I recently bought a house through JS. Sam showed me around on a number of occasions. He was always on time and very friendly and helpful. For the negotiating part, I dealt with Anne. She was also very friendly and quick to get back to me. Eventually the sale was sealed and Anne kept in touch with me throughout. I always thought the agents worked for just the seller but with Anne I felt she gave me the personal attention that I was after too. The property had been empty for 6 months and JS were attentive enough to drain the system. We switched on the boiler the other day and all in working order. So relieved that they did this considering we just had a very cold spell. All in all, I would recommend JS and would consider using them to sell my property in the future too!

So we found a property we wanted to buy which was being sold using JS. We dealt with Danielle Jeffery & she was very good in sorting out viewings / communications etc. When we decided to buy the said property we also needed to sell our own. I naturally looked at online reviews & JS had a high ranking. They did have some 1 star reviews however after reading them, the majority of issues have nothing to do with the estate agent, i.e. dirty dwellings, being gazumped, cancelled viewings....so not a fair appraisal for JS I think. Also, reviews with no comments are also "suspect" generally. I also looked at online reviews for Knightsbridge Estate Agents as they sold more houses in my "area" then anyone else. After talking with both companies we felt Knightsbridge Estate Agents didn't offer anything better than JS and were charging a much higher commission rate (1% vs 1.6%). So in conclusion we used JS for this transaction. Jonathan Cameron came to value our property & was a very nice, polite & a pleasant person to deal with. We therefore felt very comfortable proceeding with JS for our sale. All the staff we dealt with were very nice (Anne, Kirsty, Abbie) as well as Danielle who was leading our sale & purchase. If a viewing was changed / cancelled, Danielle would call & let us know ASAP with a confirmation text message as well. Estate agents have to deal with solicitors / conveyancers throughout the process & sometimes these things don't go to timescale (which clients should take into account & not get angry about). How each party deals with these setbacks is a good indication of whether you have picked the right company to deal with. Luckily JS were very good as was our conveyancer, so apart from a few snags, everything was eventually completed (a few days later but still OK). It's pointless asking for "updates" of the process everyday, Danielle was good at giving these when required so I always knew what was happening. House moving can be a stressful process, however it didn't seem so bad in this situation which I think is down to a good estate agent & solicitor.
I would recommend JS without hesitation.

Just sold using James Sellicks & they were able to suggest 3 conveyancing solicitors and the one we chose was excellent. Not as cheap as P Bricks whereas the other 3 parties in the chain used them and they were horrendous and we were close to not to continue with the sale due to delays, incompetence & lack of experience with the other parties in the chain whereas Sellicks chased proceedings and always kept us updated. We would fully recommend Sellicks.

As a buyer, absolutely shocking service. I know the vendors are the clients but the after care service as a buyer is shocking. Our very expensive, not a project, house was left disgustingly dirty and the agents didn't seem very interested. Three weeks later, still cleaning and finding more junk - dangerous items under the stairs today - to throw away. Disgraceful. I'm hoping at some point in the future we will be able to forget this phase and start enjoying our new home.

Awful service and bad attitude canceling our appointment and put the phone down on my wife after trying to have a reasonable conversation.
My wife had an appointment for view the property on HAREFIELD AVENUE ROWLEY FIELDS for today. My wife called them in the morning and she ask if the property is still available because on Rightmove web site the property looks to has been already let agreed from last week on Friday. No one taking the time to contact us about it .And on top of it they cancel our appointment .

Unprofessional. Accepted our offer through the vendor and everything agreed upon. They even took the property from the market and put the sold board on the property. Confirmed us to go ahead with paperwork and other legal procedures. After three weeks, they informed us that they had received another offer which is higher than ours??? Let us down. Finally, we wasted our time and energy. Better keep the words and trying to be professionally genuine.

Excellent service and I would have no hesitation in recommending James Sellick Estate Agents of Leicester.
It was forty years since I last bought and sold a house so the task was daunting. However, from the initial phone call and visit from the valuer I felt they had a firm understanding of my position. Everyone I came in contact with had clear communications and was extremely professional and friendly without any high pressure. The house sold very quickly but exchange and completion were several months later due to delays down the chain. I was kept up to date every step of the way and felt my interests were being looked after in a very positive manner.

I had viewings arranged for 4.15pm and 4.30pm in the same block of flats respectively - a letting agent showed up at 4.45pm (despite several calls to the office) and informed me that she hadn't been told she had me as an appointment. One of the flats I was there to view had been let without telling me, and the other flat was not available at the date it had been advertised. Overall, completely wasted my afternoon.

Abi dealt with our purchase and she was lovely to deal with - polite, well informed and when she said she’d do something she actually did it, which in my experience of estate agents is something of a novelty!! Without a doubt, had it not been for her our purchase would not have gone through when it did. I would most definitely recommend James Sellicks as I cannot praise then highly enough and would use them again in future without hesitation.

I would thoroughly recommend James Sellicks estate agents. As a nervous first time buyer, who didn't always understand the processes, I found the staff to be very attentive and always on hand to give advice on all aspects of my purchase.
Anne Mann, in particular, was excellent and on the odd occasion I felt it necessary to chivvy the sellers solicitors along Anne asked me to leave it with her, and it was promptly resolved.
Further viewings were facilitated to allow me to take measurements and again the staff that helped were very flexible in making this possible.
Penny, at Eden Financial Consultants, who works closely with James Sellicks, provided excellent mortgage advice and all of my insurance needs. Again, she was absolutely first class.
I cannot fault the services I have received over the past few months.

James Sellicks provided an impeccable service for a house we recently purchased. From the initial offer acceptance to completion they went above and beyond what I was expecting. Unlike other estate agents we have dealt with in the past the team would always return calls and emails. The whole experience from start to finish was great! The initial valuation of my property was conducted by Charles who arrived promptly, appraised the house and then sat down with me to explain the best way to market and sell my property. Charles explained the current market conditions, what buyers were looking for and with a few changes, the house was on the market and viewings booked. I chose Sellicks due to the consultative approach that was taken to sell my house. Whilst wanting to achieve the best price possible, Charles explained to me what the property could be marketed at and what could realistically be achieved as opposed to other properties that don't seem to be selling. We let our home with the help of Sellick's letting agency. They have let our home on 2 separate occasions each time our tenants have been super and really looked after and looking after our home. Anything that needs attention is quickly dealt with and the regular inspections are a great help.

I can honestly say I would of not got through my very difficult house sale without Anne Mann. She is a huge asset to the James Sellick team. The whole team was extremely professional and helpful also.
The valuation was spot on & I got top money for my property with Anne's great negotiating skills.
