Very disappointing service. After weeks with no viewings (when the housing market had really started to pick up and other similar properties were selling) I handed them my notice to move to a different agent.
They finally made an effort at that point and somehow found a cash buyer in 3 days who I was told could complete ASAP (as a condition of my accepting the offer).
However the communication after that was poor. They ignored messages and calls from the agent in my related transaction and did nothing to make sure the buyer's affairs were on track. We had to delay exchange multiple times. Atkinson Mcleod told me strange stories about the buyer being in a tiny village where it isn't possible to make bank transactions but it eventually transpired that the buyer's related sale hadn't exchanged so they didn't have the deposit.
The agent took holiday at a crucial point in my sale, which is completely fine, but no one else in the office was able to cover for them, which left me in a very awkward situation. Charging this much, I would hope the agent could offer holiday cover for their staff.
Even on the day of completion, Atkinson Mcleod didn't bother getting the keys to hand to the buyer so it was left to me to deal with that. Shocking service.
