A predictable continued lack lustre performance from this estate agent forced a much needed change of Agents and approach to selling my parents house. I'm not sure whether it's their arrogance or blatant ignorance, or likely a combination of both, as to what is really needed by discerning customers in today's housing market.

These guys sold my parents house and I actually had them look around and give their price and advice. My parents decided to have them sell the house because of their reputation - which is kind of mixed but suggests they sell well (hard sell) and also because of their I guess relentless self publicity (which isn't a bad thing. They spent most of the appraisal criticizing other Estate Agencies and generally being arrogant. However they priced the property at £330,000 which was pretty much in line with other valuations. Once marketing commenced it seemed to all be about getting any offer and trying to make my parents accept it. The property sold for £300,000 a couple of weeks into the marketing due to the pressure put upon my parents by the Agents. Of course my parents weren't duty bound to accept their advice but they are of course very persuasive people. I just think another Agent would have tried harder for longer to get a more realistic sale price for the property - they just wanted the house off their books!

Never had any communication from them apart from endless emails that were not suitable for what property i was looking for. Most of the properties were emailed again labelled as new in when that is clearly not the case. Spent ages looking for their office to realise they are an online agent. No customer service at all so decided to just come off the mailing list. I prefer to speak to people and have a local office to visit, not very good service at all. They don't even print details, not good for the older generation like myself.

I recently tried to get a valuation on my property by Victoria at the Penzance branch of Miller Countrywide. She repeatedly failed to return my calls having previously promised to so. When i went into the office I found her to be rude, unprofessional and incompetent.

I booked a house viewing with Jessy to view a property in Cornwall. We are cash buyers and do not have a property to sell. We were in Cornwall as my partners mother is seriously ill and we need to get a property to be close to her father. We said we could do it before Monday if need be and if there were other viewings but Monday was easier for us. As it was we were in Cornwall on Thursday anyway visiting my partners mother in hospital. We booked a hotel in the village and were very excited. Jess promised us that even if there were bookings before ours she would wait until our viewing to put any offers in. I reiterated we were happy to come before if need be as we were really keen on the house. Imagine our horror at getting a phone call two days before we set off to say an offer had been made and accepted! Karen who called me was rude and very assertive. We are devastated and had to pay for our room in the hotel even though we are now not going. I would never trust the word of this company which is a shame as we will probably have the misfortune of dealing with them again as we still need to find the right property in our desired village. I had a very strong intuition that the house would be sold at the weekend but foolishly ignored it (never do that!) because I thought I was being paranoid!
