You cannot get hold of anyone here - I've left voicemail messages, sent emails and used the contact us option on their website but to no avail. That was for both sales and purchase and it does not fill you with any confidence. I can only take it that this is a one man(person) band setup.... Read more

I recently sold my property with EXLA London and honestly, I couldn’t have been happier with the service provided by Ben and Chris. From my first meeting with Chris, I knew he was genuine and passionate about the properties they sale. Chris is brilliant at getting the best price from the buyers and Ben’s relentless commitment to progressing the sale was really impressive. Because of time lost due to the covid 19 closure of the housing market for three months, I jointly listed my flat with the local high street agent, Reeds Rain. Despite finding me a buyer, it became clear that Reeds Rains lacked the drive to progress the sale and after weeks of inactivity, I reverted back to sole agency with EXLA, who re-listed it and found me a buyer within days. Ben’s creative problem solving in a market beset by Covid related holdups and backlogs was admirable and he saw the sale through to completion in an impressive timeframe despite a lack of urgency from solicitors. Clear lines of communication were always kept open and they were always on the end of the phone when I had a question. Exla London offer a brilliant service that I hadn’t come accross before, they let the bedrooms of my flat individually to young professionals, and also let my living room as a bedroom. I was impressed with Chris from EXLA from when he first came for the valuation - very straight talking, very professional, and generally inspired confidence. However I was tempted by a lower fee and a higher valuation so I went with PurpleBricks. The property was on the market with them for about 8 weeks with the only offers more than 10% below the asking price. I even lowered the price with PurpleBricks which made it the same as EXLA's initial valuation. I eventually conceded that PB seemed unlikely to sell and went with EXLA. Chris sold the flat on the first day of viewings, negotiating the price so they offered at asking price, and even achieving a little above that with some more negotiation. Had he not managed this I probably would still be in the process of selling! After accepting the offer Chris made the rest of the process really easy - he kept in regular contact, answered all my questions extremely quickly, and generally I couldn't have asked anything more. The sale went through without a hitch. Overall I massively recommend selling with EXLA and really can't think of anything to fault them on!... Read more
