Absolutely terrible service. Seem unclear on what they can and can't charge for (they want to charge for everything even when the law prohibits them from doing so), slow to resolve issues with our tenancy, generally seem to not have a clue what they are doing. Estate agents are usually bad, these guys are even worse.... Read more

They were professional when getting me to sign up for a lease. But it was downhill from there. The apartment’s boiler kept leaking and the back up immersion boiler hardly worked. I called numerous times and all their maintenance guy did was touch it up so that it worked for a short period before breaking again. When I decided to move out I paid a company to have a cleaner come in and clean the apartment as well as paying for the curtains to be dry cleaned. On inventory day the bloke who was doing it decided that the oven wasn’t in mint condition, it’s like he doesn’t know what wear and tear is and that I was living there for almost 4 years. The issue was some markings on the oven glass which was difficult to remove due to years of use. They partially refund my deposit because they stated they needed to get in their cleaners to clean the place even though it was cleaned spotless which I proved with receipts all because of the oven. All other inventory checks were ok but somehow they needed to spend over £100 to get it recleaned. Scam artists to keep more deposit money! The only consistency this agent has is raising the prices every year but they will say it is the landlord raising the prices when of course they advise the landlords to raise the rent as they get a bigger cut for managing the property. Glad I’m out their clutches and have my own property.... Read more

Shame - service became poor once offer agreed. Failed to ensure flat was in suitable condition before move and double charged an administrative fee, which they refused to refund. Won’t be using again.... Read more

When I moved abroad some 20 years ago, I made the decision to lease out my flat through Oliver Field. My experience with them has been so good since then that I have never needed to consider other letting agencies nor, indeed, have I ever considered selling. Despite some bumps in the road, thanks to the efficient, committed and personable staff, I have managed to keep the property consistently rented to very decent tenants. As a result of their thorough vetting procedures and fair dealings with all parties, my tenants have typically been very happy and have stayed for extended periods. I would like in particular to give a shout out to Nadia and Vivien, who have been with the agency for many years and who have helped me enormously when it comes to ironing out any issues that may crop up. On a recent changeover, for example, Nadia proved herself to be very knowledgable and went above and beyond in ensuring that my new tenant was comfortably settled, despite some problems arising which were beyond his control. It is this kind of personal attention and commitment to ensuring that all parties are happy that has kept me as a contented client of Oliver Field for over 20 years.... Read more
