Any questions were answered with a lot of guidance, expertise and I was given great advice around areas I was unsure of, and lots of additional help where my solicitor wouldn't answer. As anyone knows, things can drag on, so it was always a pleasure to be met by cheerful and uplifting staff when waiting on hold ups through the chain.
Everyone was professional, prompt, and pushed when others held up the chain, I feel like you couldn't ask for more when you know someone is doing their best and helping to chase regularly and keep things moving. It was much appreciated and I'd recommend them to anyone.

We have had the best experience of customer care with Amber. I would recommend Richard Kendall everyday of the week. Our home had the most beautiful photos/video taken by Richard Kendall’s, from the beginning we have been so impressed! We have been kept up to date every week since our house went on the market back in June. Amber went above and beyond to get updates from the rest of the chain/solicitors. Many people dread the house moving process but I can honestly say, it hasn’t been half as stressful as we thought and that is mainly down to Amber for always keeping us in the loop. I had a really positive experience with Richard Kendall Pontefract/Castleford while selling our home and purchasing a new one. Richard Kendall’s service felt personal and considerate which was the polar opposite of our experience with a large chain brand in Castleford previously. They answer the phone every time it rings, which is something you take for granted until you experience an estate agent that isn’t available when you need them. If our required contact wasn’t available, we would always have someone else to speak to and messages were always passed on swiftly. The sale and purchase went through so quickly (within 8 weeks) with second to none communication throughout. Following our sale/purchase we had some unfortunate after sale issues (unrelated to the service Richard Kendall provided) that required communication with Richard Kendall in Wakefield, again, I was treated with respect and professionalism to resolve the issue quickly. I would use Richard Kendall for any future moves without hesitation! My advice to anyone else buying or selling a property, it’s definitely worth using a local company versus the larger chains.

From the start of our house move journey everything was going to plan and very smoothly and we had a buyer with in 48 hours of putting our house on the market, Sophie would continuously keep me updated and was on hand to answer any questions that we had. In the middle of January we had some very sad news that we had lost our baby and I had to have a life saving operation. The week of my return home from hospital we had to make a decision to move out of our property as there was some complications with one of the sellers in the chain and if we didn’t move then the whole chain was about to collapse. From the bottom of our hearts we are truly grateful for how Sophie dealt with the whole situation, she took over everything for us and really took the pressure and stress away from us allowing us to grieve our loss and focus on my recovery. I am usually the one who would deal with these situations but due to been very unwell my partner had to take over, Sophie explained everything to him and reassured him and went above and beyond for us both. If we hadn’t of received the amazing service and care that we did I don’t think we would be moving into our new home with the situation that we are in because that would have been too much to handle on our own. Thank you so much Richard Kendall , Sophie you have been amazing and you are an asset to the company. I really do hope that this reaches your manager and you get the recognition that you deserve.

I think the team was helpful but perhaps not clear with how the auction process wold work out. The pricing to begin with was incorrect, the pricing for auction was unrealistic and it meant an inordinate delay in getting the sale process completed. A little more open and forthright approach would help the client make an informed decision better.

Having emailed the agents to arrange a property viewing I had to contact them to get the ball rolling .Made arrangements to see the property at 09.30hrs at 9.45hrs when there was a no show from the agent we received a call from the office stating that they were late due to traffic . We arrived at 9.15hrs no traffic and no delays so not sure where the agent was coming from .Good business demands that the agents should plan to arrive in advance to open/air the property and be there to greet prospective buyers, not keep them waiting without explanation. Makes me think overall treatment as a buyer indicates how they would manage sale of my property therefore I am reluctant to employ their services . Punctuality is key and feedback is constructive.

If there was an option to not give any stars I would! In my experience Richard Kendall are very unprofessional! I phoned them on Thursday 8th October and spoke to a female member of staff regarding a house viewing, I was told that we couldn’t view it as the vendor was not seeing anyone until after the 11th October, I noticed today 10th October that the house was no longer available so naturally I rang for some information, I was told the house had sold, when I said that I was told we couldn’t view it until after the 11th She proceeded to say I must have spoken someone who had since left the business referring to a male member of staff and he had not taken my details, I then corrected her as the member of staff I had spoken to was a female and her response was ‘oh well nobody here remembers, so they didn’t take your details and the house is now sold!’ (She again ignored the fact that I was told there were no viewers until after 11th hmm)

Unfortunately I sold my property through Richard Kendall and I really regret choosing them. They did absolutely nothing productive to help sell it. Weeks and weeks and not one person viewed the property. The only reason I got a viewing was because I did a house swap in the end and we went to view his first and so he came to see ours! Every time they contacted me to update me on things they were always giving me out of date information. Also they keep calling and asking me to pay extra to advertise in magazine making me feel uncomfortable!! My parents also put their property up with these and it’s been on the market for over 4 months and haven’t had one viewing still! They have been told to reduce the price twice and keep being asked to pay for extra advertising with them as that’s their only solution. Their fees are a waste of money in my opinion and I would never use again!

Unhelpful patronising staff just tell you to sort stuff yourself. Asking me to change batteries in fire alarm while heavily pregnant. No advise on outside lights. If something breaks on weekend e.g bath/ shower they don't send anyone out till mid week had to stay at family's homes and same with heating with young children in house absolute joke.

1 star is only because I have too, to leave a review of these money grabbing unfair horrible c**ts. All they care about is getting the most money out of you for the landlords they represent. To which they cut corners and dont even have a independent reviews to make sure everything is done fairly for both parties. Do not trust them in any way, it will be a big mistake just like I have learnt myself.
