Had a property through them 5 years ago now. We were homeless and desperate at the time so couldn't be picky. The property was fine to begin with. As time went on we had 6 monthly checks via cando to relay any issues back to landlord. No repairs were carried out as landlord didn't want to pay for them. Cando happily used the property to rent out but didn't make the landlords keep the house in working order. It was only until our house was deemed unsafe to live in, by environmental health after reporting damp, that we moved out. Turns out the check from environmental health was for damp but whilst he was at the property he did a full check. Turns out he had over 4 A4 pages of problems resulting in over £30k of repairs because the landlords are not required to repair things if they cannot afford too. Be weary and do a full check of any and all properties.... Read more
