I called and chatted at length with Philippa Jackson-Day. She was lovely! Both very professional, informative and couldn’t do enough to help me. I’m in the process of looking for a property to purchase and now have absolute confidence that Nock Deighton will do everything that they can, to find me a new home and help with all the surveys and solicitors that I require. Their services go much further than just finding the house. Once again, Philippa was a fantastic first contact, as her help was second to none. Many thanks Debs Carroll-Beer... Read more

Absolutely atrocious service!! My Husband contacted the Ludlow branch on Saturday 22nd September to ask for a viewing of a rented house on their books for Friday 28th @ 3pm, he was told the letting team were busy and as we currently live in Spain he gave my email address so they could contact us. No response by Monday lunchtime, so he rang again and spoke to another person who was most apologetic, but ensured him that someone would contact us via email ASAP! No response again by Tuesday lunchtime, so he rang again and spoke to yet another different person who was also very apologetic but would pass the message on to the unobtainable lettings team!! It is now Wednesday late morning and still no response!! This is incredibly annoying as we are only in the UK for 4 days (which was explained to everyone spoken to) and need to view as many properties that we are interested in within that time period. However thanks to what we can only assume is an extreme lack of communication between the staff or a complete indifference to our needs this property will not be one of the properties, which I'm sure the current Landlords would find very disappointing!!... Roger Parry & Partners assisted me in the sale of my late mother's property, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, providing assistance to me right from probate until the property completed. They made a difficult time for my family bearable. Wouldn't use another agent again.... Read more

What can I say. McCartneys are definitely the best estate agents I have dealt with to date. My house sale in Shropshire completed yesterday and they have been efficient, courteous and easy to contact from initial survey to final completion stage. Danielle Allison deserves a special mention here- always on the end of the line with the right info, and her finger well and truly on the pulse. Wyn and Jamie were also superb ! I would definitely recommend this business to any family friends and contacts. If I could leave 10 stars I definitely would......... Read more

The senior partner of this company knew that I was making a very long journey to view this property (245 mile round trip) and, unfortunately, he sent a young man who knew virtually nothing about the property, could not answer many of my questions, did not have a key for a door marked "chemicals, keep out" and did not know what was behind it and told me that a cylinder in the house was the boiler when it plainly wasn't. The journey was a complete waste of my time and money and I did not feel confident in the agents enough to proceed with the purchase of a property that I was keen to buy. I felt thoroughly undervalued as a customer. I will avoid using the Welshpool office in future.... Read more

I would not recommend this 'estate agents' to anyone, they have been as useful as the proverbial chocolate teapot throughout the property buying experience. Lying, not returning calls, not being proactive, when you do call them it is as though you have disturbed them from something (and whatever that something is, it is not selling properties) complete time wasting joke of a company.... Me and my family rented Tegfan, Llangadfan, SY21 0PR from Norman Lloyd from Mr Toby Assinger. Upon moving into the property we noticed the master bedroom window and the built-in wardrobes were covered in Stachybotrys(black mould), the paint work was patchy and shoddy with a number of scuff marks, there was dust in nearly every room and the garage fascia had heavy moss growth. We complained to the landlord and Norman Lloyd to which they responded that we should take photos of the condition of the property which we did and then cleaned the property throughout to a liveable standard. 5 Weeks later the landlord asked to inspect the property we obliged even though this would seem too soon into the tenancy especially given the condition it was let in. He apologised for the condition the property was let and no concerns were raised. Imagine our surprise when only three weeks later we receive a letter from Norman Lloyd claiming the landlord was wishing to sell the property and would need to enter to take photos of every room. Why you would want a tenants belonging inside the property whilst you do this i do not know, also why the landlord felt the need to sell the property after letting it for 8 Weeks is questionable. We were also told in no uncertain terms whilst the landlord couldn't serve us our Section 21 notice we were more than welcome to find a new property. I have three children one of which suffers with cerebral palsy, he is due to have a very expensive life changing operation this is one of the main reasons we chose a bungalow. It left me and my family very distressed and out of pocket having to find a new home in such a short period of time. Norman Lloyd have merged with MMP and once we had decided we have to find a new home and moved out it was MMP's turn to attempt to extort my family. They claimed the house required re-painting at a cost of £225 to us and cleaning to the cost of £140 to us. We obviously did not accept these deductions to our deposit and i kindly pointed out that not only was the house in an unfit state when it was let, no inventory was signed by ourselves and the landlord or neither agent had the legal documentation required to determine what condition the house was in when we let it. Below are pictures of the property when we let and two of the cleanliness when we left. The house is currently being let which was agreed almost immediately after we left, even though the property was apparently being sold. There is nothing in law to stop agents and landlords doing this, in my opinion there should be. Ultimately i feel me and my family were discriminated against by the Landlord Mr Toby Assinger, Norman Lloyd and Morris Marshall Poole and i felt this review was necessary to help protect other young families like mine....
