3 hours before the appointment I received a call from Polly canceling said appointment due to the valuer not being in.
The agent explained that "the admin team must not have realised that the valuer was off". This is a blatant lie as Rhea spoke to the valuer Rebecca during the phone call on Tuesday to confirm she was available.
The appointment was booked 4 days in advance. This is very disappointing and unprofessional. Business has been lost and a sour taste left behind.

Bridgfords is just the best and their houses are usually beautiful. They were also very responsive and helpful right from the letting process to when we moved in. Issues are usually responded to on time for the 12 months we stayed. It's been a wonderful experience so far. No regrets. You won't regret it.

Avoid Sales & Lettings.
One of the worst estate agents I have ever used. I have recently rented my house out, the lettings department never answer the phones. Quick to take your money and run. The manager Max has no personal skills, very rude and your typical " wide boy " They managed my property for only 4 months. The tenant had to contact me off facebook as had a couple of issues and Bridgfords weren't in contact.
I am now using Carver Residential Darlington completely different service and wouldn't use anyone else

I am currently a tenant living at one of the flats rented by Bridgefords lettings. Everything prior to renting the actual flat went smoothly. However, I’ve had a awful situation after moving in. Prior to moving in, I’d been told there was a way to dispose refuse behind the property in the alley. This was told to me by the landlord on moving in. However, I soon found out that wasn’t true. I can’t contact the landlord directly and every thing goes through the agency. I contacted the council and they can’t give me bins because we haven’t been provided a place to store them. I can’t drive so I can’t throw my waste away at the skip. So I’m stuck in a horrible situation. I’ve tried to contact the letting agency multiple times to help me with a solution but received static silence in response. I’ve made several phone calls, messages and even sent an email regarding waste disposal at the property. So I’m sorry but I’d rate the agency lower if I could.

Am a cash buyer, with no chain.
First to view a property, I offer the asking price. Am then lied to by sales about ghost buyers, who must be informed of my offer. This is then endorsed by the Head of Sales (HoS), who then carries on to over ride my conversation, raise her voice at me, gaslight me and brow beat over trivial matters. I was then informed by HoS that its "a sellers market", when actually the market is stagnating at the moment. I was also asked by HoS, to provide proof of funds, ID etc, when my offer had not been accepted. Again untrustworthy, and totally unprofessional.

I have had a very poor experience with Bridgfords. I live over 250 miles away from my rental property but I can honestly say I could have done a better job at managing the property myself compared to Bridgfords. I pay 13% a month and they do not collect rent on time, do not send contractors out on time, do not update me with anything. My tenant actually emailed me on several occasions as Bridgfords were not doing their Job. Whatever you do, please look at other estate agents and stay away. Nathan and Anna were decent and put in effort. Adele does not care neither does the manager - Mark I think his name is. I have learned this lesson the hard way

We have had a horrific time, and have a folder the size of the dictionary regarding all the wrong doings this branch has done, not just regarding us as tenants, but towards the landlord too.
We have evidence of bold faced lies about us from emails they have sent, and evidence of the correct details they have ‘lied’ about it.
Do not use this branch. Their only credit is Nathan who is great at his job and honest.

I was forced to move out of my own home as they could not broker an arrangement between all the parties, was asked if I could move into rented /hotel until my new build was ready.
£125 good will gesture - when they take over 2 grand.
Laughable at the very best !!!

I am a new landlord and was not sure what to expect in this new venture of mine. Looking for a management company to manage my property I sent emails to three different agents. Max from Bridgfords replied back with a comprehensive email, detailing the services they offer and what to expect by using them. I knew straight away that Bridgfords was the way for me after that email.
Before I completed on the property purchase, Max had already been to survey the property area and talked to the neighbours. After purchase, Max picked the keys up from the sales agent and had a let agreed on the property in less than 2hrs! Max is very proactive and kept me informed through out. He is also extremely easy to deal with and goes straight to the point!
If this is the type of service Bridgfords offers (looking at the other reviews) it seems like it is, I'd look no further for all my property management service. Massive thank you Bridgford!

I've just bought a house through Bridgfords, I can honestly say they have been absolutely wonderful! My mum now says that if (when!) she sells she would definitely use them. Arranged a viewing with bridgefords, estate agent was late so we called the main office to be told that the guy had already left as he had another appointment to go to, and we were there at the time arranged. Also had to chase up a confirmation email from them when arranging. Very poor service, I’d advise to go elsewhere.

If you're a Landlord RUN AWAY!! They do not check references and even suggest bad tenants to landlords!
I had a dispute going on about the deposit held after the tenant trashed my house and left with unpaid rent and no forward contact details. Turned out 4 months later deposit still with Bridgfords and they call me saying 'good news' the tenant has called and wants the deposit. I ask about address details and they informed me he was a "new tenant" of theirs who they accepted and offered to a landlord based on income only. I guess they did not feel like mentioning to the new landlord the tenant wrecked the last house they were in.

Georgia Greenstreet at Bridgfords was everything we needed from an estate agent. She not only put us onto some great investment opportunities but she also was very patient with us even when we missed an appointment and left something behind at the property! Stuart (Mortgage Consultant) in the Darlington branch was amazing, easy to deal with and knew his stuff, rings you back instantly, gets you a brew, everything that you expect to happen but doesnt with other companies - (brew was a tad milky). His knowledge of mortgages and the system is second to none and I would have seriously struggled without him. He even stayed stayed back till 7pm on a Friday to complete the mortgage offer. My only regret is that I didn't use Bridgfords for the house sale and to advise the best solicitor. 100% recommend, even saved me money on SKY TV.

Absolutely wonderful, trustworthy staff who genuinely care about your wants and needs.
We were really anxious about finding a property to let and Duncan really put us at ease. He found us some wonderful properties to view and we would have happily chosen one until we found out through Duncan that we could apply for a mortgage!
We have since been accepted and are starting our house hunt!
