I can't recommend Farndells enough, especially if you need a local and supportive agent. We are based out of town and John and his team went well above and beyond, including recommending minor works needed to improve saleability, helping us find local contractors to undertake that work for a fair price and also being around a lot more than one could expect for all the niggles and fiddly bits on a transaction like this including being on site a lot more than anticipated.
We are so grateful to them, we'd still be here with an empty property otherwise, but we got a sale, to some very happy new buyers at a fair price for all parties.

We have recently sold our house with Farndell Estate Agents. We chose them because one we were recommended by a family member and two we really felt John would be the best person to sell our house.
Well we were not wrong as it sold within one week and we received the full asking price too.
Throughout the whole process the team at Farndell's were amazing at keeping us up to date with all parts of our sale as well as answering the many random questions I would ask too.
We are really glad that we used them and would recommend them to anyone thinking of selling their house.

An appointment was not cancelled, this is not true, which I can evidence in writing. Also please don't call me as you tried to do earlier and then leave no message (I had to trace the number on google to see who had called). There are genuine reasons that I have given a 1 star review and I should be able to do this without being told that the only interaction was a cancelled appointment (which is not honest) and then to get my number and start calling me.

I considered and received quotes from four agents before choosing Farndell to sell my house. What stood out was John's detailed knowledge of the local property market, honesty and wealth of experience. He clearly explained the costs involved and how he would market the property. We received three offers following the first weekend of viewings and accepted an offer at asking price. The whole process from initial meeting to completion took three months, during this time John and Sue were always available to resolve any problems and help with any questions I had. I cannot recommend Farndell Estate Agents enough.

Farndells were originally recommended to us by a friend. We decided to sell with Farndells because on our initial meeting John seemed very knowledgeable of the current market, he was the only agent who valued our house and didn’t try to just increase our property value to get our business. Farndells sold our house on the first day of viewings, we had 11 viewings booked in and we had an offer for full asking price by lunch time, which was fab. We have had a tricky chain with some random issues but they were fab at communicating and keeping us in the loop all the way.

We recently sold and bought through Farndell Estate agents. John Farndell himself came out and valued our house, and again with the photographer to put the house on the market. John and his team have been extremely helpful, and friendly. Katie and Sue were fantastic at organising the viewings on our sale. John attended himself on our viewing of the property we purchased and even came and saw us on completion. I would highly recommend John Farndell and his team. Through this pandemic we have wanted to support small and local businesses wherever we can.

Our property was up for sale with Farndells for around 12 weeks and throughout that time we didn’t have much interest on our property. Communication isn’t great, Sometimes they would go as long as a week after a viewing without contacting us with feedback, so we were always chasing them up. They took quite a while putting boards up and were generally a bit slack. We were told we were being unreasonable for not accepting offers way below the asking price, despite John stating we would have no trouble getting the asking price at our valuation. So we swapped estate agents, within 2 weeks with our new agent we have accepted an offer for the asking price. Obviously this is just our experience with Farndells and everyone’s is different, we just personally wouldn’t recommend.

First of all I bear no relationship to the owners of this company. My first occasion the buyer of my property dropped out. The second was just an unfortunate occasion. What has frustrated me is that I was promised call backs that never happened and had to keep chasing for answers. It was frustrating to keep chasing when the Estate agents you are buying from actually do a better job than the ones are hoping to pay. Won't be using again
