Having used Lansbrough for over 9 years in handling the letting of a modest portfolio of properties in and around the Abingdon area I can thoroughly recommend them. They have always been excellent in all aspects of the lettings process and on-going management of the properties. My experience is that they are most fair between landlord and tenant as to who bears what costs and go the extra mile to make sure that everyone is happy and kept informed throughout. They are thorough in ensuring that all certificates are up to date and regularly carry out property inspections. Both Hadrian and Michelle are a credit to themselves and to the profession. Lansbourough Lettings WITNEY OFFICE Well what can I say and where do I start. Inacurate paperwork from there end from the start ,followed by rude unprofessional behaviour. Reducing my daughter to tears,Stressing my wife out making un reasnoable demands on us. Not being prepared to think that he is in the wrong at all. Continuing to proceed down a course that meant that we had to resort to professional advice on the best way to move forward. Even when Lansbourough Lettings Witney were presented by our legal eagles with the facts continued to bully us and not admit that he was in the wrong. We did not get all of our ducks in a row throughout the tennancy but were not the lettings professionals, they are supposed to be. Best advice I can give to any one is USE another Lettings AGENT and dont be bullied. Also get advice from the West Oxfordshire District Councils lettings /Tenancy advice team as soon as your interested in a property (VERY VERY HELPFUL) Follow the advice from the lettings advice officer and record everything that the Lansbourough lettings tells you. Take lots of time scrutinize the schedule of condition within seven days of moving in.make videos and take photos and make voice recordings on your mobile phone to ensure all the facts are recorded. So in my opinion using another local company would be best for you all. This is the first time I have ever posted a negative review about a Witney business but I feel so strongly about this that others need to know. The Didcot Office Whilst looking for a house in Didcot, you will find Lansbrough Letting’s, very kind and helpful, they presented a beautiful property. Several questions were asked during the viewing but, the agent from Lansbrough Letting’s didn’t once inform me of any problems with the property, not even a hint towards what would happen if problems did arise. As anyone would on the premise of such a convincing act, I signed up. The peace lasted approximately three weeks, with every problem I found in the property there were hidden charges i.e. washing machine breaks down and the tenant receives the bill, for the Engineer. Things only got worse when damp, mould and water leaks started. In a nutshell: Lansbrough Lettings hold the tenant responsible for damp which isn’t appropriate at all, every architectural problem with the property is caused due to the tenants negligence! Lansbrough Lettings also do not tell you what exactly is required of the tenant as far as garden upkeep is concerned. The property isn’t quality controlled, so cheap paint, fittings, carpets with no underlay, doors that warp, windows that constantly leak, cheap paint etc it all looks great when you move in but, as soon as you start living in the property all the fixtures and fittings deteriorate rapidly. At the end of the year they charge you for it! Lansbrough Lettings also have a tendency to randomly turn up at your rented property when you haven’t replied to an email i.e. Saturday 9am! They seem to speak to neighbours to find out what you are like and than write long emails telling you how you should live in a house you are paying for! The ‘cheap skate’ Landlord comes into the property when you are on vacation or at work, paints walls, uses your appliances and neither Lansbrough Lettings nor Landlord informs you. After a year it was a relief to leave the property. Lots of haggling over deposits as Lansbrough lettings tried there utmost to charge for any scruff, scratch and yellowing of paint... First they want a deposit of several hundred pounds and than after issuing a warning of seeking legal advice they drop the charges to less than a hundred pounds, how credible is that? I have had it up to my ears with Lansbrough Lettings, they drastically affected my work, academic and social life and the aforementioned is just a scratch on the service of problems experienced over a year.. I would advise anyone not to do business with Lansbrough Lettings at all………….. Please STAY AWAY, you have been warned!... Read more

As a letting agent please do yourself a favour and go with any other one as they do not value privacy at all walking inside without letting the tenant know. Unprofessional and a surprise they are still operating.... Read more
