Pettyson may be good for sales, but their lettings team let's the side down! We have been renting for 10 years, and the last 4 have been with Pettyson. We have had multiple issues with the flat, but Pettyson were not helpful and seemed to care more about the landlord than us, who were actually paying to live in the flat. Check out was just as unprofessional, with the checking agency providing us with all the relevant information, while Pettyson stayed silent.... Well, except to email us to ask if we could facilitate a viewing, three days after we vacated the property. Good luck future tenants!

Sold the family home through Petty Son & Prestwich. They were excellent throughout the process, from initial contact, to viewings and the sale. Staff all so friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend for their efficiency and personal service. Lovely to use an established local, independent company.

Very content indeed with the service. Daniel Roe led the way but the rest of the team were very responsive and also helpful popping in to check the property and give access to surveyors etc.

Petty were fantastic , from day 1 in how they introduced themselves and a personalised approach, to regularly keeping us in the loop and doing the chasing when it was needed to be done. Never had an issue with getting in touch with someone or getting an update.

Our experience with Petty Son and Prestwich was disappointing, particularly regarding their failure to adhere to the tenancy agreement. The contract clearly required any proposed deposit deductions to be notified within a set timeframe, which was not met. While we were informed that payment might be delayed, this does not override or amend the contractual obligation they agreed to.
A £220 cleaning deduction was later proposed despite the independent checkout report confirming the property was returned to a high domestic standard with only minor wear and tear, and no itemised evidence was provided. Regular inspections throughout the tenancy raised no issues. Greater professionalism, transparency, and adherence to contractual terms would be expected.

I was a tenant of a property managed by Petty Son for 4 years and have zero complaints about how they manage tenancies. They are supportive, communicative, and have great digital tools in place to report any issues or repairs needed. Felt they always presented the landlords perspective with understanding of ours, and helped resolve any issues quickly and effectively. Particular thanks to Zoe for all her help. Would recommend renting a Petty Son managed property to anyone.
