We are first time landlords. We wanted to rent our home through an agency and considered our options locally in West Cornwall. Laura was helpful from the off initially when we needed an ARLA in writing to obtain a ‘buy to let’ mortgage… so we returned to Miller Countrywide when finishing our project and ready to let.
Alex visited during our renovations and was very positive and supportive to help us achieve our goals for a quick turnaround. When we were ready to let we found Alex and Laura very proactive and always willing to help. Most importantly they weren’t phased by out aims of renting it quickly and supported us amazingly well in finding suitable tenants almost immediately. They worked with our timescale and met our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for more, and now have happy tenants too enjoying the home we worked hard to create for them. All good so far, so thank you to Miller Countywide (Alex and Laura) for their great service and support in renting our house successfully.

Rude and arrogant, told I would have to pay a 700 mortgage fee upfront, when I balked they withdrew the fee. Told I could not view on Saturday cos of negotiators day off. If you don't use thier financialn advisor they will screw you over. Told I was in no position to make an offer, when I own five other properties and a local business. Penzance is the branch I had issues with. Just a rude and arrogant outfit. Totally fee orientated, zero customer service skills.

The quality of the marketing was excellent but the most important thing for me was how well they kept me updated throughout the process, always quick to reply to my enquiries and first to inform me of ongoing situations.

I first met Laura in July 2022 when I visited the office following a recommendation from a close friend who also rents out a property through Miller Countrywide. I wasn’t yet ready to put my apartment on the market, but Laura gave me a lot of information to take away with me. When I was ready to look for a tenant, I went back to see Laura, and the ball started rolling. I also met Alex during my dealings with the company, who has been very helpful throughout.
Laura and Alex have led me through the ins and outs of a first time rental and have been very helpful indeed. Of course there were lessons to learn, but now everything is crystal clear, and thanks to these two professionals, my tenant will be moving in very soon.

Just about to complete on a gorgeous place in Newlyn. I have spent some months looking at various properties, and on occasion it was Rebecca Williams who did the viewing.
She soon realised what sort of place I was interested in and what would suit me.
Months later Rebecca contacted me to ask about my position, as there was a potential place about to come available due to a ‘fall through’.
I had viewed previously and loved it, so jumped at the chance.
I am now about to complete…..
what can I say other than if you are looking to move, whether buy or sell, got to Miller Countrywide and ask for Rebecca. An amazing estate agent, and I can definitely say was the prime factor in getting me my dream place.

Extremely disrespectful and careless agents. We are freezing inside a house with heaters that don’t work. We told them 3 months before winter and they did nothing. Now we are facing the cold with a young child with no dignity inside the house and the agents from Millers simply don’t resolve the problem. Don’t rent a property from these people.

Trying to move from London to Cornwall is not easy, particularly at the moment with demand so high. Millers helped us hugely to secure our current rental, although we couldn't see it as the tenants had covid, so they sent us a virtual video tour, measured up rooms, were responsive and fast to contact the landlord on our behalf. Once secured, they were helpful in organising all the paperwork, giving us timelines and guidance on payments - all in all they couldn't have been better and were totally understanding of our situation.

Can recommend from experience both Sales and Lettings of small residential property with Miller, for both I've found management of communications to be best in class. Using experience with another major UK Letting Agent, the service is good value and a useful range of management service level options are available. In 2021's property market, Agents have been limit-tested, but pre-pandemic service levels seem to have maintained at Miller PZ.

I appointed Miller Country Wide to manage my properties in Penzance, but it was the worse experience in my life. Miller Country Wide do not select tenant professionally, they only think of a quick return. In my case, the agent Courtney took advantage of he position and put one of her friends in my flat that stopped paying rent immediately after 3 months and left the property in complete mess with broken main entrance door.
Michelle the branch manager refuses to deal with any problem claiming that she is busy and the company is short of staff. Michelle got me to sign for sign zero deposit which was not a very good option. I suffered lots losses. Please please do yourself a favour and avoid this agent. It is wildly known in Penzance that this agent is absolutely useless. All landlords end up switching to other agents after having bad experience like myself.

Our experience with Millers Penzance as tenants was excellent. We've recently left one of their properties but the service they provided from when we first enquired about properties with them, to signing a tenancy and eventually leaving was very professional but with the personal touch. The lettings team Courtney and Michelle along with Liv in admin, couldn't do enough for us. They are a lovely team and do a fantastic job. Looking after both the tenants and the landlords. Reported that our house was flooding 2 months ago. Landlady wasn't even informed.
2 months on we are still waiting for work to be done! Water has started coming in again and it stinks of piss! This was reported to them this morning. Someone was meant 2 turn up and hasnt!
They are ignoring my emails and I'm just absolutely disgusted. Especially as they are well aware of the fact we have 2 kids and a 3rd on the way!
Now going through legal action! Not a chance in hell we will ever be going through them again!

I have been appauled at the service from this agency the Penzance. They never get things sorted and they need to be chased constantly. They NEVER call back when they should a d have no idea what is going on regarding repairs and maintenance. The member of staff whom I have been dealing with (L) is hopeless. My landlady ha e notice to terminate her contract with them after them taking 6 months to (not) get a leak sorted. Our deposit should have been returned within 10 days of her contract termination a d we have still not received it almost two months later. This is after numerous phonecalls and emails
I would advise anyone to steer well clear of this agency. Utterly shocking service. As the previous reviewer said I am only giving one star as it is not possible to give zero.
