It was hassel for us initialy to find an accomodation on Leicester coming from other city. When we contacted the agency, Dilesh was extremely helpful and understanding of our situation. He quickly set up a house for us, which was unbelievable, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to rent a property and is new to Leicester.

I have used Jalaram Estates and they have been professional and welcoming. When I have had issues they have sorted the problems with the house within couple of days.
They have always been polite, helpful and treated me with respect. I was new to Leicester and they were helpful with useful tips.
I have rented houses in the past in other cities and the service I received from Jalaram Estates had been nothing but amazing.
The house I rented was clean and and when I have requested for assistance the agent have gone above and beyond to solve issues at unsociable hours of the day. I am pleased with their service they have provided me and I would definitely recommend to anyone renting a property and new to Leicester.

Avoid them if possible. Reception is not aware of any thing. Appears to be clueless. Viewing booked and don't show up or answer calls. Cancel booking and do not notify of the change. Not going to use them at all.

Super Unprofessional. I called to book a viewing, they told me they’d get back to me. I waited 4 days and heard nothing, tried to call back for the next 2 days, they reject all my calls and don’t pick up. I finally get a hold of someone from the estate agency and book a viewing for Saturday at 1pm. I go to the viewing, wait outside of the property for 30 mins only for them NOT TO SHOW UP. Poor communication and unprofessional. Avoid if you are a student or professional looking for a place to live.

Avoid at all costs, refused to pay back deposit or any help with covid , now trying to take us to court claiming we owe them money despite having all payment records in hand, All 5 star reviews are fake with Mr patel being the property manager. There service is disgusting, i lost a key to my bedroom door and it took them 4 weeks to deliver the replacement key despite having it in hand and not answering when i said i would come to collect. Even a year later this nightmare is still going on avoid at all costs please

I spoke to jalaram about a house being sold in evington they promised to get back to me after the lockdown and 5 weeks later I'm I'm still waiting..so very unreliable and unprofessional and a complete waste of time avoid at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. Had mice in the kitchen cupboards and in my bed to name a couple of places. The pest control company tell me that they have been to the property 2 years ago - clearly an issue that is not being resolved any time soon

If you are a student looking to rent a property from this “business” - DONT. They have no sense of organisational or administrative skills, often losing paperwork we were then harassed to provide again months after leaving the property. They never respond to any attempts to contact them, were reluctant to return our deposits despite us leaving our accommodation in a far better state than when we initially moved in, and could not even locate the key to my room in their office for the entire duration of my contract. PLEASE don’t allow yourself to be taken advantage by these people, the best part of my experience with this company was the day I terminated all connection with them.

Jalaram Estates Ltd were absolutely fantastic and went the extra mile to help me. I had special needs and the match provided by the company was excellent. I was very particular about my requirements and, having discussed my needs, Dilesh was extremely patient and really put himself out to provide a level of service that I was really wowed by.
The staff at the main office were approachable, friendly and very helpful.
I would recommend Jalaram Estates Ltd without hesitation. I was so happy with my encounters, especially with Dilesh.

Jalaram Estate Letting agents are a great family run estate agent where customer service is right at the top of the list.
I have been using 'Jalaram Estate agents' now to manage my property for over 18 years. I have never had any issues or concerns either raised by myself or the tenants in my property over the 18 years. I fully trust the team at Jalaram estate agents and as soon as the property was empty they would find suitable good tenants very efficiently, always delivering a great professional quality of service.
The team at Jalaram Estates are very honest, helpful and are good value for money, as a fully managed property service they offer. I know my rental property is in very good hands.
I highly recommend Jalaram Estates, to other landlords who require assistance letting or managing their properties.

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Many empty promises that are not kept, never give notice for when they are turning up but manage to remind us of payment on time. Stay clear of this business.

The radiator in my bedroom didn't work for several months over winter - it got to below 0 degrees in the room but despite regular phone calls and emails nothing was done for months.
Dreadful organisation and customer service. Often didn't even ask for rent, and I'm fairly sure that if I hadn't paid it it wouldn't have been noticed. When rent was paid we often received emails/texts asking why it hadn't been paid.
Didn't pay us our deposit back for weeks after moving out despite being repeatedly promised it... The list goes on.
If you're a student (or anyone else I suppose) please don't use them, there are plenty of better estate agents in Leicester that won't cause you any problems.

Literally the worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. I’d rather be homeless than have anything to do with them again.
- They are IMPOSSIBLE to contact.
- They have no administrative skills whatsoever.
- They are unable to carry out simple tasks such as finding your rent payment within their accounts.
- They constantly hassle for documentation they have already received but have then lost due to unorganisation and laziness.
If I could rate 0/5 stars I would.

Barely functional letting agent. Terrible at paperwork, dishonest, didn't inform the owners we were moving in, didn't turn up for a viewing and can't even manage the simple task of replying to important emails. For your own sake, use someone else.
Update - they also repeatedly lie about using professional cleaners when we moved into an incredibly dirty house. Thank God I no longer have to use them.

I urge anyone considering using Jalaram Estates to read this review before doing so. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. Their staff are utterly unresponsive and lacklustre when it comes to assisting you in any manner. It took me almost an entire year to have my deposit returned to me after a payment mistake on their end, which involved me having to call them multiple times, each time being assured they would sort it all out.
So for anybody considering renting a property through Jalaram Estates, I implore you to use any alternative possible.

Terrible estate agents for students. Never answer texts or emails even when the house is literally falling apart. When you finally get to speak to them they are a lot of talk and no action and blame the landlords when they have no knowledge of the problems. In a house for eight with one working shower for the last 3 months, ceiling fell in in one of the bedrooms, gas oven is temperamental and there are many other issues that just get ignored.
The kitchen ceiling has also fallen through a month after us warning them about a leak. Still no action.

Awful. There was always something wrong with the house and the problem was never sorted swiftly or well. Our landlord was hard to get hold of and he actually ended up costing us a lot of money due to problems with obtaining our meter readings as he couldn't enter the property. What landlord can't enter his own property?! Had a year long battle with a debt collecting company about it and had to end the fight today as we've just had enough and none of us want that on our records. Being students, we expected the poor treatment/cleanliness of the house before we even arrived, but having moved on this year to a new estate agent and property, I can't believe what we had to put up with the year beforehand. If I could give this company a 0 out of 5 I would. I wouldn't normally write such a review, but I want to warn people looking into renting with Jalaram Estates Ltd, especially students, not to. It's more hassle than it's worth and there are much better estate agents out there.
