Me and my family were in a uncomfortable and complex situation trying to find a house with a tight deadline. We were in touch with other agents but we know how many times we are just a number for them, but Sam was the only agent who gave the right attention to our case trying to do his best to understand our needs and offer the best possibilities. Hands down the best agency in London. Even though I was looking for a place to rent from another country, the process was smooth and communication was clear. Special mention to Sam! Simon Humm from Hamptons Blackheath was condescending and dismissive when he came to value our flat. He gave a ridiculously-low valuation telling us that the decorations looked old-fashioned and would put buyers off.
Fortunately we went with another local agent who sold our property for significantly more than Hampton's valuation and after only 6 weeks.
Be careful of agents giving suspiciously low valuations. It can be a sign that they want to buy the property cheaply either for themselves or for one of their associates. I've heard this is a common trick, often targeted at the elderly and vulnerable.

Very pushy when we put an offer on a flat initially. The agent lied and told me we would receive the security deposit back if we decided to pull out (naive of me I know, but was still deceptive behaviour to push the transaction through from them).

The market is slow so there’s not much interest but there’s a lack of client management and communication. Agents here just pretty much sit around for the call. When the market is slow they don’t really do anything to push things along. This is not just Hamptons but more an observation of real estate agents in general.

Applied twice for a viewing for a £1+million property in Catford (...) plus filling out a 10min questionnaire taking -unnecessarily- lots of our personal details. Not even a response. Must be very busy? ps: we only consider properties we can afford LOL
