is very professional, generous and patient, as well as Mr. Makan. I will 100% recommend Daniel Ford, they are so much better than those chain and famous real estate agency. Good luck with house hunting if you are reading this comment:)
