I have just bought my first house through your move and they made the whole experience a breeze all while keeping it exciting! Buying my first house at 22 proved quite difficult at first when other estate agents would speak to my parents rather than me or not take me seriously. This completely changed from the minute I viewed my property with YourMove. The man that showed us round was lovely and made lovely suggestions and gave loads of ideas for the property which was brilliant to hear as a first time buyer with zero experience. I spoke to Sharon the most who just made my experience the best and made me feel so comfortable no matter how stupid the questions were! Sharon is such a lovely lady both work wise and to generally chat to and nothing is ever too much to ask. She is absolutely amazing at her job and can’t fault her on anything at all. She consistently kept me up to date on everything that was happening even sending emails while I was at work when I couldn’t answer my phone which was lovely for her to go above and beyond. She made me feel so comfortable and confident throughout the whole experience and I am so thankful to her and will forever remember everything she has done for me. Everyone else I have spoken to at your move including allyson were lovely and again nothing was too much to ask. They were all very kind and chatty and just such a lovely team of people that I cannot pick a fault with at all. Thankyou so much to the whole team for everything. I instructed Your Move some 6 weeks ago to market my property. The best decision i could have made, from the outset they have been professional, super efficient, polite and most importantly honest and helpful at each stage of the sale. My journey began with them after an initial meeting with Hannah Irvin who expertly outlined the services on offer and the processes that would follow in a manner that was easily understood using terminology that wasn't confusing in any way. Hannah went on to arrange a valuation by Associate Director Daid James. David arrived on time and was the consummate professional from the outset. Fully explaining the processes such a research, comparisons etc of how the valuation was reached and was i happy with it. I was and it proved correct because within 4 weeks a recieved an acceptable offer which means my property is sold STC. I was kept informed by the team in the office at every stage. I had a very bad experience with this estate agency, especially their Darlington branch. I would never recommend them—neither as a landlord nor as a tenant. I won’t go into specific details or name anyone, but I strongly advise anyone renting from them to be extremely cautious during check-in and check-out. Make sure to record videos and take detailed evidence of the property’s condition before moving in and after moving out. It seems they try to profit unfairly from both tenants and landlords.

When I began renting my house I had no idea what I was doing so thought it would be best to receive some help from an estate agent. I would not recommend using your move as a landlord. I consistently felt that communication was lacking. It was never easy to speak to someone to solve any issues. Your move advertise their services as ' peace of mind' and ' keeping your property looking it's best'. My experience of using them was anything but. Prior to my last tenants moving in your move conducted an inspection and completed an inventory. I received this inventory on the day the tenants moved in which gave me no time to fix any of the issues. Apparently an estate agent called Liam did the inspection who must have been walking around with his eyes closed if he thought it was acceptable to allow tenants to move in to. The garden was a jungle, mirrors were broken, sofas covered in stains, furniture thrown in the garage, mattresses also stained, stained carpets and a dirty house. I spoke to multiple people but the main person I needed to talk to to solve the complaint was Lindsay who was hardly ever available to speak. She would promise me she would call me back about my complaint but never would. It took a long time to resolve this issues. I wanted an estate agent to help alleviate stress from renting a house and it did the complete opposite. the previous tenant to this moved in to a bed that was broken, again something I felt was the responsibility of yourmove to identify when they charge so much for move in and inventory fees. At this time I was away on holiday and asked the estate agent to arrange for a new bed to be delivered and I would pay for it. This took 4 weeks and was still not sorted when I arrived home from my holiday. I found that there was always a problem when new tenants moved in due to the lack of diligence and communication with your move. I also always felt as though they didn't want to take responsibility for any issues. I also felt that the work men they hired were also very expensive for what they actually did. Well moving forwards the whole experience has helped me learn how not to rent out a property and has given me lots of insight into how to do it right. Every cloud.

While the marketing package you pay for unlike some estate agent it was well worth the money, the photos were fantastic and the VR walk around a great addition. Needless to say the house sold within a month no doubt due how well it was marketed. I'd use your move again in a heartbeat! I sincerely hope we never have to deal with this company again. We own our property but the house next door is rented through this agency. The shared fence collapsed into our garden so we contacted them to ask the landlord to contribute half to the repair. After jumping through several hoops (spanning months) including downloading and paying for additional house deeds (we never saw theirs in response), getting quotes to be told they were too expensive we eventually agreed to the fence being repaired instead of replaced by one of their preferred contractors. We were then told we'd have to pay cash up front, whilst next door was invoiced. I asked to see a copy of the bill but was told we could only see our invoice, not theirs and was told to contact the contractor myself. Throughout the process they were incredibly rude, unhelpful and made us feel as if we were doing something wrong by asking for the contribution, even though there was nothing to say the fence belonged to either side. We will be telling all friends and family to avoid at all costs.

Shoddy and unprofessional service. From the moment I arrived in branch and the valuer couldn't be bothered to break off her personal conversation to take my details, to the fact that these were jotted on the edge of a blotter, I suspected this would be a shambles!
Having waited 45 mins in an empty house ... no one arrived. When I rang I was told that she had gone to the wrong house. I find that unlikely as everyone on that corner of the street would have directed her to the right one. In addition I had given her a mobile number to contact me and no call came.
This service is upwards of £1600, so I am pleased for the company if they are doing so well that they can treat customers in this way.

The most stressful and expensive time renting a house that had soaking ceilings and wasn’t habitable. My concerns and reasonable requests were ignored. It cost a fortune in heating bills trying to reduce the damp. I will not deal with company again. The house should not have been advertised. It was one traumatic situation to another.

Liam Wright is the most unprofessional estate agent any business person should ever deal with... He is very unprofessional, rude, and lack competence. I booked appointment to view a property and had to travel 6hrs round trip without your move properly following up the appointment. First an appointment was booked on a house that was already sold and secondly this property in Middlesbrough which they totally don't have access or control over.
I will never have anything or let anyone I know or don't know have anything to do with such a very unprofessional company that lack professionalism. Your customer or client is your business the moment you loose one you have lost 1m because you don't know the will power of the customer you treated wrongly. This 21st century Your Move having such incompetent staffs to deal with business minded people is so disgusting.
Worse estate agent in United Kingdom is Your Move Darlington branch with the likes of Liam the branch should be closed down.
He is racist.

Not a pleasant, straight forward or at all satisfactory experience with Your Move in Darlington and typical of what you can expect from the vast majority of estate agents in my extensive experiences. This agent does the very least amount of work for the maximum fee and expects the client to chase them up for progress (often!) with little intervention to ascertain what's going on along the chain and report back and quick enough to pass the responsibility on to and blame others involved when it comes to delays leading to completion! Really annoyed with this estate agents attitude and the lack of progress made until due pressure was applied, which as a client should never have been necessary in the first place and prolonged the completion of the sale by several weeks by failing to manage the chain or communicate adequately with all those involved. Incompetent, obnoxious, arrogant, ignorant and unprofessional staff at almost all levels with the single exception of the initial valuer and would not recommend them at all, leaving the remaining option of then having to choose the best of a bad bunch, good luck there and you've been warned! Not a profession in any sense of the word, more like a racket! This is not a matter for further discussion (David James) but a reflection of my experience for potential customers to heed!

I would definitely recommend Liam to another customer and am grateful for his help. The rest of the staff were also very helpful.
However, the 'vetting' system used to assess me and my guarantor was unbeliveably frustrating. It was an extremly invasive and unnecessary level of referencing and financial assessment which delayed the entire process significantly as well as adding a lot of stress to the process.

I won't lie they were not the "cheapest" estate agents I looked at but the sales manager was someone I instantly felt I could trust and would do the job correctly. Very quick to take the cash/deposit for the house off you, but very slow to give it back. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO A FULL INVENTORY AND KEEP IT, THEY CAME UP WITH SOME RIDUCULOUS IDEAS ON CHECK OUT. I have just purchased a house with Your Move and Amy helped the process to go smoothly and swiftly. From the initial queries and visit, Amy reminded me to just drop her an email if I had any questions, which I did, a lot throughout the process, but she consistently replied almost instantly on every occasion. I felt I was always updated at each stage and whenever there was a change, as well as my mum who was informed throughout too as I sometimes work night shifts meaning I struggle to get in touch through the day. It was quite daunting being a first time buyer so young but I felt I had support from Amy and the team the whole way through and they were able to answer any questions I had as well as give much needed suggestions. I also felt that the team were very consistent with chasing up the vendors and solicitors which ensured the process went as quickly as possible. I own a number of properties managed by Your Move in Darlington. Over many years I’ve used a number of letting agents but the service and help I get from the Darlington office is exemplary, they go out of their way to help whether it an issue with a tenant, reletting a property, maintenance issues or a revamp of a property after a longstanding tenant moves on. I cannot speak highly enough of their service and help all very important to me as I am not a local resident and essential in ensuring an excellent working relationship. Excellent support team in Darlington , I've had tenants in the past and sold a property recently, no matter my query or issue, it was always dealt with efficiently. Emma, David and Danielle have always made time for me to call or pop in to the office with questions and they have always resolved them with a high friendly ,Professional standard of service. They also have excellent links with companies to help in all areas including for example, solicitors and boiler service connections and I have always found these companys and people to be of a highly professional and polite standard reflecting well on your moves recommendations and service.

Very disappointed with their service whilst trying to find a tenant for my rental property.

What a fantastic service I have recieved from all the team at Your Move Darlington branch from walking into shop the warm welcoming that you receive from everyone they make you feel so welcome throughout your visit! And they even throw in tea and biscuits!!!! What more could you ask for??
I wasn't sure at first that I was able to get a mortgage and in came My mortgage adviser Amanda who has made my mortgage application so stress free and easy from start to finish! She's always on hand for advice and gives you first hand updates on your mortgage when she has them! She's been able to find the best possible rates on the market and helped throughout the whole process! From mortgage advice through to application and beyond Amanda has been an absolute legend and is a credit to Your Move Darlington I wouldn't go anywhere else in the future!! Give them a call they will give you 110% customer service and customer satisfaction! And top tip when choosing your move always visit armed with cake and you will see the appreciation on their faces because they will work through their lunches to make sure every customer is happy!!!

Poor valuation and rather expensive for what we got. Sales advice was lacking as was any real help in getting our sale pushed through any quicker. Due to the market at the time, we lost 15% on the original price of the house. If we'd have followed the advice of Your Move we'd have been waiting a lot longer to sell.
