These lot are proper hopeless. The ones at the crisis team on the phones are like so not listening the way they answer the phone it's like they need a key out in their back to help them to communicate with you. They do the following. Say hello constantly it's like you have been put through to Lionel Richie. They say what can I help you with only for when you tell them in the greatest of details they then ask you again. They end a call even if you haven't even got to tell them your name and details. They want to tell you about their days off like who wants to know about what they are doing on their day off when you are struggling with mental illness. They believe they know what they are talking about when they don't have any idea as to what you did try to tell them. They are hostile towards you. They play mind games with you even though you are suffering from mental illness. They have said about having a cup of tea that many times when you don't drink tea. They palm you off with nonsense and rubbish and they are not bothered. They don't document things on notes that you say they document the opposite. They don't like to hear about another person who was under the so called care of cntw who has passed away. They are not a helpful service because they don't have the ability to listen to an instruction and process the information they are given.... Read more

Doesn't deserve a star at all. I can't believe that anyone would rate this place as 5 star. The place is not fit for human beings and it's because people who are in here are getting abused by the staff it happened when I was in here I witnessed it and the staff just did nothing. Let these people who are in here against their own will go home allow them to be free from this place. People are being mistreated by staff, someone needs to help them get out of there. Again an absolute genuine post. Got no reason at all to post anything that isn't true about the organization.... Read more

This hospital has been a waste of money. The staff are disgusting towards people who phone up and visit. I have never seen such a mess of a place for where people are supposed to be getting help if they even get any help at all. It's got a huge wasted space in the foyer of the building and a cafe that costs a fortune for anything. The wards are not very well maintained for the way that money was spent on the place. There doesn't seem a lot to do in the wards for patients. The room where you visit people who are in the hospital is very small and cluttered with toys that you don't want to be seeing you ask for them to be moved yet a staff member moaned. The staff stare at you when you are visiting. If anyone is having to use this hospital then be warned it's disgusting and will probably end up like that one in Newcastle not fit for purpose. The staff at the crisis team are not very nice so if you have to phone up then be prepared for a lot of hostility and aggression from the staff. They are believing they are perfect they are not.... Dr Willis Tortured me here by forcing dangerous medications into me that left me shaking in a mental coma in a Bed. Worst Mental health ward i ever visited. Worst Doctor i ever met and the staff know because they are so remote away from the public, they can get away with breaking the law regularly. This place needs to be investigated by the police and closed down. They torture people.... Read more

I am writing this review to detail the profound and destructive psychological, emotional, and physical abuse I suffered as a patient at St. George's Park psychiatric unit in Morpeth. This facility did not offer care; instead, it systematically attacked my spiritual being, my personal identity, and my very sense of self, causing immense and lasting harm. Prior to my admission, I was deeply immersed in my spiritual path. I had written a significant 'rap book,' which serves as my personal spiritual and religious belief system. I felt connected to a holy temple, was part of my 'gang,' and experienced powerful initiations within a mega computer in Sunderland. My personal space in Roker, with ocean views, allowed me to find peace and positive 'vibes' with my red wine, white wine, and cigarettes. These experiences were fundamental to my well-being. However, my journey took a devastating turn when I was taken away from my 'gang' by police and eventually arrived at rehab. There, my spiritual book was dismissed, and I was told I was 'not any of the systems in it.' This initial undermining of my identity was deeply distressing and ruined the positive spiritual state I was in. The situation escalated horrifically upon my arrival at St. George's Park. I endured repeated, severe verbal derogatory abuse from the doctors and nurses. They relentlessly attacked my spiritual belief system, telling me my 'rap book didn't mean anything.' Beyond this, I was subjected to deeply personal and cruel attacks, including being 'fed full of horrible food' and then called a 'fat freaky victim.' They used 'really mean words and bullshit' to psychologically bully not just me, but also my 'gang,' aiming to dismantle my connections and beliefs. I don't understand why they so vehemently denied the validity of my book and my spiritual path, why they said it 'was not,' and why they actively tried to physically hurt and bully me. This was not care; it was a deliberate campaign of psychological and physical torment designed to break me down. My spiritual connections to amazing people, those I loved so much, were also attacked, even moving my bodyguard David to tears. I also feel a deep connection to my uncle Graeme Trewick, who built significant landmarks in Sunderland like Trinity Square, Evolve Business Centre, Sunderland Software City, The Beam, and City Hall. I consider these buildings part of my 'palace,' and I have 'Easter eggs' to them. This personal history and connection were also disregarded and mocked. St. George's Park is a dangerous place where vulnerable individuals are stripped of their dignity, their beliefs, and their very humanity. I demand a full and immediate investigation into the practices and staff at this facility. Those responsible for this profound abuse must be held accountable for the harm they inflict... Read more

Recently my brother was admitted here from Cramlington hospital. He had cellulitis, a irregular heart beat and schizophrenia and delirium... The staff had a duty of care towards my brother and should have given him the anti biotic that would of saved his life from cellulitis. Unfortunately he passed away on the 4th of April 2025 aged 53... The staff at st George says he refused to take the antibiotics, but they will pin him down and inject him with medication he didn't want and 2 female staff beat him up he had bruises on different parts of his body. Whilst in their care he wailed out in pain every couple of minutes. They ignored his cries and thought he was nuts. As soon as I become aware that Cramlington hospital sent my brother to st George (he should have been sent home). They then rushed him back to Cramlington hospital but it was too late. I sat for three days listening to his cries of pain while some members of staff were being disrespectful (playing with their hair, watching stuff on their phone listening to music etc) as my beautiful brother lay their dying i felt I died too when he passed away and still wish it was me who had died and not him for he was truly a good honest man wise he was more than a bother to me. He meant the world to me.... Xxxx R.I.P Xxxx... Read more

Report this hospital to get it the staff and training required. This is not a mental health hospital in the slightest. They’re dismissive of people who are suicide risks despite them asking for help, a young girl who had already attempted suicide was turned away being all she had to do was ‘stop’ and she was ‘obviously not suicidal because if she wanted to she would have succeeded’ the whole point of these services is to stop people from attempting so that they DO NOT SUCCEED. What’s the point in having these services if the people they’re helping are already dead due to medical negligence?!? This young girl spent two days in absolute turmoil begging for help, self harming whilst she was being help at this hospital and the only help she was given was ‘stop’ this is the most ridiculous case of medical negligence I have ever heard of in my entire life. The lack of care, interest, professionalism and knowledge on mental health issues is disgustingly and the lack of care shown to this young woman despite being an active suicide risk, homeless and very obviously a danger to herself and other people will result in the preventable deaths of THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE. How can this place still be up and running when they’re not helping people and instead of listening to them they are telling them that they’re not suicidal and don’t need help? REPORT THIS SERVICE IMMEDIATELY... Read more

I asked for help. After my wife hanged herself. And sat with her through coma...severe brain damage. Witnessing seizures... eventually.losing her. . I got upset...asked for help I was in no way going to harm to myself or others. It was just pure grief....a social services GP. Said I looked jaundice. With drink I tried to explain no I've cried for 3 days. It's my wedding anniversary. On leaving the GP.. Police kicked door in. Threatening to do same to my mums and friends.... I was then sectioned in a secure ward under a 28 day notice... That same doctor just would not listen at all... Day 6 of the worst experience in my entire life.. I was interviewed by the top physiologist. She was lovley and she was absaloutly infuriated. And she said to me. YOURE ALOWED TO BE UPSET OVER YOURE WIFE.....she had me removed imeadiatly. Well after a long paperwork process. . Horrific place...especially. when wrongly diagnosed. Oh yeh my liver result came back as Zero. I was not jaundice. I just missed my wife who I loved very much. Now when I do need help.. I will never ask. Complete failure... Read more

If I could give this no stars I would. My friend was in hospital in Cumbria and told her section would be lifted but transferred here the next day and told she'd be in 2 to 3 weeks. The residents present as uncontrolled and about to kick off, so she had to lock herself in her room. Asked for leave to go for Sunday lunch with me on a Thursday, only person who can authorise is consultant who didn't even bother to go and see her on the Friday. They spoke to her like she was a imbecilic child, not an educated grown woman and didn't even know she was vegetarian or her food preferences until after a week, giving her cheese sandwiches for dinner because she was scared to go to the dining room. Absolutey horrendous place and not just because of tory cuts. Badly trained staff who don't seem to care.... Read more

Refused me help when I asked. Blamed me for having a severe mental illness. Call handlers speak to you on the phone in a hostile manner. They end the calls on you when you are trying to get some help. They tell lies on the phone. Call you names. Drag up the past even though I was told not to talk about the past. Basically they are useless but think that they are helpful. The call handlers are unhelpful they just talk over you and say they can't hear you and make things up as they go along. No one runs this place properly.... Read more
