I would like to express my concerns regarding a particular aspect of my interaction with this agency. I recently inquired about viewing a property through your Loughborough branch. During this process, I was informed that a UK-based guarantor would be required. It is essential for letting agencies to uphold fair and inclusive practices in today's diverse and multicultural society. I felt that it was being applied in a way that was discriminatory, particularly with regard to the issue of accents. It is my belief that everyone should be treated with respect, irrespective of their nationality or accent. It is crucial that agencies like yours promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, especially considering the diverse population of Loughborough and the United Kingdom as a whole. I kindly request that you review your policies and practices regarding guarantors and ensure that they are applied fairly to all prospective tenants. This could include exploring alternative options for those who may not have access to a UK-based guarantor but are otherwise qualified tenants. Never too late to leave a review… Terral and his team looked after us in a professional and friendly way from the initial contact to the end of our house sale.. It’s always a stressful situation selling or buying but with good people who actually care about you… yes.. they do …then you’re on to a winner with Moore and York… Yes, there are lots of estate agents looking for business, costs may be an issue for you …….but if you want good service, stress free ( we’ll as much as you can with a house move ) then call them, email them or just pop in.. you won’t be disappointed ??... In brief, there's complete lack of communication (not answering phones, not returning calls), hidden fees and lack of clarity throughout. I'd recommend you avoid them and pick another agent... Having had Loughborough's Moore&York deal with the sale of our previous property, we had no hesitation to use them again both for the sale and the subsequent replacement of our current property. Valuations also have been spot on. Viewings were arranged at short notice and ample time allowed to make decisions. Impartial advice was always at hand whenever needed. Sale negotiations and follow'ups were conducted with the greatest care and professionalism. If there is a challenge to be addressed, you need look no further. Happy to recommend them any time. Freinds of ours also used their services and were equally satisfied. I rented a property and halfway through the tenancy contract Moore and York took over. At the end when I did not renew the tenancy, I was told I would forfeit the deposit because I had worn out the carpets that had not been renewed for 7yrs when I had lived there for the last 3yrs of the 7yrs. I had to go through Shelter to get my deposit of over a thousand back. I have never had problems with the previous landlords as Iam always house proud and look after my home. See previous negative reviews for the exact experience you'll actually recieve in any long term rental with this estate agents. Anyone leaving a 5 star review has clearly been dealing with a completely different side of this company that we never saw. Any work carried out was months or years late after the issue was reported and we were constantly fought over these issues being cosmetic when they were impacting the entire living situation we had. The door replacement (a year late, old door was rotting off the hinges) was botched and eventually we just couldn't close or lock our front door, it took repeated emails to the owner of the company to get anything done about this and it still took far longer than it should have. We also ended up paying for our neighbours water and council tax bills, something that was not discussed at all at the time of our rental, nor in our contract. The practices done were shady, and showed definite favoritism towards other clients for whatever reason. Avoid or raise these known issues with them and see what they have to say, as they fired their only decent employee during the time we were letting with them (or she left, in which i don't blame her!)... We contacted this company in respect of both selling our property and buying a new property. I don't think in todays world being rude, unprofessional and difficult is the way to run a business. Hopefully we won't have to use them again. In REPLY to owners misrepresented comments The sales manager was extremely rude. Jason did not witness these calls. Moore and York offered 3 times slots on the same day on Wednesday (in two weeks time), refused an evening viewing for any day because staff only work till 5pm clearly. They didn't send the details after they were approved, in fact a friend of mine highlighted the property was listed on Rightmove before the person in question emailed the details through. We asked for pictures or where the house was located more than a week earlier so we could confirm interest or not waste anybodies time. Yes I did put the phone down (really hard to slam a mobile) on Jason having had days of arrogance from his office manager and I couldn't be bothered to listen to his pathetic excuses. His office manager had explained that she wasn't bothered about our experience and that we might add a review. We phoned on no less than 6 occasions and she fobbed us off that she would send details later that today or the next morning. Lost count of the emails and YES I did say she was as useful as a chocolate fireguard!! At least Jason got half his facts right. In the end we have simply had to contact seller directly. I have sold 5 houses in as many years, never have I experienced such a poor service.... Read more

I rented from Moore and York for 1 year from July 2016-17. From the moment me and my partner called the office their team was friendly and they always answered and got back to me in a timely manner. I always dealt with Rebecca. Thier fees were extremely cheap and the paperwork was easy and before we knew it we had our home. When it came to repairs ect they got everything done. It wasn't always quick but this is down to how quick your landlord speaks to them and organises the work so they can't really be blamed for that. Our landlord always took his time to find bargains! Paying the rent was easy from my online banking. i once missed a rent payment due to Xmas and being paid early and they allowed me to pay instalments I found this very helpful and I was never made to feel a way about it. Rebecca was always on time and actually felt more like a friend than my letting agent. They should give her a raise because she is a breath of fresh air. She done my inventory with me there and sorted out my TDS ASAP! They a good company and this is my personal experience. I would use and recommend them... Read more

Was meant to arrange a viewing for a property this weekend. The agent replied once every two/three days. Finally asking if I can come to view the property on a Sunday, I confirmed I can (on Friday) and got no response. Passed by the property on Sunday afternoon, nobody there, with no reply since. I am very thankful for their unprofesional service even for a viewing, for it prevented me from ever looking at their agency again.... Read more
