I’ve been securing a crucial planning approval from Enfield, and throughout the entire process, Ciwan has been exceptional. His professionalism and deep understanding of the job have shone through. He has offered invaluable advice on numerous aspects of the project. Although it’s been a significant undertaking and time-consuming, Ciwan’s reliability in seeing things through is great. We’re now approaching the project’s conclusion, and I eagerly anticipate its completion. I do recommend- Ciwan’s work has been of the highest quality! EDIT: There's been significant delays at each revision causing a lot of headache! Deadlines have been missed constantly potentially requiring a reconsultation.

Haven't fixed our heating in 3 months (and counting). Haven't fixed our bathroom, toilet or kitchen light in 7 months (and counting). They've promised to fix it countless times.

Avoid all costs! During my tenancy, I had to call them at least 5 times to get a response for repairs. Return of the deposit has also been a nightmare as it took 3 months to get my money back and they do not respond to emails or calls.

Totally unhelpful, the guy on the phone misunderstood what I was trying to tell him, and he wouldn't give me a chance to explain and cut the line. It's unfortunate that companies trust their employees to represent them in a professional manner, and employees like this just leave a bad taste in people minds.

By far the worst real estate agency I have ever used or heard of anyone using.
The beginning was very promising, decent house, good area and price. However not long into the tenancy the appliances started breaking down. First call to the agent was answered and the promise of repair given - never fulfilled in neither this nor many future cases. The number of problems with the house coming up correlated negatively with the amount of replies from the agency. Lack of respect towards our privacy and entering the house with either minimal notice or simply none at all was just the tip of the iceberg. Mould was taking over the house and agency’s action was despicable. In the end I believe we might have discovered a new species of a fungus on our bathroom ceiling (picture provided). Passive aggressive email exchange became a norm, but the peak of tactlessness and ignorance was when a glass shower wall spontaneously exploded (a common occurrence especially with flawed constructions, as in our case), yet the agent’s response claimed they ‚have of course had the damaged glass panel in the shower inspected by multiple suppliers and fitters, all said this is a direct result of direct damage, they unfortunately laughed at the explanation given regarding the temperature somehow shattering the entire screen’. It speaks for itself, I believe, what was the quality of services used by the company. Oh, and no one came to inspect the glass. Also, yes, I am slowly coming towards the last chapter.
The absolute climax of our adventure was however the abominable attempt of the agency to strip us of our deposit money. 300£ mattresses? 300£ paint jobs? Thank heavens for Deposit Protection Scheme. Otherwise we would have simply have to bid goodbye to thousands of pounds.
It was a journey I wouldn’t wish upon my greatest enemy. And how I dreamed during those months of being able to afford a lawyer...

I have delt with Charlie McMonagle, Hawks Property Group lettings manager and everything was efficient and easy from viewing the property to signing my contract. I would definitely use them again and would strongly recommend. Thank you Charlie.

Appalling. Among other issues, the property was unfinished upon moving in, and I found evidence of pest infestation (a lovely dead mouse, joy!). Our tenancy started in August and we've been trying to chase this agency up to carry out basic repairs and get pest control in ever since. They couldn't even provide us a gas safety certificate. Avoid this agency in exactly the same way our agent avoids responding to us!

the worse appartment management and maintenance.
I have never been in a worse appartment then 50 Fitzroy House Dickens Yard managed by Hawks property.. Heater, hot water, dishwasher, washing machine. every week there is an issue. It is really a pity. I will never rent again through this company and make sure nobody I know does. lesson learned.

Had the displeasure of dealing with Charlie the "lettings manager" (not exactly sure how he got that position). Originally we were booked in to see two rooms that were in the same house however, upon arrival Charlie said that it would not be possible to view the second larger room because he did not have access as the tenant had not moved out yet.
Now, with every other lettings agency we have dealt with even if their has been a tenant living their they have arranged with the tenant to allow viewings of their room.
So naturally after being shown the first room I asked Charlie why it was not possible to see the second room, he simply replied that it had not been arranged and we can't intercede on someone's personal space (second part is true but it should have been arranged?) I asked further why it hadn't been arranged since we had been booked in to see two rooms and his response was "im not getting into an argument with you".
Finding this a little strange we walked out the house where whilst he was closing the door I was going to ask when it would be possible to book to see another room Hawkes had to offer when I was interupted by Charlie and he went off on me. Saying how I was rude to him upstairs and that he would never even put me in to one of his rooms because I would start causing problems.
Then this is where the real trouble starts as he kept on going off and shouting at me I was shocked and said "and you're the lettings manager?" His response?
"I may be a lettings manager but I'm also from hackney" - Charlie the Lettings Manager of Hawkes Property Group
In this moment he also 'squared' up to me, started shouting across the whole street and shoving his finger in my face. Bare in mind whilst he's about 20cm from my face shouting, he's also not wearing a mask.
Generally speaking the most unprofessional man I have ever met and I believe you should just avoid this company in general. Even if I had apparently been rude to Charlie his response was not warranted, completely unprofessional and frankly if the owners are reading this I really believe you should let him go.

Was excellent form start to finish he went above and beyond he could not do enough for us he was always at the end of a phone call no matter what time we called I would recommend going with hawkes if you don't want time wasters coming to view your home Alan is very professional at his job and made the move much less stress for me I can not thank him enough for all that he did

Shocking customer services. We set a viewing with Charlie Mcmonagle where he wasn’t very open and helpful when providing time slots and after asking to leave work early, he did not show up nor gave us notice beforehand. We were left waiting outside for over 20 minutes, which is when we decided to leave.

I have moved house and home several times and worked with a few estate agents alone the way (usually a taxing experience). Hawkes however is right up there as 'one of the best'.
Rem the manager is very adapt , knowledgeable and friendly. Charlie is a skilful and accomplished negotiator with a personable nature.
Made my latest move so much less stressful.

Having used many estate agents around London in the 5 years I've lived here, this has got to be one of the most unprofessional, rude and genuinely untrustworthy ones I've had the unfortunate pleasure to use.
From unkept promises with fixing basic maintenance issues when moving into the property, to breaching a 24 hour notice contract and showing new tenants around the property without our knowledge or consent when moving out, as well as forcing extra charges on us due to his incompetence with handing us the correct keys.
Overpriced, and under managed.

Alan has been absolutely fantastic with advising me about the property market and how I can put myself in the best position when offering on a property. As the majority of you might know, flat hunting is not an easy job. Thanks to Charlie, from Hawkes properties, I even enjoyed the time I spent going to viewings, making an offer and signing the contract. I had previously let my property via a different agency who did an ok job but I had errors on my lease which only came to light when there was an issue. Needless to say my perception of the industry was pretty negative. My sister subsequently introduced me to Hawkes. They not only offer, but are able to deliver a reliable, efficient and knowledgeable service. I dealt (and continue to deal) with Charlie, who has excellent market knowledge and is always on hand to give advice and reassurance should it be needed. My property is advertised on the relevant sites within hours of the instruction being given and he runs the entire process with the minimum of input from myself.
Once my property is on the market, I receive numerous cold calls from agents wanting to take it on and in the past I would have given it to them. Now, I call Charlie and know with confidence that everything will be taken care of with the minimum of fuss and excellent results. Simples!

I have given Haekes exclusive rights to my property as i'm so confident in them. My agent Charlie has always been polite,helpful and courteous. I would recommend Hawkes to anyone trying to let their property.

Their honest, a rarity in this market, they give outstanding service before, after and during your flat's tenanted period and I have since recommended them to other friends and colleagues who all have the same opinion. I arranged a viewing and tried to contact the agent but they were not answering their phone. I arrived 5 minutes late and could not find anyone at the property. I wouldn't have written this review, but when I suggested that they provide a mobile number in future, they lied and said the agent waited for me for 15 minutes. I don't mind if they didn't wait 5 minutes, but to lie and to respond to some constructive feedback in that way is not OK.

We rented a flat from Hawkes properties and it was the worst experience we've ever had. We had problems with flooding and mould in the flat, it took them 3 months to acknowledge and sort it out. They were not responsive to our emails or calls. We were basically managing the property ourselves. We definitely don't recommend this estate agency.
