They took care of everything, from the survey to marketing, viewing and sale, with attention to every detail. Sometimes, it's worth going to the right place, to make something easier, smoother - and not have to worry about things. And this is exactly why I chose to sell my house through Slater Hogg. Selling my mother's house was always going to be a hard task emotionally, but throw in the distance from where I live, and the pandemic, and I knew this wasn't something that I would want to attempt on my own. From the initial phone call where I was just enquiring about the state of the market through to the final phone call a few weeks later to say the house had sold, the entire process was simple, friendly, efficient and always something I felt I had control of. A large part of my worry about handing the entire sale - including showing people around the house - to someone else is that I didn't want to be forced into making decisions that they wanted rather than I wanted. Fortunatley, the Bearsden branch of Slater Hogg have an approach that is incredibly friendly, warm and understanding of their client's situation. From calling into the office, to 'on-site' calls to the sales representative, I always knew what was happening. The marketing advice, when to put it on the market, even the state to leave the house in in order to attract the most viewings was absolutely spot on - and the house sold within a week of being on the market at the right price. I'm sure if I had done this on my own, it would have taken a much larger toll on my time and my concentration - so I'm very pleased that I made the decision not only to let an agent look after the sale, but more importantly, that I chose Slater Hogg to look after it for me. There's a cheap way, and there's a right way. I'm glad I chose the right way, the Slater Hogg way.... Read more
