Recently purchased my property through Comber & Co. and I couldn't recommend them enough. The experience you have with them compared to the chains is night and day. They have deep local knowledge, keeping their finger on the pulse on even properties they're not dealing with; which is refreshing - having dealt with other local estate agents that have very little local knowledge or passion for what they do. William is a class act and not pushy, he is respectful and professional.

Suzanne and Dawn have taken such good care of me as estate agents over the last 4 years. I have rented two different properties from them. It has been an amazing time renting a flat with Comber & Co. I rented a flat with them for 6 months and have moved out a few months ago. The staff are professional, efficient and extremely kind people. The flat that I rented was from the Victorian age and understandably had some small glitches. Staffs at Comber & Co (Dawn, Debby, Susan) were extremely helpful in fixing problems - they replaced the old fridge with a new one and helped me get comfortable settling in the flat. During my stay, they were always there when I had any problem. Towards my checking out, they were tremendously helpful in advising and helping me getting rid of my second-hand furniture, e.g. providing contacts for local charities. They went above and beyond as a renting agency, making the renting experience very enjoyable throughout. I cannot recommend Comber & Co enough.

Lettings agent who overcharge tenants for leases and deposit deductions which are now considered illegal. The new legislation will thankfully stop companies like this from ripping off tenants. I was excessively charged for chemical carpet cleaning without negotiation, for a tiny stain, which, as a landlord myself, I would not charge for. I paid for an end of tenancy cleaning service and they still charged me an excessive amount for another cleaner due to hardwater build-up on a tap which was there when I moved in, which they denied.
No negotiation, just deductions, which wouldn't be allowed now.

Honestly, the best renting experience I have had. Even after leaving the UK they were incredibly helpful recovering, scanning and sending my letters to me even a month after I was long gone. They do the extra mile which is something very rare nowadays in London.
I'd give 6 stars out of 5 if I could.

After the completion, they even gave us some recommendations on heating engineer, electrician and handy man so we have somewhere to start with. Overall, we are very pleased and grateful to have met someone like Jeremy and William!

Outstanding service. They managed my house rental for twelve years, and while tenants came and went, the property was vacant for only a few weeks in total. One bad apple was evicted quickly and without any fuss. Then they sold the house for me, and again were thoroughly professional.

I have known the staff at Comber and Co since 2014 when after buying a house I also decided to let a flat. Since then I have always used Comber to look after my rental properties as in fact I have always found them more approachable and helpful and have been extremely satisfied with their service and general professionalism and philosophy. One of the tenants chosen by Dawn stayed 8 years in my Parkside flat and the shortest rental period I have ever had has been 4 years. They have always been courteous, helpful in all ways and even helped out in emergency situations without remuneration and also once agreement completed. Have been of good advice in buying, where to best buy around SE3, honest and impartial. Their service has made real estate experience a pleasure rather than as often happens a pain. I have little way of comparison, but would recommend the Staff at Comber to anyone who is buying or selling in this area as being truthful reliable of very good value and giving that extra that makes a big difference.

If you are landlord looking to rent your property or a tenant looking to move in, I cannot recommend Comber more highly.
I have been with this company as a landlord for over ten years and would not dream of changing. Why?...well, apart from a great personal service from a well organised flexible team who go out of their way to accommodate my every need regarding my rental property fast and efficiently, they also have no renewal fee unlike many other companies I could mention. Their fees are the lowest I have found and with no hidden charges. I pay a one off fee when the tenants move in and that is it.
Have a look round if you must, but you will not find better!
Well done Comber and thank you for your great service and support over the years.

Do not rent from these. Very rude staff, our landlord actually worked for comber and co too and we had nothing but issues whilst in one of their property, from things breaking repeatedly from being done so cheaply, to being told the garden would be done by the end of March, we moved in on 3rd march and the garden wasn't usable until July when they finally did it but even then turned it into a big cat litter box of shingle after we informed them this would not be suitable with the amount of cats in the area, the membrane was still showing, the grass grew through the membrane, the garden step was broken slabs chucked together, again we was told this would be sorted and never was, we could not use the garden at all! You get charged £95 to check out!! They very slighly put this in your contract without putting the actually amount so often gets unnoticed, never have I heard of a check out fee, and one of that amount is ridiculous. Our checkout report wasn't completed until the day after we left the property and the new tenants had already moved in so their check out report was totally unacceptable and yet they still charged us for further cleaning to be done. The property was not professionally cleaned before we moved in, I had to scrub it myself, we left the house in a much better state than what we moved into and yet they still demanded money out of our deposit. We had the carpets professionally cleaned and gave them a receipt for this and yet they were trying to tell me they hadn't been cleaned, ridiculous! Very rude money grabbing staff, they will try get as much money out of you as possible for no valid reasons. Will never recommend these to anyone.
