We didn't end up purchasing with David Baker due to unforeseen complication near to completion, however we feel we need to write a review on how good they're.
Most estate agents view every interaction as a single event and can be quite abrupt and unprofessional, some even lying about houses and offers and don't appreciate even if you're not a customer of theirs at this time, you could well be in the future. I'm glad to say this is not the case with David Baker.
Craig,Charles,Debbie were great - whilst they obviously put the vendor 1st, they treated every viewing & communication with us
in a very professional way.
Even though we didn't purchase with them we have already recommended them twice to friends and they would definitely be our 1st point of contact if we ever come to sell our house in Penarth in the future.
Their staff are really a credit to their company

Leaving my second review now that the sale is complete. Buying/Selling a home can be an emotional rollercoaster. David Baker Estate Agents, and in particular Craig at the agency, demonstrated impeccable professionalism as well as compassion during what was a stressful time. They are an agency you can trust. They absolutely know what they're doing and it's clear why they've been the most successful agency in the area for so long. We had our house valued by Charles because we wanted to buy ourselves out of the Help to Buy scheme. It was valued at £410,000.
Our neighbour's house, which is exactly the same, has just gone on the market for £395,000. I'm not sure why our house was valued at £10,000 more than the neighbour's; it's the same house but 10ft to the left.
I mentioned at the time that it seemed like an overvaluation. We obviously have to pay 20% of the valuation to repay the Help to Buy, so we were disappointed and still think £410,000 is a high valuation for our property compared to others on our estate.
Update: We just had our house valued, and they agreed it was significantly overvalued. We've been advised to seek legal advice regarding the poor valuation.

They were most helpful and friendly, keeping us up to date and providing useful feedback following viewings. Craig Jeffries deserves a particular mention.
