The worst company i ever seen! At the moving date we received an email saying that The landlord decided to choose another tenant at the property without any explanation. From 2 months we waiting for our holding deposit which is almost £300 for 3 person and they didn’t responding. We called to them many times, also emailed them and visited the office and no response. They just don’t care. Last time we was in the office and the manager said and promised that at the afternoon they gonna refund but no one didn’t. Very bad service. I don’t recommend to anyone.

This is the most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with. The properties (internal/external) are not managed or maintained by this company and issues reported are just ignored as they simply do not care. They continuously send out inaccurate information and do not keep tenants informed about what they are doing or new systems they have put in place. All maintenance issues are outstanding or overdue for years at a time and any new issues I have raised have simply been ignored. They have absolutely no regard for the properties, tenants & show up late to appointments with no apology or care in the world for people’s time.

Poor had a viewing booked with them was given the wrong address going all over Maidstone trying to find it and was given no sort of help when phoning them. Poor service will never use them again.

Absolutely horrendous service. Our initial impression of Century21 wasn't a good one at all, our agent (Louis) was 15 minutes late to our first viewing. Despite this, we loved the property and decided we wanted to pursue the tenancy. Once we were told the Landlord was happy to have us as his tenants, we paid a holding deposit and were assured by the agents as well as the referencing company that everything was in place for us to move in on the proposed date.
A week on from this conversation, I happened to have been searching Rightmove, and to my surprise, I found our future flat re-listed on there. I then called the agency to enquire, and they said they were arranging viewings for the following week. I then went to the branch, at which point every employee there (apart from Louis who conveniently wasn’t there) pretended as if they had no idea about the property being re-listed and asked me to wait for Louis to contact me.
Several hours later, Louis called me and confirmed the landlord has decided to not move forward with us, which is completely his right – but the lead up to that and the ‘service’ I received from Century21 was unbelievable.
Next time, tell your tenants before you decide to relist their property and please, please, learn to answer your phone/return calls.

Really bad, never update their rentals, have viewed a room where there had been a person living there for 3 weeks and none of them had been updated, the next property I went to see had been put up for sale, which hadn't been updated either. Just went today to the headquarters in maidstone, saw 3 properties for rent I wanted to see, asked the person inside if they were available. She said it was best to email and make an appointment/viewing, just got a reply saying they have already been rented.
Just don't use this company, would have better chance asking homeless people for a room.

I cannot thank Peter Lott enough. From start to finish he was always on the end of the phone and did everything we could ask for in the sale and purchase of our new home. We had a few problems along the way, both with our buyers solicitor and our vendor who kept changing her mind. I would always recommend century 21 for both sale and purchase.

This is absolutely the worst agency I've ever dealt with! Ignorats!!!
They don't respond to any emails, they ignore phone calls saying someone will contact you but noone never will get back to you.
Completely unprofessional, rude staff.
You ask for help or you need something to be done in rented apartments they're saying it's going to be sorted straight away and then NOTHING happens! Nothing.
I swear they're the worst in town. I've met other agencies and it was a pleasure to experience totally different service.

Tried renting 2 properties from them. always get ignored. never ring back. you have to constantly ring to get anywhere. ive paid a deposit for a flat but do not know when i can move in as they never ring back and pass you from one colleague to another.

Thank you Louis, the branch manager, he has been a saving grace in selling my property, which took 16 months to complete due to incompetent solicitors. He keep his eyes on the ball, moving things forwards consistently. Worth his weight in gold. Out of all local agents, 8 in total who came to view my property, he came trumps, he knew what he was doing and I knew that I could trust him straight away.

The most poorly run estate agents in Maidstone by far enquired about multiple properties in which I had no response, decided to ring the shop to book viewings for the properties I was interested in which I was just told I would be ‘emailed’ the details which no one ever bothered to do. Staff are rude and beyond unorganised none of them can be bothered to help and make you feel like you are hassling them by picking up the phone. Place is awful avoid at all costs. Would rate 0 stars if I could.

Hi Everyone
I viewed a flat at Charles street (2 weeks ago) put a cash offer in. To my amazement this has been sold 5000 less then the offer I put in??? Is this legal legislation to do this? I was told my offer was too low. Yet sold for 5000 less. Cannot get my head around this. Was the vendor informed of my offer, seem not, I'm sure.

I had called the office on 4 separate occasions, as I was very interested in letting a property they had listed. I was told on all occasions I will be emailed with all details requested and I heard nothing.
The last lady I spoke to was very rude and told me there was nothing they could email to me and all of the details are on rightmove. (This was incorrect).
To top it off, I spoke to 1 gent who was very nice and accommodating, however when a viewing was finally arranged, they sent hm to the property with a key that doesn't work.
Such a headache and constant chasing.

First time with this estate agents and if it wernt for Katie Harris and Louis I would of been writing a bad review! They are by far the best too in the office! Katie from the starts has been amazing and has dealt with everything in the best way she could of and has really bent over backwards for myself, if you want to rent a property just ask for Katie or Louis they will help you out and direct you in the right way and do there very best for you! Very polite and professional at there job and personally think they should be in a higher job role! So thanks to them this company are getting a good review even tho my landlord was a nightmare from hell but that’s not the estate agents fault hence the good review!

Following the demise of my mother in November 2017 her property passed to me in her will. The property was in Maidstone, Kent and I live in Basildon, Essex so I required the services of a local estate agents in the Maidstone area to deal will advertising the property, arranging and dealing with viewings and hopefully the completion of the sale.
I chose Century21 at Maidstone as they dealt with the purchase of the property next door some 3/4 years previously. I asked for the same representative Mr Peter Lott to act in this matter. At the initial meetings with Mr Lott every eventuality and conditions were explained to me in a clear, precise and professional manner. which was comforting as the last time I sold a property was 40 years ago and things have changed quite a bit.
I knew exactly what the fees were from the onset and the property was on the websites within 24 hours which was impressive. The portfolio of photos was excellent as well.
I was kept up to date on every occasion of viewings and the results of them which was important as I was not local. I was also impressed by the fact if I e-mailed or phoned Mr Lott he replied the same day with an answer or update to my query.
My mothers house is now sold and all matters have been concluded.
If I intend to buy or sell a house in the next 40 years I would use Century21 in the first instance.

I have to say, I am extremely sceptical of Letting Agents as I have had very mixed experience in the past, however, Century21 Maidstone have been very good. I recieved contracts in good time before I moved in, the staff were friendly and polite. When my tenancy ended, I received my deposit back in good time, and only a small and I think fairly reasonable amount was deducted. Other issues were ironed out within a reasonable timeframe. I have been pleasantly suprised. Well done.

Friendly staff but they never get back to you. I chased them about a property i was interested in renting for 3-4 weeks by calling and going into the office. Was promised a call as soon as the information was obtained, but they never did get back to me. Shame as they had some lovely properties but didn't make me feel valued as a customer.

I recently emailed Century 21 about a property I was keen to rent which was The Old Telephone Exchange in Merstham. I received no reply to my email so called them to enquire a couple of days later. I was told I wouldn’t be able to view it as “Chris wasn’t planning on being in the area anytime soon.” Surely your job as an estate agent is to attend a property to facilitate viewings. Instead I viewed a different property in the area that same day and signed a contract for it. I was in a position to move in within a week. I’ve noticed that this property has been listed for a while and now I realise why. If you are the landlord I suggest you find a new agent...

Horrible customer service! Booked a viewing, came in 10minutes early, nobody came and when I called in to ask what's going on, they said they didn't know anything. I asked so how could this booking have happened at all, and they said unless I can remember the name of the agent I had initially spoken to, they could't helps as they had no records of viewing of the flat. Nice... Not even worth one star

What great service. Peter and his colleagues at Century 21 really pulled out all the stops. Having sold our house really quickly everything seemed to grind to a halt. As these things do! However Peter kept on plugging away at the loose ends at the top and bottom of our chain. Then suddenly we were off! Fantastic and very professional service, he was even there on our moving day. Taking meter readings for us and the new owners. He even dealt with passing over the keys so we could get away to our new home. Really brilliant service. Thank you Peter. Shirley & Michael.

Do not react on your call , email. from there is something wrong, then when I wanted to move created a list for which they told me to pay !! Around £4000 and for those who fault I informed !!

I have my rent with Century21 for about 7 years, never have nothing wrong. They are very helpful every time I have had a complaint to make. No extra fees to renew contract and once I got a really bad situation and I called Louis and explained that I will be late in my rent for a week, and he didn't charged interest for that, even that I have it stated in my agreement of an extra charge if my rent is late. The team are spot on in my opinion. Keep up the great work.
