After looking for a house in the mid and north Essex areas for months, I cannot express my delight at meeting Lydia from Strutt & Parker, and then subsequently Sharnie. Lydia immediately forged a relationship that was warm and trusting. There was no hard sell, she was just open and curious about what would be right for us. The house we were viewing involved more work than we had originally wanted to do, and I was struck by how responsive and informative Lydia was about our many initial questions subsequent to our viewing. She made it easy for us to decide what was best for us. We ended up having our offer accepted and Lydia and Sharnie were helpful and quick to respond throughout the process, conducting themselves with a professionalism that took much of the stress of buying out of the equation. Didn't want to give this so called brilliant estate agents a one star they do not deserve it after the way we have been treated the past 3 years we have been renting from them.
My first point is you ring the office for some help if there is a problems and you get told they will give you a ring back but you wait and wait and still no call back.
We had a problem with the flooring in our kitchen and got told they would sort it when someone finally came out to have a look he was very surprised and said it was asbestos in the kitchen flooring when they finally decided to address this issue and get new flooring it was 9 months later walking on asbestos in my kitchen.
We also asked to get someone to have a look at the bathroom due to there being thick black mould accumulating on our bathroom ceiling when we asked about this we where told to wipe it with bleach and water NOT ACCEPTABLE.
And to top of this matter we are now being evicted after being there 3 years but have also heard that we are not the only people this has happened to due to 3 other families have been evicted aswell from these houses they are renting to people
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
how this company is still running I will never know no respect for tenants atall

I found John Seward from Strutt and Parker to be an exceptional estate agent. Right from the get go he listened to what we were after and kept an eye out for us. He would check in regularly to see if we were still looking, but not in an annoying way, more to keep us informed of the market and he always remembered everything I told him so I never had to repeat myself. He then found an ideal house for us and due to his network and relationships we were able to view it and put in an offer before it went on Rightmove. Throughout the move he was friendly, informative, always available and went above and beyond to help us. He made sure the whole process was smooth and if there were any bumps or delays he kept everyone informed with great communication. Without doubt I would recommend Strutt and Parker and especially John.

It's like dealing with stroppy teenagers. The lettings director is a immature, narcissistic child, who throws her toys out the pram when asked to provide customer service. They believe they're involved in a one way agreement where only their tenants are expected to give up their time for repeated visits where nothing is ever fixed.

In a period when the UK housing market changed beyond recognition Strutt & Parker worked with us in partnership to get the house sold.
Valuation: While the valuation was not the highest among the agents we consulted we realised that Strutt & Parker’s was the most realistic and ultimately proved to be spot on.
Marketing: The marketing brochure was strong and professional and the process to put it together was simple. We felt that the house was presented in the best possible way and while other agents look for an up-front marketing fee Strutt & Parker offered it within the cost of the service.
Communication: John Seward (as lead agent in our case) has been excellent at keeping us up to date throughout and handled all of the admin and queries personally. The house sale was managed as a partnership with us and John’s experience guided what I think were some good decisions. The rest of the team were similarly supportive in his absence.
Issue management: There were a few small blocks in the road but these were handled diplomatically and with common sense in order to get us to exchange.
Overall the selling experience with Strutt & Parker has been a good one and I would recommend them.

Total dis-regard for public saftey by a male staff member in a white car when turning into their car park at 7.15 this morning. I was on a scooter and he overtook me at the last second to turn in. Nearly an accident. When confronted the staff member said he indicated and offered no apology. Not acceptable!

We recently moved house which was supported by Stephen at Strutt and Parker for both our sale and purchase.
Stephen is the model Estate Agent that all agents should be aiming towards. He understood our needs, worked with us to find a suitable purchaser than found our dream home for us before it hit the market.
As with all house moves, there are always obstacles. Nothing was ever a problem for Stephen even when the process was becoming particularly stressful. We spoke on a near every day basis and worked together to progress things. He was always focused on getting the right outcome for all involved which he did.
We will always be grateful for everything Stephen did for us to secure our dream home and will have no hesitation in working with him again on our next move.

Initially marketed our house before Covid struck but then the market went quiet so decided to take it off and wait for more a more conducive environment. Stephen at Strutt & Parker Chelmsford always had us in mind and approached us whilst the market was quiet to ask if they could show to a family that were interested in moving to the area - the viewing was arranged and the deal was done shortly after.
It wasn't all plain sailing as we then needed to find a property. When we did there were many hold ups due to it being an old listed property but Stephen kept us in touch with every detail of the chain below and fully appreciated our issues so fielded a lot of frustration from the chain that was aimed our way due to the many issues that arose with the survey.
Very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Can't recommend them highly enough.

John’s client, he was responsive, efficient and pragmatic at all points during the process. We had a fairly long chain, with the usual troubles that that brings, and I think John’s persistence and determination is one of the main reasons the whole thing held together and completed. We sold our house through Strutt & Parker. Due to Covid restrictions we conducted the viewings ourselves which saved the agent time, but was not reflected in commission charged, and initially we felt that communication could have been better; it improved when it was agreed that we would deal solely with one member of staff. Where Strutt & Parker excelled was in following up the chain both above and below us once we had accepted an offer. The whole process to completion took over 5 months and would have been even more stressful without John Seward's dogged determination to keep things on track. Communication in this context was very good.

I have never dealt with a worse Estate agent before i emailed Jenny about a property and was booked in with a viewing for 10am i went to view the property and then called up to put a offer in to be told someone "beat me to it" i asked how that was possible and was told because someone who viewed it at half 9 called straight away and took the property and its on a first come first service which was not stated once or i wouldn't of even gone to my viewing also the fact that i travelled over 40 minutes to view a property which was taken off the market half hour before my appointment and i was not called to be told not to come or nothing and they allowed me to view the property knowing i wouldn't be able to accept it i called to ask a manager to call me back as was not happy and that obviously didnt happen awful service wasted my time and appalling how they work it with a first come first when they have other viewings available on the same day!!!!

Slow to respond, constantly having to chase for a rental, rude staff..peter Mason. There was no way I could continue to offer £2000 per month rental with this poor attitude and delayed responses to emails and calls. Wouldn’t recommend for tenants or landlords. I’ve only being enquiring for over a month. Just one big failure. As backed up my another review. Disappointed and wouldn’t recommend
