We used Slades for both the sale of our house and purchase of our new house. Being part of a chain meant there were ups and downs which were sometimes beyond our control. Dale was there for us the entire way, he helped guide us through the process and was consistently true to his word.
He constantly kept us informed of where we were at in the process, what was required from us and when.

During a very long sales process (due to lower chain in-action), Dale and his team kept in contact and worked very hard at moving the sales process along. The personal service, often lost today, was most welcome.
Slades have a great depth of knowledge of the Carpenders Park and South Oxhey housing market, which allows them to market your property at a realistic price, which in turns leads to a successful outcome. They have a very high completion rate. They are able and are very willing to give advice on how to market, present and promote your property. A local, long establish firm, working in the local area giving very good results.

We bought and sold our houses through Slades and did completion on both properties three weeks back. We are extremely happy with the service from Slades.
Dale was helping and guiding us throughout the process and has been fantastic. All the staff in the office have been great, very polite and professional and conveying the messages in timely manner. Dale had really helped us out towards the end of the process liaising with all parties involved, including solicitors to ensure that we can get completion done on time. On the day of the move, although it was Dale’s day off, he still came to the house to check that we have moved in as planned and everything was ok.

We were looking at buying somewhere in the Carpenders Park area as both need to get to London for work. Went to Slades as they’d been recommended as best in the area. We couldn’t fault them. They listened to what we wanted and were so helpful during the viewings. Have just completed on my property I sold through Slades (as the sole agent). I found Dale and his small team to be efficient, professional and supportive.
Dale himself is knowledgeable, open and honest. I appreciated his sincerity and frankness. No false promises with inflated valuations in order to entice sellers initially, only to lower expectations afterwards.

Dale and company have evoked very polarised reviews. He sells the most properties on the estate and has the only agents office on the estate. I have found them to be professional, efficient and successful. He spent time discussing the valuation with me and was on par with the other agents I contacted. He listened and agreed with our circumstances to place the property on the market at slightly less than he felt could potentially be obtained but still at a good price.
He found my buyer very quickly, negotiated and increased his offer, authenticated the buyers information and invested time taking him around the property multiple times after the offer was accepted.
Before placing with Dale I challenged him on his reviews. He is forthright and unapologetic for the service he provides.
He works for the seller/ lettor and as such his duty is to them.
As such he will challenge information provided to ensure his clients interest. This can cause upset if someone is exaggerating.
I would recommend Dale and Co to any seller who wants a good outcome and any buyer who can prove there position and is willing to pay market value.

I would highly recommend Slades estate agents. I had trouble selling my house due to devious buyers trying to drop the sale price near to completion date for no reason but greed. I would’ve sold and lost a lot of money. Thanks to the knowledge of Dale Reynolds and his professionalism, I took his advice and held on. He is an approachable man that is fantastic at his job and found me a new buyer in less than 2 weeks and at £10,000 above the asking price!
His staff are very helpful and I would thoroughly recommend this estate agent.

Told us what to offer on a property. Provided all our details, AIP and EA details. Never called our EA to confirm our 1 person chain was progressing quickly and smoothly. Was told there was a 5k higher offer the next day. We upped our offer and we were faced with a very rude response and was asked how can we afford to up our bid!!! Went to final bids and we pulled out as we felt we were being played at this point and could no longer trust them.

Our house was sold in a short time frame which was due to the buoyant market post COVID and being underpriced . We felt we could have got a better price (doesn’t every one) but the agent had a price set he felt was correct, the same as 3 years ago which we question however it contributed to the quick sale. Negotiations were done initially with the buyer by the agent, however all communication after that was between us and the buyer directly as the agent did not get involved only to check progress.

These guys are utterly brilliant! I've just exchanged on my house...sold it for 27K more than any of the other estate agents said i would get. Slades recognised the potential of the land at the side and suggested I market my bungalow at a £25,000 more than than the other estate agents advised.
Because they are local, they know the area and the development opportunities, and could talk knowledgeably with prospective buyers. Even in a falling market, Slades managed to snag an offer, and after that fell through, another in short succession. The buyers' solicitors took forever to get things sorted and Slades held my shaking, nervous hand throughout the entire summer. In the end they wrote some rather fierce emails to my buyer to get things moving and then provided constant reassurance during the tense two weeks that followed, resulting in the exchanged contracts today.
I would recommend them without reservation. Their's was a fixed fee so the extra money didn't mean anything to them. Their entire focus was on making me happy. They were never to busy to stop and have a chat with me when i popped into the office, or provide an email or phone update.
If they ever read this, I would like to say a big public Thank You for their sterling service.
