I don't think my husband and I could have received a better experience moving to a new apartment than the one provided by you. Especially Paula, the lettings branch manager who did an absolutely fantastic job in responding to our interest quickly and everything was sorted in no time. Regardless of the Covid situation and only availability of a virtual viewing, the apartment in Cornwall was more than we imagined. Paula was really kind and professional. We can't thank you enough. You made our move absolutely comfortable and enjoyable.

Genuinely untrustworthy, by far the worst letting agent I have ever used. Miller countrywide proved habitually dishonest, deceitful and exhibited illegal conduct before, during and after the duration of my tenancy. I am serious when I wholeheartedly advise any prospective landlord or tenant to choose a different letting agent. For the purpose of this review I have put some of the worst parts of my letting experience with Millers in bullet point form below:
- Lied about rights of access regarding the property when I viewed. When confronted (after I had moved in) instead of apologising or explaining that they themselves were not aware, staff at Millers effectively gas-lighted and claimed to have no knowledge of the conversation.
-Provided a libellous reference. Same member of staff who lied about the rights of access at the property assured me in person I would receive a good reference from Millers after I had received notice. She claimed there was; "no reason I would receive a bad reference" and whilst looking at her computer claimed; "I can see here on your file you've paid rent on time, don't worry you will receive a good reference" I then put Millers as a reference in good faith. Same member of staff then included an extremely defamatory and factually incorrect additional statement on my reference.Something which she did not have the authority to do. She also took it upon herself to leave her office and visit my prospective new letting agent and explicitly told them; "not to rent to them." I am yet to receive an explanation or an apology from said member of staff. This is gross misconduct.
-Dishonest behaviour was habitually covered up by branch manager. Following the receipt of the terrible reference incorrectly provided by the lettings negotiator in branch, I contacted the branch manager to find out what an earth had happened. Branch manager falsely claimed the landlord had provided the comments mentioned, she also falsified the comments made on the reference as she read them to me and claimed she was unable to send me a copy of the reference. (I still hadn't seen it.)
-Staff lied to complaints team and claimed they did not have a copy of the reference, after I had made a data select request. I made a data select request as I needed to actually see what had been said and by who as it had become apparent a libellous comment had been made. Staff at Millers in st Autsell claimed they did not have a copy, which i knew was a lie. After a few months they eventually sent me a copy of the reference.
-Complaints manager claimed the libellous comment on the reference has been formally withdrawn. This is incorrect. I have been told explicitly by complaints manager that the lettings negotiator who provided the additional libellous comments to my reference has retracted her comments. I have spoken with the other letting agent who have confirmed this is a lie also.
-Lied to the landlord about the reference. After unexpectedly receiving a terrible reference from Millers I subsequently found it very difficult to find new accommodation. I liaised with a homelessness prevention officer as my situation was so dire and she kindly offered to try and negotiate a small extension to my notice, to give me time to find new accommodation. Member of staff at Millers (same one) claimed the landlord had said no. Spoke with the landlord direct and he claimed he had no knowledge of the libellous comments provided or that I had been liaising with a homelessness prevention officer. Later that day, an extension to my tenancy was successfully negotiated. (by a Countrywide member of staff unaffiliated with the st austell branch).
- Attempted to withhold around £400 of my deposit claiming there was "rent arrears" from my tenancy.This was incorrect and was confirmed by the landlord as he had already provided a written statement confirming he was happy for the deposit to be returned in full. Deposit was eventually returned in full after pestering them for 6 weeks.
- Mentioned member of staff still works in branch...

Rented with Miller couple of years ago. Upfront they were easy to deal with however it was at the end of tenancy the problems started. Here we are nearly two years later and I am still being lied to by them. They tell lies after lies and have no regard for their customers and now as it turns out their landlords either. He has recently been in touch with me and told me his own tale of woe. You'll get told a story one week then when the lies get found out you will get spun a different tale until those fabrications come falling down around them. My advice would be to avoid at all costs.

What a lovely, professional and helpful team! I chose to sell my home with Miller Countrywide based on my meeting with Steph who came across really friendly, honest and down to earth when showing me round a house I was interested in, before I'd put mine on the market. I definitely made the right decision - Steph, Lee, Luke and Finn have all put so much effort in with viewings and ensuring I was kept up to date. Appointments were agreed by phone as well as being confirmed in email and text message and I received a call giving me feedback promptly after each viewing. You really took the stress out of selling my home, thank you!

Poor service, high rental charges with no service. In 12 months had only one visit conducted. On leaving the property they failed to contact us to allow us to be there during the check out viewing. Since terminating our tenancy still not had our deposit returned (3 months later) despite the landlord giving no reason not to return it to us.
We recently had an email asking us to pay an outstanding bill for the three months before our tenancy started - as this has gone to a debt agency. Shambles - do not rent from them.

Absolutley disgusting fees being charged, £622 in admin, referencing, check in and tenancy set up costs will ensure I never rent a property from these people. Compared to other estate agents who offer fees to potential tenants of £300 or less it just shows the type of company they are. Utter thieves! It is an absolute shame aswell because a house they had on the market to rent is one we wanted, hopefully landlords will become aware of the ludicrous set up they have and will choose a more suitable agent who chooses not to extort potential tenants. All I can say is enjoy the lettings fee ban coming into place.

A courteous, friendly and helpful service, although inter-office communication seemed to be a problem at times. Our posting and subsequent sale was handled pretty efficiently using their recommended solicitors but I do think the agents costs could have been a little more competitive relative to other local agents. All in all we have been very happy with the process and outcome.
